21/08/2026: Tried again but extremely disappointed. Honestly, the service needs improvement. The basics, ladies. First time, it was packed and there was only one waitress; the other was busy doing some so-called cleaning... And I came back this morning, market day. The three saleswomen were laughing amongst themselves at the customers. Seriously? When you own a business that caters to tourists, you RESPECT your customers. Please, change careers.

08/08/2026: Very disappointed, not by the meal... because there wasn't one. We've been several times before and everything has always gone well despite the crowds... And then this! We arrive, are seated, and wait patiently (I should point out that there weren't many people there). Other people arrive... and we're still waiting... And then the young man starts taking orders from the people who arrived after us... Not wanting to cause a scene, we left. This person clearly doesn't know how to run a restaurant.

24/07/2026: We were disappointed. We were served three croissants. I asked if they could exchange a defective croissant (see photo) for a normal one. The manager, Ms. Monier, told me a croissant is a croissant. The cleanliness was appalling. They weren't wearing gloves. Avoid this place; it's filthy. They handle the money and serve you afterward. She told me she couldn't take it back because she had touched it. The croissant was as hard as concrete. It ended up in the trash.

30/08/2026: The staff was incredibly unpleasant and they didn't even offer ice cream! A Burger King would be a better choice.

13/10/2026: It's because I can't give it less. We came for lunch today with my 5-year-old child and my partner. The result of our visit: everything was cold (table service). Furthermore, no sauces were provided for children. In addition, the fries were barely cooked, which is surprising considering the wait time for the order and the service. And to top it all off, out of three of us, all three were sick (vomiting and diarrhea). This has happened before, but we had a suspicion that was confirmed by today's visit.

01/09/2026: I went to this bakery very recently. The young woman who served me, probably new, was very kind and polite, but I was a little worried because she didn't seem very comfortable. The other times I've been there, the saleswomen weren't smiling, which doesn't make me want to go back.

29/08/2026: A serious level of incompetence today at 11 am. The waitress didn't even bother to come over to us, showed zero friendliness, and stayed glued to her phone at the counter. After we ordered, she was still glued to her TikTok, so naturally the paninis burned. We could hear her talking to her colleague, who told her to offer one of the two. She made another one, gave me one that was burnt, but I sent it back. Double waste. Absolutely terrible. We come here for something quick and easy, but a minimum level of service is still expected. It might be a seasonal contract, but we expect a minimum of professionalism.

17/10/2026: Top-notch service and atmosphere, special mention for Mat, the amazing bartender!

09/10/2026: We were given access to online presale tickets supposedly to "get in faster," we waited calmly in line, and then a bouncer decided to "kick out" my friends and me for no valid reason, even though we had paid for our tickets and were calm and respectful. When I asked for an explanation for this action and his discourteous (let's be perfectly honest, I'd even say very vulgar) remarks, the bouncer chose not to answer me and instead pushed my friends around inappropriately. We paid for a service that was ultimately not provided. We will be taking legal action, and you will never see me patronizing a place like this again.

22/02/2026: What a surprise to find ourselves back in the 1990s! Nothing has changed. Same decor, same bathroom. It's high time they brought it up to date. As for the food, it was bland. The buildings are in a deplorable state. It's a shame, but we won't be returning to the Campanile.

18/02/2026: A stay at the Campanile in Thiers followed a certain internal logic. The bathroom was marred by visible mold on the walls, grout, and behind the towels, creating a constantly damp atmosphere. While the bathroom did have heating, its switch moved freely and wasn't connected to anything, rendering any attempt to turn it on futile, even in cold weather. Overall, this demonstrates a particularly questionable level of maintenance and consideration for guest comfort. Not recommended.

16/07/2026: The opening hours are never respected; on the days it's supposed to be open, it's closed.

22/06/2026: The kebab was terrible, the meat was strange, the fries were soggy, and I had a stomach ache afterwards. Very disappointed, I don't recommend it.

12/09/2026: Cinnamon rolls are simply delicious

31/08/2026: In a charming little bakery just steps from the train station, I enjoyed a wonderfully buttery pain au chocolat. It reminded me of the bakery in my village. The bread looked delicious too, with plenty of choice. Next time, I'll be back to try their croissants.

14/09/2026: A very bad experience. I had ordered a regional specialty, and my partner had too: truffade and aligot. The truffade looked like it had been ladled out and was far too greasy and sickening. As for the aligot, the cheese they used was clearly very low quality because it was tasteless. Furthermore, both dishes arrived cold. We had to ask them to take them back. We didn't risk ordering dessert! Avoid this restaurant! You shouldn't be able to ruin regional specialties like that.

14/09/2026: We were ripped off, just like other tourists. The aligot was barely lukewarm when it was served. I sent it back to the kitchen, but it clearly wasn't appreciated. The quality of the ingredients is definitely lacking. A tourist trap! I really don't recommend it.

08/08/2026: Disgusting! I ate a chicken burger, and for the past two days I've been nauseous and very sick. I can't swallow anything anymore. Don't go there!

30/06/2026: Avoid at all costs! I ordered a chicken sandwich and they gave me a regular kebab. When I told them it wasn't chicken and that they needed to stop lying, the staff (it must have been the manager, judging by their attitude) started getting angry, saying, "If it's not chicken, what is it? Camel?" Absolutely no respect for customers!

23/09/2026: We asked the waitress where the meat came from, and she told us it was from the pharmacy next door. Her answer was really uncool.

14/09/2026: The omelet with porcini mushrooms, sautéed potatoes, and salad: meh. It wasn't really eggs, and the plate was swimming in water.

29/09/2026: Fantastic all-you-can-eat buffet! Highly recommended.

24/09/2026: This is the first time I've been disappointed by an all-you-can-eat restaurant. All the spring rolls were rubbery. If you arrive late in the evening, you get the impression they're going to close in five minutes because they've already run out of food, and the remaining items are being wrapped in cellophane. So if you want to help yourself, you have to remove everything, and judging by the looks you get, it doesn't exactly encourage you to do so. Especially since the restaurant's hours indicate closing time in over an hour, and no one mentioned upon arrival that the restaurant was closing earlier than expected. In short, we didn't feel welcome at all, and the quality of the few dishes we did manage to taste was clearly lacking. I strongly advise against going there. You're better off going somewhere else with all the other restaurants right next door.
