30/05/2026: A small hotel with a beautiful view of Port-Vieux Beach. We had a deluxe room, plenty of space, and it was very clean. All the amenities and furniture were in good condition. The breakfast was modest—continental—but reasonably priced. You can also order an omelet or other items from the menu for an extra fee. There's no elevator, but the staff carried our luggage up and out of the room. Overall, our stay was very good. I'd love to come back and spend more time there.

20/11/2025: I'm giving one star for the staff's smiles. To begin with, there was no heating; we were told it would warm up with the crowds. No Beaujolais Nouveau was offered on its release day. There was no choice of menu; it was a set menu for workers, even though the website makes no mention of this and there's a nice menu with good ingredients. We managed to get the duck breast with honey sauce listed on the menu, but it didn't have the sauce. According to them, we should have specified when ordering that we wanted it. Apparently, according to the owner, this restaurant will close and reopen in January. It's best to wait for the reopening before going.

19/10/2025: A truly delightful experience, from the setting and the warm welcome to the delicious food – excellent value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly, and they gave my little dog an exceptional welcome. Being from the area, I hadn't been before, but now I'm definitely going back. Thank you so much.

11/07/2026: Type 1 fun. The steak didn’t last long and neither did my clothes. The waiter recommended great wine and food followed by an array of aperitifs. My favourite was bright green and described as ‘gasoline’. There’s a wall of fame if you give it enough large ones post dinner they’ll get you up there. Italian chef was superb also.

02/08/2026: After several visits, this restaurant has confirmed its status as utterly terrible. Their croques are nothing more than open-faced sandwiches topped with an undercooked slice of bread, which then reappears uncooked even after being asked and sent back to the kitchen. There's no consistency between the menu, which advertises fries and a side dish, and the fact that the salad is charged extra at checkout. One should always be wary of restaurants with a menu boasting 12 pizzas, 12 burgers, and numerous other dishes. It's a shame because the staff is friendly and attentive. A year ago, the menu was concise, the dishes generous and of good quality, but all that is gone... thankfully, the view remains. Absolutely avoid this place.

31/07/2026: A fantastic spot on Boulevard des Pyrénées! We had a wonderful time! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the setting is simply magnificent with its stunning view of the Pyrenees. The food is truly excellent, and the portions are generous. Special mention goes to the foie gras; they serve enormous blocks of superb quality—the taste is unmistakable! And it's consistent with the rest of the menu. Frankly, for such a location with this view and this level of quantity/quality, the prices are very reasonable.

05/07/2026: Primarily dedicated to takeaway, it also has a few tables! Calm, pleasant, fresh, good pizzas, ideal for a relaxed and unpretentious meal!

05/06/2026: At reception, they offer you a drink (we had a simple glass of water with a little syrup) which is charged for! At dinner, the waitress didn't know what the daily special was! In the end, the lasagna on the menu was reheated and probably not fresh. Breakfast was rather basic. For pilgrims, this place is not recommended given the price/quality ratio.

12/05/2026: If you're familiar with the Louis de Funès film "L'Aile ou la Cuisse" (The Wing or the Thigh), and especially the line "Where are the toilets?", to which the innkeeper replies, "Follow the flies," you'll feel right at home. The rooms are outdated and nothing like the ones on the website; you can hear the neighbor using the toilet. The meal was completely ordinary, with nothing Basque about it. This was the worst accommodation I've had in 10 days of walking the Camino de Santiago, and at €150 for a room with half-board, it's nowhere near the standard of a Logis hotel. I gave my opinion after paying, and the person's response was, "I'll pass it on"... eloquent indeed!

20/03/2026: Excellent value for money, quiet location. Good and plentiful breakfast. Easy to find, its location south of Bayonne allows you to head towards Spain without being held up by morning traffic!

15/03/2026: Overall, I had a good stay. The room was generally pleasant. A minor point for improvement: the shower head could be checked, and adding a shower curtain would be helpful to prevent splashes in the bathroom. Thank you to Lola for her warm welcome and understanding at reception.
