12/11/2025: Passing through for one night. In the heart of the village and on a hillside, offering a magnificent, unobstructed view. Impeccable and spacious room. Excellent meal, with well-prepared homemade dishes and elegant presentation, all served in a superb dining room (a converted former wine cellar). Generous and varied breakfast.

09/11/2025: It was a real pleasure to return to this place and find a large room with exposed stone walls and an extremely clean and welcoming bathroom, just like the owner or his employees during the delicious evening meal.

22/02/2026: A truly wonderful place to stay in Narbonne. Sylvie and Thierry are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay cozy and enjoyable. The rooms are spotless and tastefully decorated, and the bedding is excellent. Special mention goes to the breakfast, which is a real treat (the fresh, local produce is much appreciated). I highly recommend it.

22/10/2025: Such an amazing experience. Liz and Joe were the most gracious hosts and treated my partner and I exceptionally. With an incredibly informative tour, exceptional food and world class wine. Anything written in this review doesn't do the evening we spent with them enough credit to an unforgettable night and lovley people. If we ever have the opportunity of being in the region again, we will be returning.

24/09/2025: Winery visit: it is impossible to overstate the warmth of hospitality of Joe and Liz! We arrived as strangers, and left feeling like family. The winery tour was everything we could have hoped for: starting with a chilled glass of white on the terrace overlooking the hills, tasting grapes on the vine about to be harvested, a tour of the equipment, pouring wines straight from the tank and dipping a cask, with Joe telling anecdotes about the history as well as explaining how it’s done. Finally Liz’s amazing and generous cooking in their beautiful dining room, including her home-cured salmon. She even tweaked the menu to ensure that our young Asian friends got a home-cooked rice dish. Convivial doesn’t begin to describe it. Thankfully, Liz also arranged with our taxi driver to come back rather later than originally planned 😂. Practical note: it’s about 20 minutes drive from Carcassonne and they can recommend taxi drivers.

08/02/2026: 100% recommended!!!! Very clean hotel, with impeccable service. Hard breakfast, freshly made and delicious! Dog friendly…you can even have breakfast with your pet!!! I'll be back!

08/08/2025: I normally like the crust crisper. BUT I loves how thin it was. The flavors were great. The man was working alone, help was on vacation. I felt bad for the man. Answering phones, cooking fixing pizzas, doing payments. One his own.

02/10/2025: A very pleasant surprise to discover this restaurant. In an old stone setting, this old village house, superbly enhanced by the decor, its soft and slightly vintage atmosphere, is worth a stop. Too bad it's closed all winter.

30/09/2025: A fabulous experience at this restaurant! I highly recommend it! I would like to highlight the kindness of the staff who welcomed us and provided enthusiastic advice. The food was excellent and the service was very fast. I would also like to compliment the squid tentacles, which were absolutely succulent!! All in all: a delightful evening thanks to the team at the Calicots restaurant. Thank you!

27/02/2026: Honestly, this is just unacceptable at this level of non-food! Coming on a Friday night, when restaurants should be packed, and eating alone—I should have listened to that one sign… In short, the "food" was bland and greasy. Undercooked and poorly defrosted prawns served on a bed of eggplant that hadn't been drained, so it was watery and tasteless… The fries were offered hot "for extra crispiness" but were still swimming in beef fat… I left them, like practically everything else… They must be having a good laugh in the kitchen. Maybe they're playing PlayStation? Even the two scoops of ice cream (a generic brand like Aldi's) were still frozen solid in what was probably a malfunctioning freezer… I hope I don't get sick.

29/01/2026: A discovery in Narbonne's old town. A small restaurant run by an older couple with a very honest menu. The Petite Cour salad was fresh and immaculate. For my main course, I chose the Souris Agneau, a lamb shank that was divine in terms of crispness and flavor. A classic crème brûlée rounded off this delightful dining experience. I will definitely return.

07/02/2026: Fantastic place! We ate there for the first time today and we'll definitely be back soon! The dishes were delicious, refined, and elegant.
