10/09/2026: On Tuesday, I walked past the bar and heard some nice music... I continued my "shopping" with my 19-year-old daughter... a downpour... we walked past the bar again... we stopped... great "rock" music, we ordered a cocktail... the Sex on the Beach... friendly service, the waiter or owner was super nice, and the music was even better!!! Anyway, I live on Oleron. I didn't know about this place, but I imagine it must be quite lively in the evenings 😂 It was 4 pm and we were taking the boat back to Oleron... have a great evening to the person who made us the delicious cocktail!!! I forgot to mention... the restrooms 😂 the girls' area has great decor! 😂 Kisses to the team

19/10/2026: A 20-minute wait for a little Nutella and a complete order—apparently the chocolate is heating up! The waiter's response? And the fuse tea must be brewing, right?! It's unbelievable, such a stupid response after two 20-minute waits. The waffles are cold; it's really helpful for the Nutella to be heating up...

12/10/2026: We just left L'Escale, and we were delighted with our meal: the homemade fries and chicken fillets in mushroom sauce were perfectly prepared. As for dessert, the plate was a delight: cake, ice cream, fromage blanc with strawberry coulis.

11/10/2026: Unique setting! Starter, daily special (if there's any left), dessert! The buffet isn't extensive, and the food is heavy. I wouldn't really recommend it!

14/10/2026: Obviously (1st impression from outside) a nice place. But due to the fact, that all places outside was full, I went in, to have a look, if there are a place to have 1 (or 2) beers. Immediately the 'nice' man on the bar, advised me, polite but resolute, that this is "NOT A PUBLIC LOCATION".... So: to have a look for a seat is forbidden or this location is only for members 🤔🙄, or he is simply rude 🤔? Logically I take a beer next door. 🤷‍♂️

28/01/2026: Nice menu. Very fresh. But there was a lack of warmth, both in the service and the atmosphere; the minimalist decor didn't make me feel comfortable. But I still recommend this restaurant! The food is excellent.

19/08/2026: Very good pizzas with generous toppings. However, the wait was very long for August 15th; you had to be patient. More than 10 phone calls (all ringing unanswered) before they finally deigned to pick up, and over an hour's wait. But August 15th in Royan is something else!

06/10/2026: I went to see them. I greeted the staff and asked where I could charge my phone, explaining that I would order something later. I stayed on my phone to take care of some urgent matters. They came over to tell me to either order something or leave. I preferred to leave an establishment that doesn't show the respect and attention due to its customers and that practically throws them out. Yet, the place was almost empty. They also told a lot of lies in response to my review. I advise you to learn how to treat customers better.

16/08/2026: A small, intimate, and discreet restaurant. A warm welcome, excellent homemade cuisine from the house cocktails to the desserts. Delicious and easily digestible dishes. Very good value for money. Reservations are essential, of course!

07/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! Refined and excellent dishes. Very pleasant and welcoming staff. Perfect value for money. Reservations are necessary as the dining room is small, but this creates a very pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

30/08/2026: We stayed here for a week as a family of 4 with two teenagers, camping. The pitch was a good size but nite that I had picked one of the larger pitches based on the map - you can pre-book a pitch. Some of the other pitches were very small, and also very sandy which caused a number of vehicles to get stuck, needing to bebpullednout via tractor. There are limited toilets, creating queues during peak times. We visited the last week of August so the campsite was thinning out and don't cause us too much if an issue. The toilets could definitely be cleaned to a higher standard e.g. same bit of litter found in the toilets across multiple days. Not really 5 star standard. However toilets did have toilet paper and the showers were hot. Pool was very nice although main pool needed heating to a slightly higher temperature, or at least covered overnight to retain it's heat. The beach is nice, and walkable, but very rocky. Beware the pictures just showing the sand. . Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bike hire onsite very good. I would not come back here to camp or take a mobile home. I'm sure the guests in the mobile homes and hotel have a better overall experience.

08/05/2026: We had a fantastic long weekend at Camping des Grenettes! The pitch, mobile home, nearby parking, mini-market, children's play area, and proximity to the beach were all perfect 👌 Just a minor drawback: the departure time and the slightly chilly heated outdoor pool!

11/09/2026: Thanks to Julien and his whole team for their good cheer; our café has been like this for a very long time. The only downside is finding a seat for an aperitif; it's a victim of its own success, so you have to keep an eye out. Very nice terrace.

19/08/2026: The cafe du commerce, a friendly place, always pleasant to sit down at a table and take the time to have a drink.

21/10/2026: Very pleasant atmosphere, unobstructed view, and sunset. There isn't a huge menu, but the portions are generous. There isn't much seating during events! You have to arrive early.

28/09/2026: A really nice spot with very competitive prices. Simple and good food. The mackerel rillettes are excellent! Highly recommended!

11/10/2026: This restaurant has the delightful charm of an authentic oyster shack. Upon arrival, the owner gave us a warm welcome and made no problem at all with our dogs. We were able to choose our table and settled into a quiet corner at the back. The staff is very friendly, and it was truly kind of them to do their best to speak English, even though we spoke French very well. Their kindness was truly comforting. The meal was excellent! The oysters for starters weren't huge, but they were very refined, with a magnificent flavor and exceptional freshness. The main courses were also perfect. The highlight was the dessert: a magnificent coconut sorbet, very rich and creamy, enhanced with a few other flavors and a touch of grated lime zest. Incredibly delicious! An excellent place to remember and absolutely recommend in Château-d'Oléron!

10/10/2026: We received a warm welcome, and our dog was accepted. The setting is ideal, right by the sea, and the cuisine is full of flavor, featuring local produce with a Caribbean touch. A great time! 👏

21/08/2026: From order taking to dessert, a huge congratulations to the entire team, the amazing chef, and the owner! 👍 I highly recommend it without hesitation.
