20/02/2026: The establishment is very well located and has real potential. However, many aspects need improvement to live up to the advertised "standard," particularly on social media. The servers seem to lack training and familiarity with the menu, both for food and wine. Their answers remain vague and imprecise, which doesn't reflect the expected level of quality. Generally speaking, the service lacks care and attention. The menu itself also needs reworking: it's not particularly aesthetically pleasing and doesn't reflect the "upscale" image being promoted. Regarding the ambiance, this is an even more delicate matter. You can't claim a certain level of prestige and play hard techno, a very specific, particularly loud musical style that's hardly compatible with dining. This type of atmosphere should be clearly advertised beforehand so that customers know what to expect. In fact, we were the only customers there for dinner. The other people present seemed to be hardcore tech enthusiasts, there more for the music than the food. This highlights the disconnect between the advertised positioning and the actual experience offered. Finally, it's hard to understand why they charge for a cloakroom when they're hosting a table of 15. This kind of detail contributes to the overall experience and unfortunately gives a rather unprofessional impression, especially considering the claimed level of luxury. It's a shame, because the place has potential, but it needs to bring the service, atmosphere, and communication in line with the promises made.

09/02/2026: The staff were lovely; the doorman Earl, the young man in the cloakroom, and the barmaids were exceptionally kind, a rare quality in this industry. I highly recommend it. I had a fantastic evening with my friends for my 31st birthday. We'll be back!

21/03/2026: The staff were very unpleasant. They ask if you've ordered before even giving you water. Also, be warned if you're concerned about hygiene. At least one of the people setting the tables holds onto cutlery that falls on the floor and makes it touch other cutlery. Normally it's a nice place, but it's probably not the best spot for drinks.

20/03/2026: Horrible waiter, full of nastyness, only in it for the money and doesn't care about the customer. I asked for a tissue because I was sick, and the waiters said, and I repeat, "Tissues? What next? Did you think we were a pharmacy?" Then, when I ordered, they stared at me. I don't recommend it…

17/01/2026: Very, very good tacos, a pretty good atmosphere, and very pleasant staff. The only downside was the slightly slippery floor, but it was a lot of fun.

12/01/2026: Order placed at 6:38 PM. Despite several unanswered calls, it was impossible to get any information about the delivery time. At 7:30 PM, I was finally told "10 to 15 minutes maximum." The result: delivery at 8:30 PM, meaning nearly a two-hour wait, with absolutely no way to contact them in the meantime (the phone just rang as disconnected), while we had two hungry young children. Upon arrival, the order was incomplete: drinks and desserts from the children's menu were missing. The quality was also... but in a bad way: the brown nuggets tasted awful (were they overcooked or spoiled?) and the €8.50 cheeseburger was completely dry. The service was deplorable, a total lack of professionalism, and no consideration for customers. First and last order.

28/12/2025: I was delighted with my visit to Caffè San Carlo, right next to Saint-Charles train station, as the staff served me with great professionalism and kindness. I enjoyed fresh and tasty dishes, with excellent value for money for Marseille. The service was quick, even during peak hours, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. I will definitely return on my next trip to the city 😊🍝☕️

08/12/2025: Nice restaurant, pleasant staff, decent quality, but far too expensive... €62.70 for two pizzas, two glasses of white wine, and a coffee. You should expect to pay over €20 for a pizza... We're talking about a dough made from flour and water... They need to be reasonable and not treat their customers like fools. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

09/02/2026: On February 9, 2026, I went back to Kaena in Marseille for the first time in almost 20 years. What a great idea! I had merguez couscous and Alain had meatball couscous, and we split it half and half. It was delicious. Impeccable service, and the cherry on top was seeing the former owner, whose son has taken over the business. The whole package! We won't wait another 20 years to go back because at my age, I won't be around anymore...😁 Thank you for the quality, the service, and the atmosphere. Keep it up! 👏👏👏 By the way, someone mentioned a poor welcome at the counter? I didn't see a counter. That person must be confusing it with another restaurant. I saw the owner and the waiter; they're both very friendly and welcoming... I must say, we're friendly too... 😉😁

27/02/2026: This snack bar deserves zero stars. We ordered a kebab, and it was a kebab with onions, dry, hard fries, two sauces for two people, and huge whole red onions. It's truly awful. They really need to improve their quality and hygiene. With all the bad reviews, I don't understand how this place is still open. I absolutely do not recommend it.
