08/12/2025: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. The staff and cleanliness are OK, but this hotel has major flaws! All the rooms are on a single floor. Parking is very difficult. We were placed above McDonald's, so the smell of grease lingered in the room all night. There's a step in the shower itself, so there's a risk of falling. No restaurant, no lounge—this hotel is more like a train station for business travelers than a place to enjoy the Promenade des Anglais.

03/12/2025: I chose the Mercure Nice Promenade des Anglais for a business trip, hoping to get some rest and sleep in the mornings before starting my day. Unfortunately, the stay was very disappointing. Upon arrival, I couldn't get a room key card due to a malfunction. As a result, the receptionist (who was completely blameless and very professional) had to accompany me every time I entered or left the room. This completely undermined my independence, which was very uncomfortable. I was also hoping to catch up on sleep in the mornings… but I was woken up at 8 a.m. by deafening construction noise. No one had warned me about it, either when I booked or upon arrival. The soundproofing is truly terrible, adding to the discomfort. Finally, the value for money is far below what one would expect from a hotel in this category, given the quality of the room and the overall experience. In summary: between the lack of autonomy, the unreported noise and the quality of services, this hotel is simply to be avoided.

24/02/2026: The pizzas are ridiculously small. The crust is dry, bland, and the filling is tiny. You can tell they're just trying to squeeze every last penny out of each one.

18/01/2026: When my boyfriend was a kid, his family ordered there back in the 2000s. So he had good memories of this pizza place. We moved to the area last year and despite some bad reviews we ordered for pick up. We absolutely cannot understand the critical reviews. The pizza is tasty, with lots of cheese and toppings. This will definitely be our go-to delivery pizza place. Plus, the person working there was super friendly! 10/10 can recommend

19/09/2025: What happened last night, Thursday, September 18th, is unbelievable... I ordered tagliatelle with shrimp, but aside from the fact that it was linguine, this €28 dish was inedible, tasteless. The plate remained untouched, and the waiter, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, cleared my plate without a word! I suppose his behavior was due to the manager's instructions, but still, it's unacceptable. But given the numerous negative reviews, does your customers' opinion really matter to you???

14/11/2025: The owner, Katia, made my wife and I feel like absolute VIPs on our honeymoon. The table service was very attentive and it seemed that other customers were attended to very promptly attended to at the same time. 10,000% recommended and would visit again! I recommend the Nutella, pistachio and mango ice creams.

28/09/2025: Unacceptable service. I simply asked for tea, which was clearly stated on the menu, and the waitress responded in a derogatory manner, calling my request "weird." She then introduced herself as the "boss" and continued to behave arrogantly and disrespectfully toward the customer. This attitude is completely unprofessional and should have no place in the restaurant industry. This establishment deserves to be called "Bad Mood."

31/01/2026: I agree with the other comments. This establishment is clearly more interested in money than customer satisfaction. The food is very basic and predictable. The only positive point is its location, right in the city center. The professionalism of the staff is questionable, especially on the terrace, where respect for customers leaves much to be desired.

24/12/2025: One of the best places to eat in Nice. A great atmosphere, and the staff were extremely helpful despite how busy it was at the time.

08/12/2025: The tobacconist was friendly and very welcoming! Her replacement was smiling and very patient with my daughter who was struggling to count the change to buy herself a sweet 🍬

09/09/2025: Avoid because of a seller who is always in a bad mood. I have to wait to serve myself because of discussions with his neighbors, each time it's the same thing, so if it's over, I don't go to this tobacconist anymore because there is another familiar tobacconist 300 meters away.

06/03/2026: This food was absolutely terrible, expensive and awful. 37 euros for a plate of tiny mussels the size of a fingernail and some passable oysters—that would have been enough for a whole bunch at other restaurants. I chose this place because the owner was very friendly and they had a Chinese menu. And it was warmer outside. But seriously, don't come here. It's just a place to pick up passengers. The service was good, but the food was bad and expensive. Garbage, garbage! I was so angry I couldn't sleep last night. We only came here for late-night snacks. Even I thought it was bad.

02/02/2026: We came to eat there for a birthday before the change of ownership, and it was fantastic in terms of atmosphere, food, and incredibly friendly service. We returned on Saturday, January 30, 2026. The owner, chef, and servers are no longer the same, and to be completely transparent, it was a disaster! The atmosphere in the dining room was so cold we had to eat with our jackets on. The service was neither welcoming nor competent, especially the young waitress who grumbled and complained to the chef every time we asked, even though we were standing nearby. We'll chalk that up to inexperience... The portions were very small and the food wasn't halal, just so you know. My cousin found a hair in her salad, and the owner clearly called us liars—how shameful! Almost the entire dish was made up of empty mussels with pieces of plastic in the sauce. There were 19 of us, and we left as soon as we finished. The entire staff needs to be retrained, and quickly. Good luck to you because at this rate you're going to be overwhelmed very quickly in the coming season.

08/03/2026: There were six of us, and we all ordered pizza. Every single pizza was undercooked, and the toppings were disgusting. Another woman at the table ordered carbonara; the pasta was tough, and the parmesan on top was expired. Besides, carbonara isn't made with cream, but with egg and pasta water. We all got food poisoning. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! The only positive point was that the waiter was quite nice (which is to be expected).

05/03/2026: An unforgettable culinary experience… but not in a good way. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was as frosty as the meal itself. The waiters have that rare ability to make you regret coming before you've even opened the menu. Not ordering wine seems to be a crime here, punished with a roll of the eyes and a theatrical sigh. Asking for bread is almost an act of audacity: you're politely ignored. Only regulars are treated with deference! Minimalist dishes, frozen fries—you leave the restaurant feeling hungry. Very expensive for such mediocre service. Avoid at all costs!

01/10/2025: 1 star because zero doesn't exist. Shame on the profession where some people don't count their hours. We were staying in Mandelieu-Lanapoule for a few days. On Sunday, we wanted to eat there and supposedly had a private menu. On Monday, there was a special menu that didn't suit us too much, so the owner himself gave us a business card so we could reserve the next day. To my great surprise, the restaurant was closed the next day. Honestly, he doesn't want customers. My advice: go to the other restaurants in Mandelieu-Lanapoule where the service and quality are excellent.
