12/09/2024: Nice place but surprise: when we asked for a carafe of water, we were refused!!! Not very commercial and incomprehensible to us. We consumed wine and aperitifs!!!.

18/07/2024: Ashamed Yesterday, 07/17/24, we tested the “Guingette” version of your establishment which seemed to be promising based on all the reviews. We arrive at 7:40 p.m.… beautiful atmosphere and friendly decor. The cards arrive quite quickly by a waitress and 3 seconds later another waiter (the great hero of our misadventures) arrives and asks us if we have chosen. To which I respond that we didn't have time to read the maps. The waiter leaves a little annoyed but this seemed to indicate a fast service, which is not bad. A few minutes later we order an aperitif, a Caesar salad to share as a starter, and a prime rib for two. We were served the aperitif and then quite quickly the Caesar salad, which seemed to us to be rather small for the price… but almost at the end of our salad, so late after the first, a second plate of Caesar salad arrived. So we are surprised.. the waitress told us that it was to make it more convenient. Good intention but it would have been more judicious to take both plates at the same time. Around 8 p.m. we had finished our salad. At 8:40 p.m., still having our plates empty of salad, I called the waiter to find out if the prime rib was ready soon (seeing that it was starting to take a long time... and so that there was no forgetting unfortunate). Here is the response from the server: “Um, you know how things work in a restaurant???? If you still have your plates, it’s not ready!!  » To what extent can the waiter of a restaurant of your standing, even in a tavern version, dare to speak in such an insolent, casual and disrespectful manner towards customers. Inadmissible. So we left before the prime rib arrived, with half a Caesar salad in each stomach. The dishes looked appetizing but your service was mediocre and absolutely not up to par and even less so given your prices. Obviously, no commercial gesture was made regarding the few meals and drinks consumed.

30/07/2024: Bad luck, my partner who often frequents this restaurant with his work colleagues, invited me to eat the daily menu, this Friday (07/26). Worse than worse, we can't do, even for a novice, especially if he starts with a budget of €16.20... Starter: 2 peas, 3 beans, a floret of broccoli, a radish and a bit of lamb’s lettuce. Almost non-existent dressing. Good for a vegetarian, but, I'm not!!!! Dish: super rubbery squid (I had trouble digesting it), soft and overcooked rice, as for the sauce, I think the salt shaker escaped the cook's hands. Well, for me, it will stop there....ah yes, still, the tomato juice was good

21/08/2024: Best raw milk cheeses in Europe. Until anybody proves otherwise ;) Totally great place. Super friendly Anthony, his son, and whole personnel. You guys are the best!

06/09/2024: We called on Arbre Vert for an evening between professionals in the form of a buffet dinner. Welcomed in their reception room with access to the terrace. Friendly welcome from the organization to the bill. Dishes for all tastes, savory and sweet. Excellent staff and very pleasant service.

29/08/2024: The dish is normal. It's hard to make the waitress smile. The Alsatian reception was not very positive among my friends from the interior, except for the Parisians who are used to a lack of friendliness.

27/08/2024: We were with two friends one evening, the lady who took the orders was not at all kind, citing the fact that she was alone after more than half an hour that we had been there waiting and we called her. The choucroute is sufficient

26/08/2024: I would say, it was as I expected / I have been told. Which is no common these days and I'm very happy with what I found. Enjoyed Asterix and it was a good choice :-) btw. loved the mirrors on the loo :-)

19/08/2024: What a gem. In the middle of nowhere, you don’t usually find something like this. A tribute to Obelix and Asterix. The meat was perfectly cooked and delicious. The soup was also very good. Highly recommend!

06/09/2024: Very nice and quiet hotel with restaurant in the old city wall. Very good tarte flambée. People also speak German. The room on the top floor was newly renovated and had air conditioning. Breakfast costs €12 extra per person. Attention: the stairs from the ground floor to the 1st floor are extremely narrow and steep. Then we go back to the DG. The hotel has parking tickets for several days for parking in the large parking lot. Otherwise the space costs €4 per day (to be taken from the parking machine)

03/09/2024: Both the hotel, for the quiet location and the beauty and cleanliness of the rooms, and the restaurant, for the quality of the meat and variety of typical dishes of the area are highly recommended!!..the portions are generous and the prices are fair in relation to the quality!..excellent wines and beer!!

02/08/2024: Two separate employees assured us we would be served charcuterie at midday when we asked, then another server told us the kitchen was closed once we ordered. Drinks only.

23/09/2024: Think one of the best restaurants in Riquewihr. The dishes were top notch. The atmosphere is very friendly. We were one of the first and thought: "oh, not many people, what will that be?" But the place will be completely full for 30 minutes. Justifiably! Laundry was great.
