Several years ago, I discovered Basile and his Café Cyclette quite by chance in Lyon… and I already had an amazing memory of it. Well, I just went back a few days ago, and it's simple: it's still THE best coffee in Lyon, without a doubt! The taste is just perfect, balanced, rich, truly superior to anything else you can find. But beyond the coffee, it's the service that makes all the difference: an incredibly warm welcome, genuine passion, a sincere smile… you can tell everything is done with heart, a true Lyonnais heart! It's rare to see such consistent quality after several years. Honestly, it's a pleasure, and it deserves to be recognized! If you're ever in Lyon, don't even hesitate: go for it. You won't be disappointed.

10/07/2026: What a disappointment! I used to love Café Bul when it was warm and welcoming. Yesterday, I went back with a friend. The waiter who served us, a tall man with glasses, was incredibly rude: no smile, no eye contact, no consideration whatsoever. We clearly felt like we were bothering him. I should mention that another waiter was there, and this comment has absolutely nothing to do with him. A café can be lovely and well-located, but without a minimum of politeness and hospitality, the experience becomes quite disappointing. I'm sadly no longer recognizable as the Café Bul of the hospitality I once appreciated. A smile costs nothing, especially when you work in the hospitality industry. The food is excellent, generous, and delicious, in a bistronomic style that we particularly appreciate. But what really makes the difference for us is the welcome and the atmosphere. You feel expected, valued, and simply comfortable. The team is genuinely happy to welcome its customers, and this immediately creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
