21/12/2025: A really great way to do a trip back in time

17/11/2025: Medieval cuisine is certainly different from what we're used to eating today. Some dishes might, at first glance, seem a little bland, or at least not the kind of thing that would immediately make our mouths water, because our 21st-century palates are accustomed to tastes that are too sweet, too fatty, or too salty (clearly not the best for our health!). However, the kitchen team rose to this challenge brilliantly: each dish was perfectly seasoned, fragrant, and truly delicious. This made the culinary experience even more successful. The experience is further enhanced by the entertainment offered throughout the meal, as well as by the choice of costumes at the beginning, which immediately immerses us in the medieval atmosphere. We also greatly appreciated the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant, with only one seating at lunchtime: no constant coming and going, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend! Until next time!

Unfortunately, my stomach wasn't empty enough because I couldn't finish. What can I say except that we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Excellent home cooking, very generous portions, and a very welcoming and friendly staff. The only downside: it's very noisy. Understandable, since it was packed. Highly recommended!

07/08/2026: Just as we were about to order, the waitress came to collect the menus without saying a word. She then returned at 12:09 PM to tell us we could no longer order from the brunch menu because they stopped preparing food between 12 PM and 2 PM. Coincidentally, she did this right after serving our drinks. This isn't mentioned anywhere, so it's completely unacceptable. If we had known, we wouldn't have ordered the drinks, and they are well aware of this. The waitress was unpleasant, and I'm giving the food one star because we didn't get to try it.

27/06/2026: A tea room where it's a pleasure to step inside and sit down to enjoy a homemade pastry. The slices of cake are generous and there's a wide variety to choose from. The tea comes from Daman and the homemade refreshing drinks are excellent. The style of the tea room is a bit rococo, but it's so inviting! The staff is very friendly and, above all, very professional. The prices are reasonable. A must-try for food lovers! P.S.: There's also a savory menu at lunchtime.

16/06/2026: I came after hearing so much about the trompe-l'œil pastries. I wanted to try the hazelnut one, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed; they don't make it anymore. So, I took the advice of the very friendly saleswoman and chose the mango. I admit it was well-made and a good pastry. But the price… €7, and it's really a small portion! While the pistachio and peanut pastries were bigger and the others a bit cheaper, the mango was truly tiny for the price. I noticed that all the pastries in the bakery are quite expensive considering their size. I don't want to downplay the pastry chefs' work, but I don't think the quality-price ratio is really reasonable. Perhaps I'll change my mind about the hazelnut one someday when it's back in stock. I still want to commend the shopkeeper for her kindness and helpful advice.
