25/01/2026: Good and affordable food, very friendly staff, and welcoming owners. The tarte flambée, crème brûlée, and cakes are unbeatable. Everything else is really great too. The adjoining campsite is quite basic, but fantastic. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and clean. Everything is just right. Camping as it should be. I always enjoy coming back. The terrace, interior, and toilets have been beautifully renovated.

I asked for sugar on the bread. She poured three drops (I've attached a photo). I pointed it out to her, but she replied, "Do you want your receipt?" It was a lovely way of saying, "Stop bothering me, goodbye." Disappointed, I won't be going back.

11/12/2025: Upon arrival, we weren't even greeted. The only thing they rushed to say was, "We're full." Even though the restaurant was practically half empty. Perhaps we arrived too late (1:05 ​​PM), but in that case, they might as well have told us we weren't welcome because of the time. This is the behavior of a restaurant that doesn't need new customers. Disappointing.

22/03/2026: To celebrate the birth of my nephew, we ordered five couscous dishes from La Couscoussière, a restaurant renowned for its cuisine. While the dishes were indeed very good, that wasn't enough to make up for everything else… We paid for five couscous dishes, but only received four complete ones. After checking (including the meat), the fifth one was simply missing its portion… At €20–25 per dish, that's frankly unacceptable. We had also paid extra for semolina. When we called, the person on the phone was dismissive and condescending, simply stating that the cook had "generously" added more semolina… which we had already paid for, so thank you? But that's normal. Absolutely no customer service, no willingness to learn, and above all, no attempt at compensation. Furthermore, six pastries to take away were charged at €22.50, on top of the €125 already spent… again, no effort whatsoever, not even a token one. The promised invoice, sent after our call, was never delivered. It was therefore impossible to verify exactly what we were charged… Ultimately, the food was very good, but the customer service was deplorable… Mistakes can happen, but ignoring them with such blatant disregard is unacceptable. We will not be returning, nor will we recommend this establishment.

21/11/2025: Very friendly staff! A beautiful green setting with hiking trails starting nearby. Homemade meals. Lovely setting: an old mill with a preserved waterwheel in the guest room area.

03/04/2026: What can I say! We're leaving a review just an hour after leaving. That's how impressed we were. First, the place isn't kitschy (as some other reviews suggest); it perfectly suits its name, "l'estaminet" (a term referring to the taverns, inns, and brasseries typical of Northern France, which often feature antique utensils and rustic, traditional decor). Second, the food... absolutely delicious! We shared a forest salad between the three of us, followed by tartiflette, Mont d'Or cheese, and a rump steak with cream and green peppercorn sauce. We tasted each other's dishes, and it was a resounding success. Moreover, this isn't fancy haute cuisine with just a few peas and a splash of sauce... The portions are generous, and we almost didn't have room for dessert, which in our case was a rum baba, a Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce), and a gourmet tea. In short, we ate and drank very well, and our stomachs were nice and full. Thirdly, and with special mention! The atmosphere. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the team! You are all wonderful. It was a memorable evening. And thank you to Nathalie for joining us at our table :D

28/12/2025: Good couscous. Unlimited vegetables and semolina. Chicken and merguez sausage were delicious. One small drawback: the aging paintwork could use a refresh.
