18/04/2026: Having arrived by post bus from Laufen, I explored the French village of Kiffis on foot. After a coffee, I managed to capture some interesting photos. A few cyclists were out and about, but otherwise, the road was practically deserted. Anyone seeking peace and quiet will certainly find it here. Since the next post bus wasn't for another five hours, I walked to Ederswiler (Jura) in about an hour.

24/05/2026: A wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. The appetizer, a mixed salad with nuts, croutons, and goat's cheese, was divine and the highlight of our visit. The cordon bleu was tough, dry, and deep-fried. If it had been cooked in butter, it would have been more tender. But every kitchen has its off days. The sauce, however, was perfect and delicious. The spaetzle were also of the highest quality.

26/11/2025: Honestly, not great. Two trout tarte flambées. Either they were both way overcooked, or just plain old but not good! And we pointed it out, so we might as well not say anything... Dessert was fine. But honestly, if tarte flambée is just going to be made with stale, crumbly bread, they shouldn't even be offered!

07/12/2025: The staff wasn't friendly. The pastries were nothing special, and we had to go upstairs because there was no more room downstairs. The cleanliness was really lacking. Upstairs, there was a member of staff doing paperwork at their desk, and the cook was listening to music.

08/03/2026: Absolutely revolting experience. (March 8, 2026; 3:30 PM) While I was in the restroom, a tattooed employee literally forced the door open to physically remove me. This is a blatant violation of privacy and a complete lack of professionalism. I have never seen an establishment treat its customers with such contempt and aggression. If you value your safety and dignity, avoid this place. Apparently, management allows its staff to act like lawless bouncers, even in the most private areas. A total disgrace to the neighborhood. ABSOLUTELY AVOID.

25/05/2026: Fortunately open on Whit Monday and still a spot available. We were able to enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal. We both ordered vegetarian dishes. Very friendly and attentive service. The terrace looked very nice. Our dog also got a bowl of water right away.

25/05/2026: We're a little surprised by the negative reviews because this was our sixth visit to Lucien's, and as before, we weren't disappointed. The portions (generous for the price) were delicious, the service was very quick and friendly, and Lucien (the owner) created a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere with a touch of humor. We were seated on a lovely terrace. As always, we had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this place… Thanks again to the whole team! 👌👏 We can't wait to come back to Alsace! 😉

25/05/2026: Our first experience was disappointing. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. It's a real shame she was reprimanded by her boss in front of the other customers. The pan-fried foie gras was dry and the calf's head was swimming in water. The sparkling wine and Coke weren't chilled. We won't be returning. We were a party of 8. For a public holiday, this should have been a red flag. We don't recommend it. What a shame.
