01/03/2026: Dinner at the restaurant in the evening, seats very close together. Our opinion of the meal is very mixed. The seafood platter was acceptable. The main courses: the scallops were borderline and could have been frozen, given their size (4 scallops, but they were no more than 2). The seafood sauerkraut was very dry (probably reheated for too long under a chafing dish). The dessert: the profiteroles were a complete disaster (frozen, industrially produced choux pastries, waterlogged and undercooked, with transparent vanilla ice cream). In short, don't rely on the rating given, because this restaurant was really not worth it. We do not recommend it.

27/02/2026: No room, but we've been regulars at Le Querrien for four years, and unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly. A quick dusting to remove the thick layer on the oars and the hanging cobwebs wouldn't go amiss. The service was okay, although it's not the same standard as before. As for the food, the fish and chips was just cheap, breaded fish, the beurre blanc sauce wasn't thickened, and the vegetables were probably frozen. It's a shame because it's a very nice establishment that deserves to return to the level it was at two years ago.

01/03/2026: Everything was great. The seafood stew at €30 was generous and similar to bouillabaisse, but much cheaper. The desserts were a bit of a letdown, which is why it doesn't get a fifth star. If you're lucky enough to get a window seat, the view is truly fantastic. The service was attentive. Thank you!

25/02/2026: We had a great time with a fantastic, friendly waiter away from the crowds. Nice, home-style dishes. Excellent espresso.

01/03/2026: We came as a group of two adults and a teenager on a Sunday at lunchtime. The service was average; the waitress was pleasant but lacked attentiveness (we had to ask for bread, request drinks when our main courses arrived, the wait was a bit long, and she didn't ask during the meal if we were alright). We shared an andouillette sausage, which was good, and the teenager had a Retz burger. The burger was truly awful: huge chunks of uncooked onion, and the tomato/basil sauce was completely incompatible with the Curé Nantais cheese. In short, it was bad and we left it on the plate. We reported it, but received no compensation, which is understandable since no one had mentioned it before! So, we must have bad taste... But the real joke came when it came time to pay the bill. It was difficult to split the bill in half, so I had to use two credit cards because of a calculation error. And we could do without the bartender's comments about "doing his best": sorry, but from a business perspective, the least he could have done was apologize for the poor quality and maybe even offer a discount on the bill! Anyway, living nearby, we won't be back! What a shame!

25/02/2026: A great lunch with friends, a competent team, an affordable set menu: starter, main course, dessert for under €20!!! When I see some people giving it one star and these same people giving Burger King 5 stars, homemade, quality food takes time; it's not fast food, it's a RESTAURANT!!!

28/02/2026: I was supposed to be celebrating something that day. I went there with my friend at noon. The staff didn't speak a word of French... None of what we wanted was on the menu. No salmon, no langoustines, no fish at all. Beforehand, I had checked my own menu: the prices didn't match what was displayed in the restaurant. For example, they ordered four gratinated oysters, but there they only served three. We had to ask for one more. The mussels were frozen and barely edible. They were also so small we wondered where we'd get them. Again, the waiter lied, saying before we ordered that they would be enormous! My friend ordered a scallop carpaccio. There was one scallop, so small I thought it was just a garnish. To make up for it, they offered me a glass of wine (but not my friend). However, the bill was ENORMOUS. Over €165... And to think I'd been before and the first visit was great.

21/03/2026: We went to this restaurant today as a family of seven. The place was not full, but we were told to wait for an hour. We kindly offered a simple solution by splitting into two tables (3 and 4 people), yet the manager responded in an extremely rude and dismissive way. Instead of trying to help, his attitude made us feel like we were being pushed out simply because of our group size. This was very disappointing, especially as a family with children. A restaurant should be welcoming and flexible, but unfortunately, this was the opposite. I would not recommend this place to families or tourists looking for a pleasant dining experience.
