25/04/2026: Hello, I strongly advise against this restaurant on all counts. I arrived at 9:30 PM for a meal on a Saturday (which, according to Google, closes at midnight). The welcome was icy; they seated us near the restrooms even though the entire dining room was available. The waitress told us to order very quickly because they were about to leave (great for waiters!). The head waiter, a tall man, was the worst waiter I've ever seen in my life—sorry, but he should find another line of work… Anyway, the cocktails were rushed, and our order arrived five minutes later… so we didn't order dessert because we were bothering them… Moral of the story: don't come here, or completely change your staff (and change your hours, because being open until midnight when they say they close at 10 PM is pushing it).

02/02/2026: A small restaurant where it's best to book ahead...because the food is excellent and the service is top-notch. For €17.50, you'll have a delicious meal. I had eggs in a creamy sauce, which were perfect, and pork shoulder with fries and carrots (note that here too, the cooking is expertly done). And to top it all off...all-you-can-eat crêpes! Made right in front of you. In short, a fantastic place.

05/04/2026: We spent one night in this charming family-run hotel. The bedding was perfect. The welcome was very pleasant and the location is excellent.

15/04/2026: Lovely location on the edge of Tours, where we spent three happy nights on a half board option. This worked well for us - being out and about all day & then to return to base to chill. We had a lovely room in which we were very comfortable with our dog too. So relieved to know that our companion could accompany us when dining. Food on site was very varied, but of good quality, some may find portions a tad small, but it was well presented and accompanied with homemade bread! Breakfasts were all what we have come to know well as a french breakfast. Croissants & Pain au Chocolate were good quality and the fresh orange juice very welcomed too. There was a huge wine lists with some very ‘interesting’ wines! Whilst more modest wines were to be found in amongst the Whites. We were intent on trying the local wines too. Staff were all very attentive and accommodating & we would certainly love to return.

22/04/2026: Tested today Warm welcome with a smile Fast service And what can I say? Fresh bread for burgers and kebabs, generous portions, homemade fries.

12/04/2026: A delightful discovery. Delicious dishes from appetizer to dessert. Set menu (starter/main/dessert) for €30 (excluding drinks) with a good selection. Pleasant decor. Service provided by a very pleasant young woman. Good value for money.

08/04/2026: The food is okay, a bit pricey for what it is, but still good even with a wide selection. The problem is that half the self-service kiosks aren't working, and on the ones that do, it's impossible to print a receipt, and on one, you can't pay by card. Fortunately, the staff are responsive and answer requests for receipts. The wait isn't long either.

07/04/2026: Waiting almost an hour for two cold waffles. Many people arrived after us and were served much earlier, and the waitress didn't seem to be in any hurry at all… Go there if you have time to waste and your palate isn't too refined.

11/04/2026: Great restaurant, fantastic service. The decor is really nice and, importantly, the food is top-notch! I ordered a filet mignon with zucchini, pepper, and curry sauce, served with fries – excellent!

06/04/2026: This restaurant is ideally located on the square opposite the castle, in a very pleasant, quiet setting with no car traffic: perfect for enjoying the terrace with tables that aren't too close together. The service is welcoming, efficient, and quick. Special mention goes to the pizzas, which are delicious: generously topped with a flavorful crust. The shrimp pasta is also good, but the portions are rather small—a dish best suited for a light meal. The same goes for the beef dish, which would benefit from a larger portion of new potatoes. The value for money is excellent; dishes are between €15 and €20, and drinks are €4 for soft drinks and more for alcoholic beverages, but that's to be expected.

08/03/2026: Good value for money. Only one downside: the person who took our payment (the one who cooks? In any case, not the one who served us) wasn't very friendly. Of course, I told her we were giving up on coffee, that we'd waited 20 minutes without it arriving, even though the restaurant was far from crowded. There was only one person in the dining room, and one in the kitchen/dining area, apparently, but I imagine that's enough for about fifteen customers. Sorry we didn't wait any longer, but we have better things to do than wait for coffee, and no "excuse us" either from this person who, to top it off, frowned because my card didn't work the first time (I took it out too soon, it's my fault, but not a big deal). I'm therefore a bit disappointed by this attitude; it doesn't make me want to return to this restaurant, even though the galettes are quite good. The service was slow, but the waitress was practically alone for about fifteen diners.

10/12/2025: I had a pleasant stay. The staff was excellent. The restaurant service was quick and the food was good value for money. As for the room, it was perfectly adequate, just what you'd expect when staying in a hotel. I recommend it for a stopover in the Loire Valley!
