11/10/2024: Very nice little restaurant, located in a charming and quiet location. We had the daily menu, delicious and very good presentation of the dishes. The staff very friendly and efficient. We were lucky enough to be able to go there just before the summer season closed. We are waiting for you in spring! Fine aviat!

03/08/2024: Very pleasant cozy restaurant, very pleasant welcome from the owner, very generous and tasty dishes, what's more, the kitchen is open to the room, and we see the owner at the bakery preparing the dishes we ordered, that and the smells of cooking, it's very mouth-watering. Absolutely recommended!!!

04/09/2024: Une auberge ou l on ne perd pas de temps. Les plats sont bons et servis rapidement par Chritophe et Carole qui ne font pas de voyage a vide. Toujours avec le sourire. Bref j ai bien aimé mais pour les gourmands, preferez les plats a la carte qui sont nettement plus copieux (mais ca c est normal) Encore bravo a eux 2 et a leur cuistot.

04/09/2024: Nous sommes allé dans ce restaurant sur recommandation et nous aurions mieux fait de passer notre chemin!! Les prix sont très chers pour ce que c'est; la carte n'est pas exceptionnelle et certaines formulations sont tournées de façon à vous induire en erreur. Sur les 4 personnes nous avons toutes été malades alors que nous avions pris 4 plats différents; le foie gras n'est clairement pas maison et doit être de l'industriel bas de gamme (suinte; non dénervé; ne se tient pas...); et une vinaigrette ne se résume pas à mettre uniquement de l'huile sur une salade! Cette adresse est en résumé un attrape touriste qui donne en plus une très mauvaise image par rapport aux autres établissements qui font du qualitatif.

10/01/2025: It was close to where we were staying. The truth is that it was very good, the coffee was good, the pastries the same, the only bad thing is that inside it only has a couple of tables and if they are full you have to go outside, luckily it wasn't cold when we went, but the tables and chairs to put One but to the place, they should fix them up a little. But recommended if you want to have breakfast near the castle.

08/01/2025: The woman who works there has a very bad attitude. We bought 4 quiches but 2 of them were not fresh ( fish one had very bad smell) . Cookies were not fresh neither.

10/07/2025: Great grill restaurant, very generous on the tapenade portions but not so much on the grilled dishes. It lacks a little grilling tutorial for people who don't know how to cook, like photos of how long you should let certain shellfish cook, etc.

09/07/2025: A restaurant that passes when you're hungry, but honestly, the mussels marinière... very disappointed, you can tell they're not fresh, 3 tons of dehydrated parsley, not to mention the frozen garlic... the mussels are crispy... in short, a tourist restaurant.

14/09/2024: Well a little confused and totally unimpressed; I was really looking forward to visiting this restaurant on my trip to Carcassonne. We walked in at 19.30 on a Saturday night and asked for a table for three. The guy asked if I had a reservation and I said no; he then said reservations only and the restaurant was empty apart from one table of four….. So I’m totally confused and rather upset as it made no sense; the only thing I good think of is that they obviously don’t want tourists and it’s a place for the locals - shame on you Le Cathare it’s put a sour taste in my mouth now for the rest of my trip

30/11/2025: We recently went to this restaurant for lunch because the online reviews were very good. We were disappointed because there was no atmosphere, no music, and a TV was playing a scene of a woman being murdered while we were with children. We found it overpriced for what it was.

08/11/2025: The restaurant is very nice. The staff are too. However, I ordered a paella with rabbit and chicken... I'm still looking for the chicken, which was apparently replaced by pieces of beef (I imagine it was tasteless, as I only managed to eat a tiny bit) that were extremely overcooked... which I couldn't eat. It's a shame because the place was lovely.

21/09/2024: Just a stop on the canal. If you're hungry, get there before 1330. You won't be served food otherwise even if you're 5 minutes over!!
