22/08/2026: Unfortunately, I expected better. The meat was cooked well, but that's where the positives end! The potato on the side was mealy, and the vegetables… what can I say? Bad or inedible, in any case, we didn't eat them… it's a shame to use canned or frozen vegetables and cook them poorly because they're so bad (especially in the middle of summer when the nearby market is overflowing with beautiful produce!). And then the dessert!… another great adventure! I understand you don't have time to make them yourself, but buy good quality ingredients; this is definitely budget-level stuff! So, okay, it's a grill restaurant, but the other dishes served should be good… in fact, during the week of August 15th, there were only 5 tables open… enough said!

04/08/2026: Grilled meats cooked over a wood fire, potatoes cooked over a wood fire, a tray of vegetables and mushrooms, simple and delicious!

11/04/2026: Honestly, a gem! Authentic Senegalese cuisine, bursting with flavor; you can tell everything is homemade. The welcome is warm, the staff incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere truly pleasant. You feel right at home. I recommend it 100%, I'll definitely be back! 🔥

05/01/2026: Our roast chicken has become a neighborhood staple! Very good. Always a polite welcome, which isn't the case in many other establishments. And the prices are normal, not inflated! 😁👍👏💪👌

13/09/2026: We went to eat with my 8-year-old son. I asked for a children's menu (not listed on the menu). The menu was €12 plus a burger (???) for €1.50, and of course, without the €4 drink. The total came to €17.50 for the children's menu. I now understand why it's not on your menu. We won't be back, which is a shame because the service and food are excellent. A ripped-off customer...

05/09/2026: The starter was very good. However, the main courses weren't great. The rump steak I ordered rare arrived very medium. The béarnaise sauce was made with mayonnaise. The bread tasted burnt.

29/09/2026: Absolutely excellent, great value for money. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I always stop there when I go to Aubagne since 2021 and have never been disappointed!

14/05/2026: Stayed for 4 nights at the end of April 2026. The room was functional and comfortable. A mini bar is available for your own drinks, but no kettle, tea/coffee or mugs are provided. Beautiful and large exterior seating area to enjoy. Pool area clean and beautifully landscaped. Lucie served our breakfasts and she was charming, engaging and fun. On our last day we needed to leave before breakfast service. We spoke to Lucie and she said that she could provide it earlier and it was on our terrace waiting for us, just as requested. Our chats with her were a warm and memorable part of our stay and 6 week trip. The whole complex had a lovely family feel and our dog Rudi was made to feel very welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or to return and it is an ideal base to explore Bonifacio!

18/04/2026: Fantastic stay! The guesthouse is charming, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, ideal for enjoying Bonifacio. We received a warm welcome from helpful hosts who offered excellent advice. The breakfast was delicious, featuring high-quality products. One small drawback: the swimming pool wasn't working during our stay, which was a shame. Fortunately, our host recommended a beautiful beach nearby, which more than made up for it. A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend.

31/07/2026: This restaurant is a hidden gem in the Ardesh. The food was good, as was the atmosphere under the trees, which made it very cozy. The staff were very friendly and tried their best to speak English. It is located quite far from a village, making it very quiet and something you wouldn't easily find from the road, which is a shame for this restaurant as they deserve more customers.

31/07/2026: It is a really nice and cozy restaurant under a beautiful large tree. There is a pleasant atmosphere, and friendly staff who also speak English. It is located a bit out of the way, so it is not very busy. The food was also very tasty. It is definitely recommended!

26/09/2026: Thank you, Alexandre, for your welcome... "Could you move further back?" Me: "Why?" Him: "Well, it's obvious I set the table over there"... Setting the table = putting down a paper napkin and two pieces of cutlery. So, when you come for a breakfast set with eggs, you're supposed to just swallow them whole, without using the table setting that Mr. Alexandre clearly spent hours creating... You have no business being in the restaurant business, Alexandre! Le Rouge Limé is going downhill; this is the second time I've received such unbelievable remarks from so-called waiters... Go to the Duke across the street; they're friendly when they serve you.

14/09/2026: Coffee stop. The owner refused to serve us and directed us to the public toilets, which were filthy. A very unpleasant experience, which we reported to the bus driver, who will no longer take anyone there.

14/09/2026: A restaurant tucked away around a bend in the road, inviting you in. There were four of us, and we had a round table in the shade. The menu is short but varied. The octopus and prawn salad was incredibly generous, flavorful, and bursting with taste. Everyone loved their dish. The welcome and service were on par with the food—very attentive and friendly.

30/08/2026: The food is of very poor quality. I ordered a savory crepe, which was simply awful, with a sweet crepe batter. The ground beef was as hard as a shoe. Not to mention the hygiene and the regulars smoking at the counter. 🤨 I really only recommend this restaurant if you have no other choice and it's raining cookies.

03/10/2026: Avoid this place! This restaurant doesn't listen to its customers and refuses to accept criticism. Look at older reviews that express the same feelings. It's necessary to set the record straight regarding your response: Missing information about the ribeye steak: It is nowhere stated that the ribeye steak on the menu is meant to be shared. Other older reviews on your page already point this out. Furthermore, the meat served was excessively fatty and contained a disproportionate amount of bone compared to the edible portion (as shown in the attached photos). Goodwill gesture and apple juice: The glass of apple juice wasn't charged out of pure generosity, but simply because the apple juice included in the unlimited drink deal was never actually served to us. Attitude and Team Management: Regarding your lack of consideration, when we pointed out the inconsistencies with the manager, she dismissed the issue by contemptuously explaining that the employees were newly hired, didn't yet know how things worked, and were "just regular employees." When we suggested she call the servers to confirm our statements, she categorically refused to speak with them. It is precisely this refusal and behavior that demonstrate the bad faith and condescension we denounced.

02/10/2026: There were two of us that day, and we had a wonderful time. We're from the area, so we know a little about the traditions of our good old cider houses. The rib-eye steak was excellent, perfectly cooked, the charcuterie very good, and the welcome was pleasant. And since it seems we need to mention it: sagardoa, Basque cider, is something you either love or hate. Tastes are subjective. But when you come to the Basque Country on holiday and walk into a traditional cider house, the least you can do is perhaps learn a little about what a sagardotegi is and the traditions that go with it. Basque cider isn't Breton cider, and that's precisely the point! 😄 It's drier, more rustic, with its own characteristics and, above all, a real story behind it. You might not like it, no problem. But criticizing a Basque cider house for serving Basque cider is rather odd. The same goes for the ribeye steak: in this kind of establishment, prime cuts are meant to be shared. The bone is part of the meat, and that's hardly a surprise when you order a ribeye. So, to tourists visiting our region: enjoy yourselves, discover our products and traditions. And if you're unfamiliar with them, do some research before your vacation. 😉 As for us, we have no complaints: we'll gladly return. 🌶️🥩🍏
