02/02/2026: Passing through Angers for an interview, what a great find! The meat is incredible and not greasy at all, the homemade fries and white sauce are delicious too, the staff is super friendly, and the Berliner is simply amazing. The feta cheese is included throughout the entire sandwich. An incredible experience, my partner and I will definitely be back! 👍 And on top of that, the price is more than reasonable considering the generous portion.

28/02/2026: A friendly welcome awaited us at this noisy restaurant with its kitschy "Castilian & bullfighting" decor in a very vintage sixties style... hmm. The food was impeccable and delicious. That's the main thing. Our small group opted for the set lunch menu: starter, main course, and dessert. The salmon starter was excellent. That day, the main course was "confit pork ribs" with a choice of fries, pasta, or green vegetables. It was tasty and tender. The available desserts, crème brûlée or floating island, didn't exactly set the world on fire. In short, we ate well overall, but the drinks were a bit of a letdown. For an aperitif, my half-pint of wheat beer was frankly expired and undrinkable. They replaced it, but the waiter didn't seem at all surprised. A completely clueless waitress served tomato juice to a friend and didn't even know what celery salt was. Free info: Celery salt is a mild seasoning for tomato juice, as well as vegetable broths and legumes. It also flavors the "Bloody Mary" cocktail. We had a good time, but since the waitress didn't ask if we wanted wine or anything else, we ate with tap water. A shame. As for the itemized bill, it was rounded up for payment but not issued, and that was that.

23/02/2026: A very good restaurant in Rodez; we went there for a meal with colleagues. The dining room isn't huge, but groups are welcome without any problems. There's a good selection on the menu and excellent value for money.

31/01/2026: Calling yourself "La Boucherie" (The Butcher Shop) and serving a steak tartare that resembles industrially produced ground beef is audacious. Almost conceptual. The "hand-cut" service must have been on vacation that day, replaced by a quick spin through the meat grinder, devoid of passion or conviction. As for the service, expect a good hour's wait for your main course, with multiple reminders, just to make sure the kitchen actually exists behind the walls. Spoiler alert: it does, but clearly without any urgency or inspiration (even though we had a reservation). In the end, zero flavor, zero attention to detail, and an experience that mainly makes you want to... eat somewhere else. Good news: the shopping area is full of other restaurants that still seem to believe that decent service and well-prepared meat are essential. In short, if you love meat, steer clear. If you enjoy waiting a long time only to be disappointed, you've come to the right place.

18/01/2026: A restaurant with a varied à la carte menu and excellent meat. The sweetbreads with morels were a delight, both in quality and quantity. Friendly and efficient staff.

16/11/2025: As a regular at L'Ancien Phonographe, I miss this place. There wasn't enough room to dance, and yet not everyone was dancing. The food and drinks (too watered down) were still just average, just like before. I was disappointed by the music, which was almost entirely 80s hits all evening. The place is more convenient than it used to be, certainly, but that's about it.

16/11/2025: First time here tonight, perfect atmosphere, the meal was served exactly when it needed to be (despite my initial impression of the evening). The music was almost perfect, a very good evening for this type of event. I mustn't forget to thank the staff (the servers) who were attentive, responsive, and really went the extra mile to get the atmosphere going.

22/02/2026: I spent my early years in that restaurant, never disappointed, nothing but good memories

15/02/2026: So yesterday we went, the waiter told us we wouldn't get a table for another hour because the place was full. He took our reservation, so we came back an hour later, around 10 PM, and surprise, he told us they were closing because they were out of pizza dough. Uh-oh, you should have managed your dough stock properly! Anyway, I was so annoyed, even the next day. 2026 is just around the corner, we need to stay focused.

21/02/2026: The waitress (Katia) was incredibly pleasant, the service and meal were impeccable, and there was very little wait for the dishes despite the restaurant being full. A wonderful time shared with friends.

03/12/2025: A restaurant that doesn't look like much at first glance, with outdated decor, but the welcome is very warm, and the staff are extremely kind and smiling. The cuisine is traditional and of remarkable quality, with a special mention for the terrine served at the table – it's amazing! 😊😊😊
