31/08/2026: Honestly, I've tried a lot of kebabs, but this one is the absolute best. I've never been disappointed in all these years! Whether it's a weekday or the weekend, it's always fantastic, always hot, generously filled, and never leaves you with a sore stomach! You can tell they care about their customers! And that's why they keep their loyal clientele! Keep up the good work! I recommend it 200,000%!

26/10/2026: The place is beautiful, perfect for a couple. The food was very good: both the pasta and the meat dish were delicious. The oysters were very delicate and of excellent quality. We didn't try the seafood, so we can't comment on it. A very pleasant experience!

30/09/2026: A nice, friendly place. The pizza was good, although the crust wasn't brown/cooked enough for my liking, but that's just me. Otherwise, no complaints.

29/09/2026: From the kitchen to the service, tonight's team deserves 5 stars. The entire team was smiling, attentive, and professional. My dish, a chicken escalope (just the way I like it, with plenty of sauce), was delicious, and the "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with coffee) truly lived up to its name. Five stars for both the warm atmosphere and the professional service. I would gladly return to this restaurant as a regular. Thank you!

23/07/2026: I am truly outraged by Ms. Carole's comments. Personally, I can't find anything like the Auberge du Coq for miles around. The value for money is a major, undeniable asset, and the chef and staff demonstrate unwavering professionalism. Of course, you have to appreciate fine dining and a family atmosphere! ... Enjoy your McDonald's, Ms. Carole, and keep feeding your cholesterol while I enjoy a healthy meal at the Auberge du Coq!

01/08/2026: Incredible homemade spring rolls, the best in Metz (at least!) Pad Thai is worth the trip, as are all the other freshly made, homemade dishes.

11/07/2026: Amazing little bar and shop for a beer that deserves to be known and recognized locally—not just globally, mind you! 😁 The owner is super friendly and always gives great advice. They have a huge selection of Bon Poison beers (yep, they brew it themselves, and right here too!)! And the more you buy, the cheaper it gets! 😉🍻 Bonus: the cans and bottles are absolutely gorgeous! 🤩🤩🤩 A truly local product that deserves to be discovered, and a shop that MUST become a must-visit! 😉 Cheers! 🍻🍻🍻

31/08/2026: The food is very good, but above all, the staff is perfect: kind and accommodating, with an energetic waiter who always has a smile and will try to make you feel comfortable no matter the weather or occasion. Keep up the good work.

31/07/2026: An excellent restaurant where the atmosphere is extraordinary and the food is delicious.

25/09/2026: We ate there with our family. The staff were all very friendly. However, the food wasn't particularly outstanding. The cordon bleu was deliciously crispy and juicy. The prices were also reasonable. The steak, on the other hand, was tough, riddled with sinew, and not really tasty. I mean, a cordon bleu isn't exactly a culinary masterpiece and should be mastered if you're going to offer it. The same goes for the steak, although I think there's much more that can go wrong. But if you want to stand out, you should know how to cook. We also ordered additional drinks at one point, which were simply forgotten. The salad for the cordon bleu and steak came in a large salad bowl, like at home. It was just a simple green salad without anything else – just green leaves. It tasted okay, but it was bland. I would have preferred a nicely presented small side salad with, for example, croutons, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. All in all, we've been there twice now and haven't been particularly impressed either time. Therefore, we tend to conclude that the food and service are not very good.

24/09/2026: It's impossible to reserve a table by phone because no one answers. We tried to reserve via their website, and the response was that the request had been received, but that an email would follow. We've been waiting for that email for two weeks. We won't be trying to get a table there again.

15/10/2026: We chose this restaurant before our trip based on reviews, and it definitely deserves its rating. Located between the Grande Place - Musée Saint-Louis and the Musée du Verre - Meisenthal, it was the perfect spot for lunch. We warmly thank them for welcoming us even though we didn't have a reservation. A word of advice to anyone passing through the area: be sure to book, as we saw the restaurant and terrace fill up within fifteen minutes! We were among the first customers, and I think that's what allowed us to stick to the schedule we had set for ourselves at home. We opted for the set menu (starter + main course + dessert), accompanied by a good coffee. Everything was delicious. We paid in cash, but I saw that they also accepted cards.
