29/07/2026: I was a little surprised by this experience. The menu isn't very extensive, yet at 8 p.m., with only six customers in the restaurant, the two dishes I had chosen were already sold out. This suggests that other dishes may also have been unavailable. The dishes we eventually ordered were good and well-prepared. However, I'm less enthusiastic about the value for money. In the evening, expect to pay around €100 per person excluding drinks, which is a significant expense. Finally, the service was quite slow: we waited over 30 minutes for our food even though the restaurant was nearly empty. In the end, the food was good, but given the prices, the experience didn't completely win me over.

30/08/2026: First and definitely last time. We booked three days in advance for six people. When we arrived, they told us they weren't aware of our reservation and that we were lucky there was space. WHAT A JOKE!!! The waitress was unpleasant. We asked her about the different meats, and her response was, "I don't know." The main courses, drinks, and dessert arrived, but not as we ordered. And the WORST part was when we pointed it out, we were met with grimaces and almost hisses. And don't be in a hurry to eat (35 minutes for ice cream). Luckily, the quality of the meat redeemed the experience.

29/08/2026: We went to eat there on a Saturday evening and found the setting pleasant and the decor appropriate for the restaurant. We are giving it two stars because the waiter was very professional compared to the very passive and inexperienced waitresses, and especially because we were very disappointed with the dishes: tartare and crudité with carpaccio. The tartare was truly inedible, with a watery taste, poorly prepared—the worst tartare we have ever eaten, not a single blade of salad, and the fries were unsalted and cold. The carpaccio was the same, tasteless. After speaking with the waiter, we learned that the carpaccio was frozen and that the tartare was the Charal brand, which is not mentioned anywhere on the menu and was not specified when ordering. After discussing this at the checkout, we pointed out that they should warn customers about frozen meats and also serve coffee with individually wrapped sugar cubes, not loose sugar, for hygiene and legal reasons. We found two serious errors: failure to inform customers about the product served and a lack of proper preparation. The hygiene standards for unpackaged sugar are outrageous, especially considering the price paid, and there's no one in charge to explain why. It's a disgrace. We absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

27/08/2026: Like 90% of its customers, I come from Fenelon and I often eat there for lunch. It's good, no doubt about it, the prices aren't outrageous, and sometimes when he has too much left over, the manager (Fabien) gives it to us. However, there's something that bothers me, and apparently, judging by the reviews, I'm not the only one. The manager's friendliness is inconsistent; when it's empty, he's very nice, but when it's busy, he rushes you, doesn't want you to talk too much, and wants you to leave quickly so he can get paid as fast as possible. It really shows, which ruins the "pleasure" of eating there, which is a shame.

08/10/2026: A truly charming, authentic restaurant that seems frozen in time: a warm welcome, authentic decor, little wooden booths, and above all, excellent homemade food! Merda di can and daube, a truly divine pistou soup, generous and served with pesto and croutons, and a delicious, traditional crème brûlée. In short, a place I would recommend to everyone!

03/10/2026: We had a truly delightful family meal at Lou Balico in Nice. The dishes were delicious, bursting with Niçoise flavors that delighted us from beginning to end. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. A wonderful place that we highly recommend.

05/10/2026: Saw this quaint place while strolling through Menton during the afternoon and decided to give it a try. Really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. The food was good (though not great) but very enjoyable. The service was attentive at the beginning of our meal but as the evening progressed, maybe they forgot us. While I prefer a leisurely paced meal, we were one of the first tables seated but one of the last to leave. I finally went to the kitchen to ask for the check. They never brought water to the table and I wanted a second glass of wine but couldn’t order because they server didn’t come to our table after bringing our meals.

There are much better options for the same price. The pastries are dry, and the pain au chocolat is so bad you have to look for the chocolate, please! The tarts seem well-filled, thanks to the incredibly thick pastry. No, it's just not acceptable, disrespectful to the very end. What shocks me the most is the response to my request... I prefer to remain polite. - Request: Excuse me, this is the first time I've seen that eating in costs more. Could you please explain why? - Yes, it's normal, we don't have to clean up people's mess, we have other things to do! I was stuck with that response. I think if this place doesn't want to clean up after tourists or residents, the best thing to do is not to provide tables and chairs. That seems logical! Frankly, I'm from the neighborhood and I'm never going back. I'd rather pay a little more at Immocafe than you, who steal from and mistreat tourists. Don't worry, your threatening message doesn't scare me, ma'am. I'll come back and take more pictures, and we'll see who isn't telling the truth. 16/09/2026: An excellent restaurant in Nice, located near the port. The food is superb and the service very professional. The ingredients are high quality, so the prices reflect what's on your plate. We loved eating there.
