27/10/2025: We were with friends this Sunday, October 26th. We wanted to try this restaurant, Moulin de la Vergne; what a lovely name! WHEN WE ARRIVED, WE WERE SURPRISED BY THE ENTRANCE TO THE PARKING LOT, NOT VERY ATTRACTIVE TO COME IN.... I THINK IT HAS ACTUALLY JUST BEEN BOUGHT..... OTHERWISE, MEALS: NOT ENOUGH CHOICE FOR A MENU BETWEEN 20 AND 25 EUROS. THERE'S NOT AN A LA CARTE MENU. POSSIBLY FISH, COD, OR SALMON. CUISINE, A PITY. OTHERWISE, THE WELCOME IS VERY GOOD. THE PRESENTATION OF THE DISHES: TO BE REVIEWED. LOOK FOR WHITE PLATES IF POSSIBLE. FOR THE MAGNIFICENT SETTING, THE EXPOSED STONES ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL. 11/04/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant while passing through, and it was a very happy accident. We received a warm welcome, and the staff was very friendly. The food was fantastic. The surf and turf tartare was to die for. The homemade desserts were delicious. The best canelé I've ever tasted. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back. Keep up the good work; you're everything we look for to have a great time. Best regards

28/10/2025: It's not good. Everything is sloppy, from the service to the kitchen. Nothing is empty. And the worst part is that it's crowded. Absolutely avoid.

13/10/2025: I can't wait to go back to Bree-les-Bains to eat mussels with Roquefort cheese at this restaurant again. I've always been disappointed elsewhere, and this market restaurant is impeccably clean. See you soon, September 2026, we're coming back for our holidays.

15/02/2026: Friendly staff, but they work in the kitchen in jogging pants without uniforms. From the moment we opened: dirty floor, dirty tables, and extremely dirty toilets. Floor littered with toilet paper and smelling strongly of urine.

14/02/2026: Well-located restaurant, good atmosphere, minor drawbacks: undercooked fries, not-very-crispy nuggets, slippery floor, and signage put up a bit too late after a customer fell.

24/04/2026: We were refused dinner upon our arrival at 8:50 pm, even though we had been told we could come until 9:15 pm. So we didn't have dinner. We were required to reserve breakfast by selecting the desired items, some of which had an extra charge, with no prices indicated. We had to fill out the form on the corner of a tiny counter before receiving our key. I've never seen anything like it. We refused. To reach the room, you have to walk along the edge of the pool without any barrier, which seems dangerous if you go out at night unsupervised. The room was cool, with cobwebs, and access to the bathroom was via a high step from the bedroom, not marked by any tape. The bathtub was old and high, with a sort of open window overlooking the room. The toilet seat was broken, and there were two glasses with a sign indicating that a bottle of Evian was free, but no bottle in the room. The minibar was empty, and the light switches only worked on the left side of the room, nothing on the right. There was no reading lamp. The room was on the ground floor with exterior access through a French window without a roller shutter, just blackout curtains that weren't long enough to provide complete privacy. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things, but the services were awful, far from deserving 4 stars. I complained to the receptionist on the evening of our arrival and confirmed my complaints at check-out. The manager denied everything and, instead of questioning herself, accused me of deliberately choosing to have a bad stay. Unbelievable!

07/02/2026: Excellent crepes, generously filled, even those on the "cabin boy" menu. Quick service. The waitresses are welcoming and efficient. Prices are reasonable. A great find for a lunch break.

19/04/2026: I have never eaten in a McDonald's so bad, everything was frozen, the coke had no taste, the fries weren't salty, everything needs to be reviewed, and especially the toilets were very, very dirty.

24/03/2026: A tiny restaurant in La Pallice, with a menu of fresh and delicious-looking dishes. You want to try everything. The daily special, fillet of pollack on potatoes from Île de Ré with wild garlic, was a delight. A friendly bistro atmosphere, just the way we like them.
