29/04/2026: Absolutely fantastic. A superb restaurant that you absolutely must try. A wonderful welcome and excellent cuisine with flavorful dishes, all accompanied by a very good wine that the owner recommended, which we ordered even though it wasn't usually our favorite, but it turned out to be exceptional. Excellent value for money, especially for the set menu. It's a shame we live so far away, otherwise we would have made it our regular spot. Thank you for your delicious food and generous hospitality.

14/04/2026: I was blown away by the speed of service and the value for money! While waiting for my connecting flight (36 minutes flat!), I was thinking of just having a beer, but when they told me a dish could be brought out express, I was persuaded. The daily special was excellent. Thanks to Anas for the warm welcome and good cheer!

25/05/2026: Friendly welcome and clean bedding. However: the room was outdated, the floorboards creaked, the walls were very thin resulting in a lot of noise in the morning, the bathroom was poorly maintained, there was no shower curtain, the hot water was difficult to regulate, and the storage was unstable. In short, it was acceptable for one night, but the price is clearly excessive for the services offered.

25/02/2026: A roadside diner-style restaurant at the entrance to Chinon. The decor is rather old-fashioned, but it has its charm. Quick and efficient service for a hearty and generous cuisine.

27/10/2025: A simple, family-run restaurant, just the way we like it! The welcome is warm. The menu is simple. The dishes are generous. Homemade, delicious. Starter/main course/dessert and a drink. A treat for everyone, while staying reasonable. Visited with family: 2 adults and 3 children.

07/10/2025: We are Canadians cycling the Loire for two weeks. This restaurant was a big surprise from most of the places we have eaten at for lunch. There is a chef putting the menu together. It was creative and delicious. The owner spoke good English and had a good sense of home. Thank you.

09/02/2026: The pastries are as good as the service is unpleasant! It's a shame we would have liked to try the chocolates, but we were told to pay for our order and leave immediately, even though the bakery was empty during opening hours 🤷🏼‍♀️ Such a business remains a mystery to me: two visits, two cold, not to say glacial, receptions... Good luck for the future

23/04/2026: I've rarely been so surprised, but these were all positive surprises! Tucked away on a quiet little street with little traffic, the place is peaceful. The servers are really friendly, the dishes and desserts were absolutely delicious, and the terrace is sunny. Go there, I highly recommend it (I'm not being paid, I just loved it).

15/06/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant during another visit with our grandchildren. We enjoyed the warm welcome, the pizzas, and the pasta so much that we wanted to return. It was just as good and delicious as ever. Thank you for this lovely, convivial experience at your restaurant, located a stone's throw from the castle and Leonardo da Vinci's Clos Lucé. 14/06/2026: I'm a regular here because I've been coming for several years: everything was perfect! The pizzas were excellent, the service was quick and very friendly!

17/05/2026: The food was okay, but nothing special, the prices were very high, and the desserts were definitely frozen (at €9.50, that's pushing it). The welcome was inconsistent depending on the customer (some were offered to "take your coat," while others weren't). Furthermore, the service was rather poor: the waiter didn't clear the cutlery between the starter and main course, there was no interaction, and again, the prices were very high for a set menu with few choices and no flexibility whatsoever. I do not recommend this restaurant.

24/05/2026: Family owed business. Fantastic food. Everything was perfect. The service was superb, friendly and attentive. The place is small but cosy. The kitchen is tiny, but they manage to deliver great food! Thank you for a great night in Tours.

24/05/2026: One of my favorite spots on Rue Colbert! The mezze platters for sharing are a gem 🤌🏻 The kefta sandwich is also a big fan. And the service is fantastic. The service can take a little while for the mezze platters for four people, but it's definitely worth the wait!

17/05/2026: Excellent value for money. Very good breakfast, the cheese platter is a nice touch. A slight scare upon arrival due to no one being there to greet us, but everything was quickly sorted out.

12/05/2026: We had booked 6 months in advance with a box, the hotel was full but the owner had thought of everything and relocated us to a gîte, a real haven of peace, very beautiful setting, nothing to see, pleasant owner and the staff of the hotel du faisan very welcoming.
