14/06/2026: Losing its edge. The food is still very good. However, the welcome, service, hygiene, and atmosphere have all declined. It's a shame, as it used to be a great place to eat well, quickly, and cheaply.

07/05/2026: One star because we can't give less. We were big fans of this restaurant a few years ago. Huge disappointment. The service isn't the same anymore. The hot towel they used to provide is gone, the chopsticks are disposable, the drinks are overpriced even though they're just 2-liter bottles of soda with no flavor, and the maki rolls are so full of rice that you risk choking with every bite. We were charged an extra €8 for three measly, unfinished maki rolls (which were actually just rice balls) and half a spring roll.

14/06/2026: I went there with a friend and frankly, it was HORRIBLE!! We didn't even have to wait an hour for our sushi platter, even though there was no one else there. The place is gloomy and poorly cleaned, the tables were sticky, and in the basement, although there are tables for lunch or dinner, you're just inches from the kitchen and the refrigerators. What's more, the refrigerator in the basement had frozen spring rolls and frozen sushi. As for the food, it was awful, and I got indigestion that same evening. Avoid it!!

10/12/2025: It's true that the managers haven't managed to make this place appealing. But that doesn't really concern me because I've always done takeout. For that, it does the job. The products are fresh and the prices haven't gone up in years.

19/05/2026: Large room with enough space to move around. The food is good for an all-you-can-eat buffet; there's a good selection. Weekday prices are the same as weekend prices. One drink is included. However, the service is poor; no smiles, unpleasant, and you feel like you're bothering them when you ask for something. Only the young man at the bar was friendly.

12/05/2026: A disaster! We went on a Sunday evening (2 adults and 4 children). €93 (€23 per adult and €12 per child). The food was awful, the staff were either unpleasant or nonexistent, the clientele was disrespectful, and the toilets were like something you'd find in a train station or motorway service area.

21/05/2026: We come here at least once a month and often with our child. An old restaurant (I was a young child when it opened!!), which has a nice Japanese decor with cheesy music. It is on a side street too so on warmer days they open the windows which is nice. The sushi is very good, their brochettes are excellent, and surprisingly their ramen (which isn't really their speciality) is delicious and not expensive (take in mind the place has multiple ramen places surrounding it). I read about the cold service here, for me it's the charm, there is a very friendly person who cuts the fish when you come in, an older man who doesn't smile nor speak much who serves you (I saw him smile once, I did!), a lady who is extremely friendly but isn't there often, and the owner who is very nice and tolerant also with our child who can run wild sometimes after eating. My single gripe is it can be pricey for some things you order. This is our go to place for sushi, Roquette has so much choice for Asian cuisine, this place is one of the first and still one of the best.

09/05/2026: I've never seen anything like it. I placed my order by phone, arrived an hour later, and my order still wasn't ready. They told me I'd have to wait another 30 minutes. You shouldn't take orders if you can't fulfill them. Many people there were annoyed and cancelled their orders because of the wait.

30/04/2026: The food is very good, but the wait is endless, even when you order an hour in advance. It's tiresome...

24/03/2026: It's a real shame. I went last week for takeout. I specifically asked at least three times not to have wasabi because I can't stand very spicy food. The young woman confirmed there wouldn't be any. As a result, there was wasabi in it—this is the second time this has happened! Honestly, it's not very considerate of people with intolerances. And the young woman taking my order spoke so fast that we didn't have time to choose our meal.

15/02/2026: The restaurant's facade is unfortunately very damaged and covered in graffiti that has never been cleaned off. This gives an uninviting first impression and doesn't inspire confidence. It's a shame, because the exterior plays a significant role in the desire to enter.

04/07/2026: The food is okay. However, it's perhaps unnecessary to offer breaded chicken if the breading is soggy and clearly undercooked. The restaurant isn't clean; there's no water in the restrooms, and the staff doesn't bother to mention it, even though we asked where they were just a minute before. The service is also quite disastrous. I would recommend ordering cold takeout.

27/04/2026: Amazing experience at Sushi Wako! Honestly, it was delicious from start to finish. The owner is lovely and very welcoming, and the gentleman is also really kind—you immediately feel at ease. The service is incredibly fast; we were served in under 10 minutes, which is quite impressive considering the quality of the food. I ordered a noodle dish with an incredibly generous portion, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on, perfectly seasoned, nothing to complain about. I also tried the beef and cheese skewers, and again, a real treat. I highly recommend it, and I'll definitely be back! 🍜🍢

05/04/2026: Absolutely no hygiene, from the service to the taste. The waitress dropped beef and cheese skewers in front of my colleagues, and I picked them up and put them back on the plate right in front of us. She mentioned there were special offers, but when it came time to pay, they were nowhere to be found. Go ahead and try it if you want a sick note.

08/07/2026: I should have read the reviews before stopping… The sushi was tasteless and didn't seem fresh; my wasabi even looked expired. I hope I don't get sick 🤞🏻

03/04/2026: I go back frequently; compared to others, it's clearly the one with the best quality products. The salmon isn't cut from salmon steaks, for example! Ultimately, the value for money is more than reasonable. Knowing that it's a restaurant open during office hours, it can get expensive on a daily basis... The lunch menus, however, are affordable. June 2024: My opinion remains unchanged. I think there's nothing better in the area for this type of cuisine. I'd also like to mention the staff, who are very helpful and always attentive. March 2026: Over all these years, I've eaten here regularly, I've never been disappointed, quite the opposite, I've always found the dishes to be of high quality. My visits are becoming less and less frequent as I'm in the area less and less, but the service is still just as attentive.

27/06/2026: Very expensive! The gyoza was overcooked. An unfriendly waiter, when I pointed out that the skewer that had just been served was cold, immediately replied, "Well, I'll burn it for you!" I appreciate humor, but this wasn't it! A word to the wise...

19/04/2026: Very high prices, mediocre quality, minimal service; I regret eating at this restaurant. Given the prices, I thought it must be a real Japanese restaurant, but not at all; I was ripped off.

21/06/2026: We went for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly, we were served quickly, and on top of that, the food was delicious.

22/05/2026: I ordered delivery and takeout. I found the service excellent, the food even better with a good selection, and the prices affordable! Update May 2024: We found a dead cockroach's blood on a Tupperware container. Avoid this place at all costs; I'm disgusted.

31/01/2026: A clear decline in quality and service. I used to really enjoy this restaurant, and in addition to the quality of the food not always being up to par anymore, during my last visit a while ago, the person who served and took our payment made a comment about the weight of the people present, asking if we were going to the gym afterward? A strange way to attract customers…

20/01/2026: I go there very regularly, the manager is super friendly, the California rolls are good, the decor of the place is great, nothing to complain about! And the prices are reasonable!
