18/09/2024: Café Snack “Le Chougare” (= Sugar!) just opposite the La Rochelle SNCF train station. Very warm welcome by the owners (Jean-Noël and his wife). Very reasonable prices (much more than others in the same sector…). Family type bar (not “Tourist trap”). Ideal for people or students passing through the area, especially between the train station and the different schools. Very clean. In addition, a big advantage for internet users: as much as you want on the terrace or 20 minutes indoors (editor's note: yes, indoors, you have to leave room for others...). Good and economical breakfast (coffee + pastries). All I have to do is try the sandwiches, the homemade dishes and the wraps which all look very good. I recommend this small business, especially for young and old looking for peace and quiet, both to study and to chat in peace. Provisional score: 19/20.

09/09/2024: Delicious quiche and excellent homemade flan in an establishment that exudes good humor. Very practical for a quick bite to eat between two trains, or when connecting a train and regional coaches at the bus station.

14/09/2024: On recommande vivement cette pizzeria : Accueil chaleureux, cadre agréable et surtout excellentes pizzas. Bien garnies de produits italiens, pâte à pain comme on l'aime. Petit plus : une crème de limoncello délicieuse pour terminer le repas. On reviendra rapidement.
