10/08/2024: On August 10th, 2024 we drove back from Geradmer via Colmar and discovered the inconspicuous restaurant right on the street. Hmm - super delicious! For starters, snails. Tarte flambée for the daughter - a stunner in terms of taste. My wife had a veal schnitzel with cream sauce and mushrooms - it melted in the mouth just like my bouef. For dessert, tiramisu and creme brulee - the creme is a poem. Thank you - that was great cinema. Service and operation very friendly and helpful. This restaurant is an absolute recommendation.

27/07/2024: We went there 10 years ago, with very good memories. 10 years later, it's still just as good. The tarte flambée practically melts in your mouth, and the pizzas are very good. Fair prices and impeccable service too. That is the demand of the people ? The decor? The ceiling pendants are fun.

02/07/2025: We came to celebrate my husband's birthday with our family (with our 3 daughters), and frankly, the atmosphere of the service ruined everything: We arrived, barely a hello, no smile, they pointed at the table and said 'that's the table of 5 over there!' I asked very nicely if we could go to the terrace (it's summer, so yes, it's still hot in the evenings, but not at all insurmountable! I was curtly told that no, it's closed!) Regarding drinks: nothing was offered, we had to wait 20 minutes for the wine list, which we had to request (otherwise we would have waited an hour!). We asked if there was an aperitif available: a timid, even unpleasant, response: "the aperitif of the day" (looking at us as if we were asking for something absurd) – while the other tables clearly had several options. Even with the main courses, not a word, no suggestion, no accompaniment. Even less a smile. Result: we had planned to surprise my husband, to give him his gifts, and we had brought a candle for his birthday dessert, but we didn't feel comfortable, we left even before dessert... Our daughters were disappointed, me Also... The food was good—I admit that—but with such an atmosphere...and such mediocre service...it ruins everything!

08/07/2025: So, I'm basing my opinion solely on what I tasted: the cordon bleu. Especially since it seems to be one of the house's bestsellers. Taste-wise, I was very disappointed. It's far from the delicious cordon bleu one might expect from a homemade dish. While there's plenty to eat (a very generous portion), the dish is bland, especially considering the advertised side dish (including chorizo, which should be a guarantee of bold flavor). The dish is drowned in a creamy veal stock sauce with canned mushrooms. The frozen fries don't really add up. It's a shame, then, especially considering the price. The rest of the menu could be better. Otherwise, the service and setting are impeccable.

08/07/2025: Great restaurant with a pleasant decor, very good food and very friendly staff. It's a shame, however, that meal vouchers are not allowed on Saturday lunchtimes because elsewhere they even take them on Saturday evenings. The only downside...

09/07/2025: A culinary highlight – perfectly organized even with a full house! Our visit to Au Vieux Porche was a complete success. Despite the large number of guests, the service was excellent – ​​everything ran smoothly and without any fuss. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very professional. The non-alcoholic wine we tried also deserves special praise: fruity, fresh, and truly delicious – a great alternative for those who want to enjoy their food consciously. The cozy, typically Alsatian ambiance completes the experience. We'll definitely be back!

03/07/2025: This inn, located slightly off the main street and its tourist crowds, is worth a visit! A large terrace, a warm welcome, an elegant, attentive, and cheerful owner, and a friendly staff; efficient service despite the crowds and reasonable prices. All this to enjoy perfectly executed dishes accompanied by an interesting and enjoyable wine selection by the glass. The menu only needs a touch of extra daring to complete the experience.
