The attentive owners serve the most succulent and hearty regional cuisine. These rediscovered flavors transport you back to the time of your grandmothers. Between sharing recipes and anecdotes, the experience is unforgettable.

06/10/2025: A very pleasant and unpretentious welcome, simply warm. A very "farmhouse inn" atmosphere, generous and tasty cuisine, remarkable wine (Syrah), a sweet note considering the service. We will definitely return on our next visit to this region.

22/07/2024: Friendly cafeteria. The meat dish (burger, skewers, chicken, ham) and the hot vegetables (fries, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.) are good. Starters and desserts are unlimited. The starters are quite varied: tabbouleh, eggs, cold meats, tomatoes... The desserts are industrial, you shouldn't expect more for a low-cost meal but you can find cakes, chocolate mousse, fruit salad, floating island … The restaurant closes permanently on July 23, and despite this I found the staff pleasant and professional. I don't understand the negative reviews that say it's poorly attended, there's no problem.

30/09/2024: Room 140 was very clean, but the bathroom sink was clogged and the TF1, M6 and BFM TV channels were not working. Generally nice people. A little disappointed for the price of the room.

07/03/2026: Reading the description of the restaurant on the website, I nearly died laughing. "Prawn salad with mandarins" as a local discovery! 😁😁 Under "local specialties," they also list risotto!! It's probably due to the movement of tectonic plates, which must have shifted and brought Italy closer to the Combrailles region... I'd also like to know which river the prawns come from and (despite global warming), where the Auvergne mandarins come from...

05/10/2024: What a wonderfull experience! We went there to try as a "recon team" for my english conversation club. Superb welcoming, very friendly. I had, or course the thai cakes, "fish & chips" and brandy snap. We also tested the mixed grill and other "entrees" and deserts. Whaaaou , from A o Z, it was an absolute thrill! Tank you to the team of "les Roches". We will be back! Expérience remarquable, je recommande ce restaurant dans reserve!

05/09/2024: Ici il y a une vraie volonté d accords.... accords entre les mets et vins , accords entre accueil et ambiance , dans un compromis parfait de produits de qualités . L'équipe sait de quoi elle parle , sans nous perdre dans une fioriture de présentations ou de paraphrases en tout genre, quand on a faim on repart du clos viino bien calé et même si la faim est moindre elle vient en grandissant dès l'arrivée du premier plat. L'établissement est une bulle de passion , où règne une volonté de rendre la qualité accessible , où l'équipe répond à vos besoins sans pousser à la surconsommation. En fait il suffit de se laisser guider et surtout de déguster. La pause déjeuner devient alors une vraie parenthèse dans le temps . C'est une table à la fois sobre mais recherchée, et c'est aussi une cave où l'on flâne en decouvrant de belles bouteilles sans mauvaises surprises qui ont été sélectionnées avec soins, preuve ici qu'on peut se faire plaisir sans se ruiner et vite revenir ! Un grand merci à Patrick et à toute son équipe.
