16/03/2026: Thank you to the "Monday Manons" for always giving us such a warm welcome! A couple of friends and I come regularly after a movie and always enjoy getting together for mussels and fries, feeling right at home!

09/12/2025: Good evening. We went there this Saturday. The atmosphere was just okay. Unfortunately, the restaurant has lost its charm with the new decor, which is certainly modern but has no connection to Leon's origins (beaches, Belgium, the name of all the mussel dishes). The aprons on each server used to give a nice, local touch from the north. Before, we had a wide selection of mussels (more than ten) and waffles too. Now there are only four or five mussel dishes, no more seafood, and a few other dishes, but nothing special. The casserole size has been reduced, as has the portion of fries. And the beer selection is limited to three amber beers. The famous Leon waffle/Grandpa Leon waffle is no longer available, even though we came specifically for it. The waitress was pleasant, but nothing more. I think the new designers are trying to appeal to a younger clientele (I'm one of them, but they've missed the mark) with a rather bland atmosphere. The Hawaiian/beach theme has nothing to do with what was presented before... it could have been improved, but we were disappointed; there were other ideas they could have used. So, we've been coming for years, but frankly, we won't be back because we're disappointed with the choice.

11/01/2026: A truly exceptional dinner: a magical sea bass tartare, monkfish with excellent jus, and a wonderful cheese platter ❤️. Pure bliss, a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The outstanding service, from both the owner and the waitress, added the perfect finishing touch to this divine meal. Highly recommended.

24/02/2026: Warm welcome. The children's menu is expensive for small portions. The children's dessert crepe makes up for it, as its thickness fills the stomach until evening and requires several glasses of water to wash it down. No drinks are included in the children's menu. As for the adults, half of the mussel pot consisted of empty shells. I informed the waiter, who replied, "It's beyond our control..." The initial dessert on the menu (one profiterole) was out of stock, so when dessert arrived, we were given a small glass of chopped pineapple. On the plus side, the products seemed fresh. In short, a tourist trap restaurant because it's on the port. A shame, because at this time of year it's the locals who come; there's little chance I'll be recommending them.

22/02/2026: I visited the restaurant for their moules frites all-you-can-eat. For the price of 22 euros, the cost benefit ratio is truly phenomenal. You have 5 or 6 options of sauces to choose from; i tested 3 of them (mariniere, creme and lard) and can confirm they are good. If your thing is eating a lot of moules, i'd definitely recommend! Fun fact, the record of rounds of moules is 15, so you're free to try beating it! The staff is also super friendly, they speak good english!

09/02/2026: I recommend this restaurant because the customer is always warmly welcomed with a smile 😃. The food is very good. I'm not usually a fish eater, but La Criée restaurant changed my mind. I'm a big meat eater, especially when it comes to good quality meat, like the fish and other dishes served here. And the staff is very friendly. One small thing: they use cloth napkins, which is rare these days. Thank you to the whole team.

19/03/2026: I came yesterday at lunchtime to enjoy this magnificent setting on the terrace and everything was perfect, both the food and the service.

11/11/2025: Restaurant with a magnificent view of Pors Ar Vag beach… The menu is a bit pricey for what's offered, and the food is rather bland, lacking in "oomph"…. I'll try it again someday so as not to leave with a bad memory.

01/03/2026: Hello, we had a very pleasant evening at Léon Chenôve for our association's annual dinner. We were served by Lilou, who was very efficient despite our table of 20 people. She was pleasant, smiling, energetic, and very attentive. The meal was delicious and plentiful.
