30/04/2026: A very friendly and pleasant place. The tea room gets a bad rating because we ordered three drinks: two Schweppes citrus juices plus a half-pint of shandy, and three very good pastries offered to us on a tray by the owner. We did choose, but what shocked us afterward was that we weren't given a tea room menu to see the prices and selection. Surprise, surprise, the price, without even asking for a receipt, was €42. Well, perhaps that's fair, but ask for the menu when you go to the tea room in the afternoon to order a drink and a delicious pastry.

03/04/2026: A terrible experience. After the appetizers, we waited almost two hours for our main courses, without any clear explanation. We were mistakenly served a bottle of wine we hadn't ordered. The main courses then arrived in a rush: raw fish, overcooked meat – inedible. A second attempt was no better. Despite the waitresses' efforts, neither the kitchen nor management were able to rectify the situation. This is probably the worst restaurant experience we've ever had.

07/06/2026: One of the best places I know to pick up a package. Staff are always available and even insistent on helping me carry them to the car if they seem heavy (I'm not very young anymore), always friendly, even if the bar requires their attention, the wait is very short.

31/05/2026: I arrived at the location shortly before 8 a.m. to pick up a package. My first unpleasant surprise: although I arrived before another customer, he was served before me without any check to see who was waiting first. A little consideration and organization would have been appreciated. My second problem: after waiting, I was finally informed that I couldn't pick up my package before 9 a.m. because the scanning equipment wasn't available. I find it unacceptable that equipment essential to the operation of the pickup point isn't accessible during the advertised opening hours. I offered to find my package using the name on it, but he replied that he couldn't, he didn't know how... I was about to go get my package myself, but I understood that the tobacconist and his chauvinistic customer had ganged up on me because I'm a woman. If a man had been standing in front of them, things would have been different. The overall atmosphere of the place unfortunately doesn't give a better impression: persistent smells of cannabis on the terrace (evident even when driving past) and an unprofessional welcome. Reading other reviews, I see that several female customers also reported being poorly treated. This experience was very disappointing, and I'm astonished that such uneducated and sexist people are allowed to operate. It's no wonder I read some of the comments.

25/03/2026: Excellent value for money at this brasserie where the homemade food is delicious and the pastries are delectable. The service is pleasant and friendly. The terrace is sunny, but noisy due to its location on the boulevard. Perfect for a business lunch or when you want quick service with truly refined cuisine.

13/06/2026: We went for dinner service; the staff is super friendly, and the desserts are generous—we'll definitely be back. A special mention for the young waiter who was smiling and incredibly kind.

12/06/2026: A very disappointing experience, unfortunately. We came at the beginning of the season, on a weekday, when the beach was almost empty: about six people for around thirty available sunbeds. My friend was simply trying to get her baby to sleep on a free sunbed, located right next to ours and slightly more shaded. An employee then approached us in a particularly abrupt manner to inform us that this sunbed would be charged. That this rule exists is one thing, and we would have perfectly understood it if it had been explained to us with a modicum of kindness. We immediately apologized and were understanding. What bothered us, therefore, was not the substance of the matter, but the manner in which it was handled: a curt tone and an unnecessarily authoritarian attitude in what was, in fact, a very simple situation. The rest of the service only reinforced this negative impression. At €22, the aperitif consisted of a portion of guacamole served in a jam-like jar with a few pieces of bread and some crisps. The salmon and mango carpaccio was practically unseasoned. As for the coffee, we had to go all the way to the bar to ask for it. Beyond the prices, which everyone will judge according to their own criteria, it was above all the feeling of not being welcome that struck us. In an establishment with such an exceptional setting, one expects a welcome to match. A smile, a little tact, and consideration are sometimes worth more than any service. We left with the feeling of having been a nuisance rather than being received. It's regrettable, and for this reason, we won't be returning.

30/03/2026: We eat here very often when we're in Cavalaire. The owner is very approachable and communicative. Don't forget he's busy and can't chat for three hours. He's on his own and deserves it. He works hard. The food and prices are very reasonable. Criticism is easy. Those who are unhappy can move on, but don't ruin this business for the average French person. Keep it up, J M, don't change a thing.

21/05/2026: Unfortunately, we can't give less than one star! The service and welcome were appalling. Bagged salad, frozen fries, and JP Chenet wine that costs €1.50 in stores—they practically serve you cheap wine in a plastic bottle! The atmosphere is austere, the premises outdated. In short, I've never seen an establishment like it! However, there were no problems at all with the bill!

24/05/2026: Bad experience. We went for dinner on a Saturday evening at this restaurant located at the end of Pampelonne beach, which had been recommended to us. The welcome was good. The setting, a sort of large beach hut, is pleasant, and the view of the bay is superb. The staff was agreeable. The positives end there. Seated next to a noisy table of 14 people, including children with wet clothes covered in sand who were constantly running back and forth between their parents' table and the beach, we asked to be moved. The service was disastrous. They forgot to take our order, and there was an interminable wait, even for a carafe of water, glasses, and coffees. The bread basket was stale and taken from the next table. The dishes and cutlery were damaged. One could be more forgiving. Except when you pay a lot for decent but ultimately very basic food. To top it all off, the scallops my partner ordered were a complete disaster. While the waiters clumsily stated the obvious—"everything is disorganized tonight," "you've had it made"—they lacked the decency to apologize or offer us coffee. This restaurant aims to be simple and authentic, but it's clearly a tourist trap. For that price, we'd much rather eat at one of the neighboring restaurants, which offer a more refined setting and impeccable service.
