22/05/2026: Nice place, open late, they make good mojitos. It's on the pedestrian street, really nice, worth a visit. Well, a few years later, I've changed my mind. There's been violence outside the bar several times, but this time I was filming when one of the bouncers actually hit me. He had just hit a friend, which is why I filmed. And, as a little joke, he added, "We don't allow you in anymore." I'm not pressing charges because I really like Philippe, but I strongly advise many people against going there.

04/07/2026: The best kebab in the entire Grand Est region, and I mean it. The homemade bread is incredible. The meat is nice and juicy. And I know some meat that's like shoe leather, but at Ugüt, the meat is amazing. The white sauce tastes good and doesn't have that unpleasant lemon-lime flavor. The dining area isn't very fancy, and neither are the restrooms. The service is average, no smiles, and I even heard an insult in Turkish on the phone. The kebab itself is still the best, so I HIGHLY recommend this place for kebabs 😎

06/08/2026: Don't be fooled by the setting... Lunch was barely acceptable. We ordered three set menus, served in a cafeteria-style manner. The pasta seemed to be the cheapest colored fusilli, and the sliced ​​turkey... well, it looked like it had been boiled. As for the sauce... no comment. I ordered a rare flank steak, and it arrived far too overcooked. The desserts also seemed mass-produced. The only "positive" point was the gesture of goodwill: after complaining, they offered us three free coffees. In conclusion, despite the pleasant setting, the quality of the food is truly lacking. Avoid this place.

12/07/2026: We had the worst experience here ever!! - Completely raw and bloody steaks - Brandt Cordon Bleu - Partially raw potatoes - Wet soft mushrooms and old vegetables - Completely warm white wine - Crying baby in the front kitchen - Barking dog and traffic noise I would not recommend the place to anyone. We all fear an upset stomach

18/06/2026: We dined here this evening and were delighted with both the food and the entire team. The marrow bones I had as an appetizer were excellent. The salad with shrimp and scallops was equally superb. The kidneys were also very good and, as they should be, beautifully pink inside. The Ile Flotante for dessert was also excellent. We'll be back. Update June 18, 2026 Everything was excellent again today, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

20/07/2026: The service was disastrous. Either you take the phone and put the customer on hold, or you hang up and deal with them. She finally decided to do both, so naturally she asked me to repeat my order three times… I wasn't planning on having lunch here because a year ago the same nonchalant waitress burned the pizza I ordered. Unfortunately, they offered me a second chance, and I decided to give it another go. The result: an entire afternoon spent in the bathroom, and excruciating abdominal pain. Then I remembered all those damn flies landing on the pastries… I think we should call Philippe; it would be a great first episode for a bakery nightmare.

18/07/2026: Excellent homemade Liège coffee. The furniture is a bit dated, but the welcome and service are pleasant and impeccable.

01/07/2026: Unpleasant welcome and basic lack of respect. I entered this establishment with the clear intention of ordering food and drinks, but before even placing my order, I simply asked to use the restroom. I was curtly told that access was denied. I understand that a restaurant might restrict restroom access for non-customers, but I was a customer about to order, not just a passerby. This refusal put me in an embarrassing situation and immediately gave me a very bad impression of the establishment. Faced with this lack of consideration, I preferred to leave without ordering anything. It's a shame, because the establishment seemed promising. But a service that doesn't respect its potential customers from the very first moment doesn't deserve a second chance. I do not recommend it.

10/08/2026: We were looking for authentic Alsatian tarte flambée, and we found it here. It was incredibly delicious, and for me, it was like stepping into a slice of Alsace. The service and staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to please every guest. We sat outside and could enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We had special requests for our drinks, and these were fulfilled without hesitation. The prices were reasonable and absolutely justified by the quality. We'll definitely be back!

08/03/2026: Absolutely revolting experience. (March 8, 2026; 3:30 PM) While I was in the restroom, a tattooed employee literally forced the door open to physically remove me. This is a blatant violation of privacy and a complete lack of professionalism. I have never seen an establishment treat its customers with such contempt and aggression. If you value your safety and dignity, avoid this place. Apparently, management allows its staff to act like lawless bouncers, even in the most private areas. A total disgrace to the neighborhood. ABSOLUTELY AVOID.

03/01/2026: The staff are pleasant, but the cocktails are mediocre. The cocktail menu is very extensive, but the basics are missing.

16/08/2026: I think recent reviews are rather unfair and glad I didn't base my decision to dine here on them. We've just had a really lovely lunch, good service (yes it appears only one waitress but she is very competent!), excellent local dishes and wine. The terrace is shaded and a perfect spot for an afternoon meal. Can't fault it at all actually.

10/08/2026: The reservation was taken, but when we arrived they discovered it, the glasses were all very dirty, and there was a colony of flies in the room…

09/12/2025: I come to this inn regularly and I particularly enjoy it. The owners work together as a family, which is very pleasant. Everything is done to make you feel comfortable in this unique place; the service is quick and cheerful, and the owner makes a point of visiting the dining room to get our feedback. All these reasons led me to choose this place to celebrate my 60th birthday. Everything was perfectly organized, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and it's family-run—the dad in the kitchen, the mom and young son in the dining room, and they're all very welcoming. Absolutely fantastic!
