The waitress felt the platters were too large because customers weren't finishing them.
We felt the quality of the food wasn't good enough to finish.
To each their own.

06/08/2026: We went as a family. There was a band playing to create an atmosphere, but unfortunately the music was so loud we couldn't talk to each other. The burger was cooked roughly; we ordered it rare and it was served very rare. The squid à la provençale with four new potatoes was rather small. The service was very good.
05/08/2026: We wanted to eat, but unfortunately we were asked to leave the table. Sad, the restaurant was empty.

14/08/2026: Original shapes and packaging, but the quality is sorely lacking. The chocolates were past their prime and therefore bad (whitened). No flavor whatsoever. A hefty bill for this disappointment. Avoid this place.

21/05/2026: A wonderful discovery! The oysters were a delight, bursting with ocean freshness. The mussels en papillote made us want to come back... The place is simple and friendly, the kind of place we'd love to find instead of fast food... We wish them a great season; they deserve it, and this place is well worth the detour.

26/06/2026: The owners are always very welcoming and the food is always excellent (homemade, not industrial), which is why I return to this restaurant whenever I have the opportunity to be in La Rochelle.
10/06/2026: I was quite disappointed with my visit. The staff provided the bare minimum of service; admittedly, it was fairly busy, but the welcome wasn't very warm, as if I were bothering them. After paying, I barely even said goodbye.

18/08/2026: The food: The food was simply inedible. The ingredients were woefully unfresh, the seasoning was nonexistent, and the cooking was a complete disaster. You're practically guaranteed food poisoning with every bite.
The service: A frosty welcome and appallingly amateurish staff. Slow, haughty, and visibly annoyed by the mere presence of customers.
Hygiene: Cleanliness was appalling, from the sticky tables to the disgustingly filthy restrooms.

16/08/2026: Avoid this place at all costs. Even if you have the courtesy to point out a broken chair, the owner couldn't care less and thinks it's no big deal. What's more, the food is mediocre.

22/08/2026: A great place to eat delicious sushi and other Japanese food. I always enjoy coming here. The food is good, the service is excellent, and there's never a long wait. I highly recommend this place. They also have a very extensive menu, which makes you want to try everything.
I just want to point out that I find some of the items rather expensive, but that's just my personal opinion.
