25/02/2026: I discovered this brasserie by chance and often stopped by for sandwiches at lunchtime. It's quick and very good, but be careful with the ordering; there are a lot of mistakes…

25/05/2026: The service was incredibly slow, even though it was 1:00 PM and there weren't many customers left to serve! The meat was very tough, even though it was cooked rare, but it was so sinewy. The rice was very good, depending on the plate. We had a nice plate of fresh rice on the first plate, but the other was reheated rice, or rice that had been sitting in the pass for who knows how long. No one came to check on us during the meal to see if everything was alright. There were no surprises with the children's menu. In short, this is the second time I've been there, and both times I've been disappointed. This will be my last visit. There are so many better options in the area.

22/05/2026: I often eat there, for years even, and I've always had a good time. The food, the prices, the service, the wait, and the waiters' behavior have all always been fine. It's a bit noisy, but that's the case in many other restaurants, so it's not really their fault. And I love that they offer continuous service; it's really convenient. Thank you so much for that! When we leave the cinema, we always come here. I recommend it and I will definitely come back. P.S.: Keep up the balloons; the kids love them.

A wide selection of original "dragons," and while I usually go for the classics for fear of making a mistake, here you have to take risks and even trust the chef's improvisation!

26/05/2026: I take back what I said: the service was disgusting and the taste was awful. I asked for a taco without cheese sauce, but they put some on it anyway. When I asked if they could make it again because I'm allergic to cheese sauce, they said no, they didn't have time, even though there were zero customers in the place.

17/05/2026: Sunday, January 19, 2020: My wife and I, passing through Aix-en-Provence, decided to stop for lunch. Things went wrong as soon as we walked into the restaurant. First, the waiter pretended not to see us. I don't know if he was tired or had already received enough tips, but clearly, he didn't like the look of us. Finally, he came over to us and bumped into me (unintentionally, I hope), but without apologizing. One of his colleagues (who saw we'd been waiting for quite a while) ended up insisting we eat outside, which I refused: my wife and I were freezing. His response: "Pffffffffff! I have to clear a table inside!" No comment. Ten minutes later, we were finally seated next to a table that was being used as a garbage can for the rest of the room; menu in hand... After a good fifteen minutes (without having ordered), I decided to go to the restroom to wash my hands. And then... brace yourselves... a vision of utter disgust... even the restrooms on the highway are cleaner! It was filthy. I don't even want to imagine what the kitchens must be like... Leaving that rat hole, I couldn't get back to my table; the owner had decided to hold a work meeting in the same corridor and was yelling at his staff to anyone who would listen (at the same time, I don't blame him: his waiters are terrible). After several insistent "excuse me," I managed to get back to my table, and of course, no one had come to take my order yet. So we went to Pizza Papa, just a little further down the same avenue, where, on the other hand, we received: - a very warm welcome - a quick order - a short wait - good quality food - a lower bill In short, avoid Café du Roi René! Run to Pizza Papa!!
