26/07/2026: Inn located on the ascent to the Petit Ballon. The service is incredibly friendly, and the dishes feature local cheeses. The prices are more than reasonable, and the portions are generous. Thank you for the meal after a long day of hiking.

26/05/2026: A charming farmhouse in a stunning location with views of the Grand Ballon. A wonderful refuge from the scorching heat in the valley! Excellent, rustic Alsatian cuisine! It was delicious – we'll definitely be back!

23/06/2026: Stopped by for some pastries. Small bakery with very good and original pastries. The almond and chocolate-banana filled breads are fantastic.

09/12/2025: I come to this inn regularly and I particularly enjoy it. The owners work together as a family, which is very pleasant. Everything is done to make you feel comfortable in this unique place; the service is quick and cheerful, and the owner makes a point of visiting the dining room to get our feedback. All these reasons led me to choose this place to celebrate my 60th birthday. Everything was perfectly organized, and the atmosphere was wonderful. 11/11/2025: A wonderful discovery! I'm so glad I ate at this beautiful restaurant with its fantastic setting. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and it's family-run—the dad in the kitchen, the mom and young son in the dining room, and they're all very welcoming. Absolutely fantastic! 22/05/2026: Nice place, open late, they make good mojitos. It's on the pedestrian street, really nice, worth a visit. Well, a few years later, I've changed my mind. There's been violence outside the bar several times, but this time I was filming when one of the bouncers actually hit me. He had just hit a friend, which is why I filmed. And, as a little joke, he added, "We don't allow you in anymore." I'm not pressing charges because I really like Philippe, but I strongly advise many people against going there.

04/07/2026: The best kebab in the entire Grand Est region, and I mean it. The homemade bread is incredible. The meat is nice and juicy. And I know some meat that's like shoe leather, but at Ugüt, the meat is amazing. The white sauce tastes good and doesn't have that unpleasant lemon-lime flavor. The dining area isn't very fancy, and neither are the restrooms. The service is average, no smiles, and I even heard an insult in Turkish on the phone. The kebab itself is still the best, so I HIGHLY recommend this place for kebabs 😎

04/06/2026: Great value for money, both cheap and delicious. I highly recommend the main ingredient, the pickled cabbage; it's really good. No reservation needed, just go at 6:30 and you're good to go.

The dishes were perfect, both in quality and quantity, and the portions were generous! The service was friendly and very professional, and there was no wait for our food despite the restaurant being full. A real success. Thank you and congratulations to the owner, Francesco, and his entire team, who demonstrate real cohesion and dedication to their customers – something that is becoming rare and is a pleasure to see. We will return with great pleasure, and I highly recommend this establishment.

27/07/2026: Discovered by chance on a bike ride. Only had refreshments and ice cream, but the place is very pleasant, calm, and relaxing. Quick service and easy parking.

21/07/2026: A very pleasant restaurant just outside Colmar, with beautiful regional decor and two dining rooms. The welcome was very friendly, as was the service. The dishes offered are typical of the region, including game. The portions are generous and the food is delicious, including the homemade tarts. A great place to discover! 👍

13/09/2026: Never order tarte flambée at James'On. We ordered two tarte flambées, which cost €12.50 each, only to receive small frozen ones from Picard, priced at €2.99 for the pair. I doubt the grated cheese added on top and the labor justify the (25 - 2.99) / 25 = 88% markup.

26/09/2026: A cocktail for 9.90, practically alcohol-free (but good in my opinion...), arrived at the same time as the undercooked pizza. The service was adequate. A shame...

13/09/2026: Self-service kitchen, very varied and fresh. Lobster (steamed or wok-fried), good selection of seafood, snails, frog legs... something to please everyone. The decor is a bit too bright. The staff's attire could be improved!

09/09/2026: Unacceptable and Inadmissible Experience – Must Be Closed Immediately Having come to this establishment for lunch today with our residents, we should have listened to our instincts and turned right around as soon as we walked in the door. This visit turned out to be a real disappointment, bordering on a public health scandal. From the moment we sat down, the tone was set: questionable cleanliness, dirty plates, sticky chairs, and staff whose behavior was, to say the least, inappropriate, even malicious. Seeing an employee walking around the dining room with visibly soiled clothes is simply unacceptable and demonstrates a total disregard for the most basic hygiene rules. And I won't even mention the robot moving between the tables covered in dirt and other debris—yuck! A visit from the health department (DDPP) is definitely in order. As for the food, calling it a "restaurant" is a gross exaggeration, as most of the spring rolls and other items on offer were inedible, rubbery, hard, and completely dried out—a sign of extremely questionable storage conditions, in my humble opinion. What a shame to have chosen such an establishment! Between the inedible food, the deplorable hygiene, and the unacceptable behavior of the staff, this place should be avoided at all costs.
