24/05/2026: (RESTAURANT) A huge disappointment. The evening had been planned for months. There were about 20 of us with a pre-arranged set menu. We booked for 7:00 PM and all arrived on time (the two latecomers arrived at 7:10 PM... not bad). The weather was magnificent, sunny, and we sadly discovered that our table had been awkwardly squeezed into the cellar, with BFM TV playing in the background (?) and no background music, nothing... We asked if we could be seated outside (both to get some fresh air and to make things easier for the staff), but it wasn't possible because "it's a table for tomorrow, so it's a no" (second time??). The staff was understaffed. We understand, we're patient, and above all, we don't blame them. An hour after our arrival, we still hadn't received an aperitif… it was a long time, sitting at a table in a cellar for an hour without even a carafe of water. The meal went a little better; the appetizers and main courses followed each other fairly well. But we felt neglected, having to go back and forth between the cellar and the dining room to ask to be served several times… in the end, 40 minutes after dessert, no one had offered us coffee or come to ask if we wanted to pay; no one seemed concerned about how things were going. We'll definitely remember the bad. 7:00 PM to 11:45 PM is really a very long time. A shame. What redeemed everything, because there were a few positive aspects: - the quality of the food: we can't say we ate badly; that would be a lie. Excellent cuisine. - The attitude of the extra waiter, there to help: he didn't let it get to him, did everything he could to make up for it, and even managed to smile despite the difficulties. He put in a tremendous effort, which was very kind. Thank you to him. Unfortunately, he disappeared mid-service, and the remaining staff weren't as pleasant. - The kitchen/dining room teamwork: the staff was struggling, we all know how that feels, but they didn't give up, and one of the cooks bravely stepped up to help out – much appreciated. We did everything we could to be pleasant; being in the business, we know the pressures of a busy schedule—it can be incredibly intense. We even cleared the plates ourselves and placed them on the side tables to make things easier for the servers (whom we unfortunately didn't see much of)... but relegating a table of 20 to the back of a cellar under the pretext that the next day's setup is already complete in weather like this, and consequently (of course) forgetting the customers who have to run back and forth to avoid being forgotten, is unacceptable, especially considering we booked the evening months in advance. Fortunately, we were in good company and still had a pleasant evening together. Unfortunately, the nonchalance of the person present at checkout and the lack of consideration (none of the "regular" staff even asked us how we were) mean we don't feel like leaving a good review.

19/05/2026: I only visited the restaurant; the home-style cooking was very affordable, and I will definitely go back.

04/04/2026: We didn't find the restaurant we knew before Covid. The waiters weren't unpleasant, but the menu, the food, the opening hours... we were disappointed. It was better before... We used to be real regulars.

04/04/2026: Visited on a Saturday around 8pm. It’s about a 10mins walk from the main sightseeing spots, but very close to the station, which makes it convenient. You can enjoy traditional Alsace dishes here. The atmosphere feels refined, the service is good, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. And of course, the food was amazing.

02/06/2026: During a three-day road trip in the Vosges Mountains, I spent two nights at this hotel and it was a wonderful discovery. I particularly appreciated the warm welcome: a friendly, helpful, and attentive team that immediately made me feel at ease. The room was clean, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the region. As for the food, the meals were high-quality, generous, and served with the same warm hospitality I experienced throughout my stay. I highly recommend it and would be delighted to return on my next trip to the Vosges.

20/04/2026: Booking.com did not register our breakfast reservation, and the owner-staff went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. The room was spotless and the bathroom excellent.

20/02/2026: Very comfortable studio with everything you need: firm but comfortable bedding, sheets and towels worthy of a luxury hotel, a very large bathroom, and a spacious shower. Everything is provided. The private parking is very well located. Quiet location despite being in a busy area. We will gladly return.

27/05/2026: We were looking forward to it. Just a delicious meal after a long day of travel. Restaurant Le Kaysersberg seemed cozy to us. There was just one table left. We were given the menu and picked out something tasty. However, after about twenty minutes, no one from the wait staff had come to ask us if we wanted something to drink. They did have time to prepare other tables for new guests... After 25 minutes, we got up. Had a delicious meal at a simple Italian restaurant. Nice atmosphere there at Le Kaysersberg.

19/05/2026: Tasteless food Catastrophic service (especially from the youngest waiter) Endless wait

23/04/2026: Friendly staff. I ordered a chicken sandwich. The salad looked fresh, but the rest of the sandwich was deplorable: bland, dry white bread, sauce, and the first bit of chicken I could taste was in the middle of the sandwich. It tasted like eating a stale crust of white bread with a layer of mayonnaise. I threw the rest away and went to buy one elsewhere... The pastries looked appetizing, and the pizzas and quiches looked good with very little crust, so the rest might be very good... worth trying, but as for the sandwiches, avoid them...

04/03/2026: Stopped for lunch with a colleague. The sandwich sizes were ridiculously small. The price per kilo would be exorbitant. They used margarine instead of butter and grated Gruyère instead of Emmental.

16/05/2026: I don't like to leave negative comments, but I was able to compare the flammekueche at this restaurant with the flammekueche at another restaurant in the evening and frankly there's no comparison. The first one was bland and tasteless; you even wonder if it wasn't industrially produced. They shouldn't offer flammekueche if they don't know how to make it. The rest of the food was basic: breaded escalope and fries. The service was fine.

04/05/2026: The price-performance ratio is completely off. The young staff tried to be friendly, but the food was of abysmal quality. It was reheated frozen food with papery sauce, and the burger was completely raw inside. The ambiance was a completely mismatched mix of styles; the placemats were sticky, and some of the cutlery was made of aluminum. For this price, it's an outrage.

05/06/2026: Fabulous place, the receptionist is a very warm, attentive and incredibly kind person, thank you for this great stay, I recommend it.

20/05/2026: I loved the old-fashioned atmosphere. Also, the fact that it's close to Mulhouse and well-connected.

21/03/2026: For a 2-year-old, we ordered a small portion of spaghetti with butter. We had to ask for more oil because it was served straight from the pot, so it was all stuck together and tasteless. It cost €12, the same price as a large children's portion with Bolognese sauce. There was no table service; I had to get my own food from their basket. As for the coffee service: they bring it on a tray, but the tray is simply placed on the table and left there, essentially "serve yourself." The owner (we assume) seemed bothered by our presence. The wine was good, and our cordon bleu was decent. In short, I don't recommend it.

06/05/2026: It's a shame, because the place is charming. The service is incredibly slow, even though there weren't many people there; there's a real lack of organization. We ordered an aperitif, and the glass they brought me had lipstick stains on it. Don't tell me it can't be removed or that it's not noticeable... And the wait for our meal was incredibly long—over an hour and a half for two burgers! Frankly, I was disappointed. They really need to rethink their organization.

23/05/2026: A little hidden gem tucked away on a side street off the main road, the cellar is nice and cool, which is perfect for summer. The background music is 80s/90s, and the staff are friendly and open to any kind of conversation. We had a great time for €40/€41, including two glasses of wine and two local dishes. Highly recommended.
