27/04/2026: We came as a family and had a wonderful discovery. The €36 set menu was generous and delicious. The service was quick and the setting, typically Alsatian, was very welcoming. We will recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.

08/06/2026: The promise of a selection of fresh produce is definitely fulfilled on the plate. I greatly appreciated the originality of the expertly and delicately nuanced flavors in each dish. I would gladly return with my loved ones. Keep up the good work! Note to the complainers: go stuff yourselves at McDonald's, which is better suited to the refinement of your palate.

06/06/2026: I had reserved a table for myself and two other people. The evening started a little noisy, but it quickly calmed down! The servers were all equally pleasant. We ate as we pleased, and even the dessert that had caught our eye disappeared, just like the rest of the dishes! Thank you for your warm welcome and kindness; we will be back soon!

31/05/2026: First time there, it's quite a climb to get there, but the reward is well worth it. Amazing view, friendly staff. The meal was fantastic, kudos to the kitchen and the service. I'm not rating the rooms as I didn't stay in them.

01/06/2026: I stopped by for lunch during my stay in Colmar, and it lived up to my expectations. The decor is extraordinary; the theme truly transports you. The presentation is impeccable. The staff are friendly and helpful, offering excellent recommendations. The food is delicious, especially the dessert.

24/05/2026: This restaurant, even though in a beautiful spot seems to lack in a lot of fields. From the service being done by multiple people and having no follow-up with our meal, to the food that was lacking in tastes and originality. It feels as if we were robbed out of our money. In my own experience, not only was the meal I chose (vegeterian, as my dietary restrictions didn't permit me to eat most of the other meals on the menu) consisting of just carrots, cooked with the skin on and the leaves still on, but was also, texture wise, a terrible experience. The dessert was a bit more researched but was way too expensive for what it was. The smoking area was also way too close to the patio, leading us to smell cigarette fumes later on as we continued to eat. Portion sizes are way too small for the money we spent. We left still feeling hungry. This restaurant is to run away from if you have a tight budget, and need accomodations.

09/06/2026: First of all, it's not Ramloc but Colmar, there's no Tasty Crousty, I ordered a salad and found a pubic hair and a live, pregnant snail in my plate. Avoid at all costs!!!

05/06/2026: We've eaten at L'AO three times already. Each time, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu selection. Every course is exquisite. They cook superbly with fantastic ingredients. Although L'AO is off the beaten tourist track, it's well worth the slight detour in every respect. The prices are also very fair overall, including the well-thought-out wine list. The restaurant also offers comfortable rooms for overnight stays. For us, L'AO is always a highlight among the many restaurants in southern Alsace.

25/05/2026: The best cheeses you can eat are at Antony's... go there without hesitation, and you'll always get good advice. A sure bet.

18/05/2026: The owner greeted us personally and was very, very friendly. The ambiance has a retro feel, but the exquisite cheeses are unfortunately extremely expensive.

14/06/2026: Very nice atmosphere on a little side street, we were seated on the terrace. The food was nice - we especially recommend the Flammkuchen ! Unfortunately we were too full to try desserts. The white wine Riesling was delicious! Service was a little overworked at times leading to a few slower than needed interactions. But very friendly! We reserved our table, which is necessary on a Saturday evening!

10/05/2026: Located on the banks of the Rhine. Beautiful spot. Many lesser-known wines, but the selection by the glass is rather limited for a wine bar. Service was quite slow, especially on a busy Sunday afternoon, and there was only one waitress doing her best...

18/05/2026: A wonderfully run small hotel with newly renovated rooms and very comfortable beds, right in the center of Turckheim, and featuring an excellent restaurant. Every course of the menu was a pure delight; you can order perfectly paired wines, which further enhances the experience. Perfect service, very good breakfast. Wonderfully quiet at night. The train station is only 400 meters away. Free parking is available Friday through Wednesday at the Place de la Republique, 300 meters away.

05/05/2026: Incredible place and the owner is a lovely character who makes everyone laugh!! The food was excellent, well done!

06/04/2026: We counted more racist remarks from the waitress than bacon bits on our tarte flambée. Overall, the tarte flambée was good, although sparsely topped. I chose this restaurant to introduce people to Alsatian cuisine, but unfortunately, the evening was completely ruined. The waitress was drunk, made racist remarks, and behaved inappropriately towards several people at our table, all in front of children. In addition to her racist remarks, this woman took it upon herself to interfere in the conversations of all the tables. She spoke loudly from one side of the room to address tables at the other end. This is deeply shocking and absolutely unacceptable. What's most concerning is that this person is the owner's wife, and that this behavior is known and tolerated, since no action was taken. Despite the chef's apologies over the phone, this is not enough to compensate for the seriousness of the situation. It's truly a shame, because Alsace deserves better than this kind of situation. As it stands, we absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

30/12/2025: We tried the pork and the chicken. The pork didn’t suit our taste, and the chicken was quite tough, likely overcooked. Service was friendly, but the dishes missed the mark for us.

23/12/2025: We just left this little restaurant with the yellow storefront, at the end of a small square that should be renamed "Happiness Square" because the welcome, the selection of dishes, and the wine all contribute to a particularly pleasant and delicious experience. The sauerkraut is truly excellent, and the breaded chicken is "to die for," according to our daughter. The chocolate mousse is the perfect ending to this treat. Go in, and you'll leave with a smile on your face.
