Le Jardin d'Aurélie
Marseille-5E, Marseille
01/07/2026: Superb terrace, classic but good cuisine
19/05/2026: Excellent service, efficient and friendly. The meat I ordered rare was served just slightly overcooked; otherwise, the food would have been better. Very well located opposite La Timone.

L'agora
Vitrolles
03/07/2026: I'm particularly disappointed today.
I ordered a Milanese cutlet; it was cooked horribly, the breading was soggy, truly disgusting, and I mean it!! On top of forgetting my cutlery, I paid €3 for a so-called Brookie that was the size of a sugar cube.
Never again.
30/06/2026: Friendly welcome, quick service, generous portions.
Plenty of à la carte and set menu options.
Modern and fresh.

26/07/2026: Excellent Lebanese food, both in quality and quantity. The service was friendly, quick, pleasant, and attentive. Easy parking. I highly recommend it.
22/07/2026: Nice place, but the kibbeh are awful 😩 too many grains, not enough meat, and the taste is terrible! The accompanying salad is old and wilted, really unappetizing.

Le Gallifet
Martigues
12/06/2026: I stumbled upon this place while strolling through the center of Martigues. What a pleasant surprise! It's a family-run restaurant, and I received a very warm welcome. But that's not all—the food was delicious! The cuisine was excellent. I almost regret not ordering more tapas.
10/06/2026: The owners are wonderful people. Really enjoyed our meal and will return soon 😊.

Les 2 Suds
Arles
16/07/2026: A Piece of History and Living Art in Arles
Visiting this garden is like stepping directly into one of Van Gogh's canvases. The space is recreated with meticulous detail, and the flowers respect the colors and arrangement that the painter immortalized in his famous painting, The Garden of the Hospital at Arles.
The Atmosphere: The inner courtyard is full of life. Although it's usually quite busy with people and tourists, it still retains a special charm. The yellow arcades surrounding the garden are beautiful.
Shops and Services: Under the arcades, you'll find several charming souvenir shops, bookstores, and temporary exhibitions by local artists that perfectly complement your visit.
Things to Keep in Mind: As it's such an iconic spot, it gets quite crowded. I recommend going with a little patience so you can take photos calmly from the exact perspective where Van Gogh placed his easel. A must-see and free if you visit Arles. It's thrilling to walk on the same ground that inspired the genius!
16/07/2026: A magnificent courtyard.
To enjoy the place without people, you can arrive around 8 a.m. The downside is the mosquitoes.

La Cantinetta
Marseille-1Er, Marseille
15/06/2026: Excellent, as usual: warm welcome, speed, and excellent food.
13/06/2026: We were already familiar with Otto, so we wanted to try La Cantinetta.
Well, it's simply delicious! What more can you say?! That's the foundation of any restaurant, isn't it?!
The service was impeccable; all the servers were perfect.
The only downside is that delicious food means a popular restaurant! So, it was very crowded. We chose the patio to enjoy the cool air, and the terrace is right on the street (not much foot traffic). It was packed, so I'm wondering if we'll try the indoor seating next time, where it was less busy. Because yes, we'll definitely be back, without hesitation!

La Pergùla
Arles
23/04/2026: A very nice place, pleasant staff and excellent food.
12/04/2026: The food was fantastic. We ordered the daily special, a steak with a unique sauce containing mushrooms and wood ear fungus. Special praise goes to their kids' meal; it was very thoughtful, featuring a special combination of meat, fries, and ice cream. The server even gave the kids lollipops afterwards – the service was warm and attentive.

Jardin Mazarin
Aix-En-Provence
07/07/2026: We had a lovely time at Jardin Mazarin. The service was impeccable and the waiters were very attentive. The food was also excellent, at a very reasonable price.
I highly recommend this restaurant if you're ever in Aix-en-Provence!
20/06/2026: Reservation for two people for my partner's birthday.
A very mixed experience. It started off rather oddly, with a mix-up between still and sparkling water. A minor detail, of course; if it hadn't happened, we wouldn't have even remembered it. Then, we were brought two (identical) cocktails that we hadn't ordered. For a few moments, we thought they were welcome cocktails to go with the appetizers, but the waiter left immediately without showing them to us, so we figured it was another order mistake... two in five minutes. Sure enough, a few minutes later, a waiter returned and apologized, saying they'd brought the wrong table, and took the drinks to another table... without even checking if we'd tasted them or not. Again, if we'd left it at that, it would have amused us but wouldn't have affected our dinner, despite the amateurishness we encountered during the first fifteen minutes.
Then came the rest, which was less amusing. We ordered wine; my partner had a glass of sweet wine, no problem; as for me, I ordered a glass of red. When it arrived, I found it was already quite warm, clearly not 16-18°C, but well, let's just say I'm no expert, so let's move on. What was more concerning was that after tasting it, I noticed something floating in it... Delicately, I took my knife and managed to use the tip to extract... A maggot. Yes, a maggot in my wine, no doubt about it. Not wanting to cause a scene, I tactfully went to the bar with my glass and the maggot still on the end of my knife. The waitress apologized, of course, seemed genuinely sorry and embarrassed, and brought me a new glass (the wine was at the right temperature this time, by the way) and a new knife.
It must be said that the rest of the meal went smoothly, thankfully, and the food was very good.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant because of the maggot incident: firstly, when it came time to pay the bill, not a word about it, not an apology, nothing. Not the slightest gesture of goodwill. We're talking about a customer who found a maggot in his drink, after all... Perhaps I was too polite and too discreet? Perhaps if I had been less friendly I would have gotten something? Apparently, that's how it works now... Furthermore, after consulting with wine professionals I spoke to, it seems this isn't the kind of thing that happens "occasionally" or "by chance" (like a barrel that was contaminated from the start)... No, according to the professionals I spoke with, wine undergoes far too many steps during its production. Therefore, there's a very high probability that the presence of a maggot in the wine stems from a lack of hygiene on the part of the establishment: corks never cleaned between bottles, bottles not always properly sealed, combined with possible contamination of the storage area... In short, the exact reason for the presence of this maggot in my wine will never be determined, but it raises serious questions about the hygiene of this establishment; moreover, the complete lack of any gesture of goodwill is quite deplorable, anywhere, but especially in a restaurant that claims to be upscale.
Not great for a birthday party.
