16/09/2026: We discovered this place by sheer chance and what a wonderful experience it was. The electric boat self ride was amazing. No licenses required, can take 4 pax and its very easy to sail it to the castle and back for an hour, passing through the bridge and castle arches. Strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

15/09/2026: A wonderful experience for the whole family, including our two grandchildren and our puppy. We thoroughly enjoyed the boat trip; the one-hour duration allowed plenty of time to admire the scenery, the banks of the Cher River, and of course, the Château de Chenonceau from every angle. The staff at the port were very friendly. I highly recommend it.

25/08/2026: A superb experience at this inn! Everything was perfect, the homemade food was excellent from start to finish. The owner was charming and attentive. We highly recommend this little inn near Chinon, which easily deserves 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 It's a hidden gem!

13/09/2026: If you're ever in Chinon, you absolutely must visit MAJA! From 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM, the first thing that strikes you is the warm smile and welcome from the owner and her team. Then there's the menu, which features high-quality, expertly prepared dishes. A delightful surprise for a popular brasserie located on a beautiful square. 13/05/2026: We had dinner and stayed one night at this establishment and were delighted with our choice. The meal (a seven-course menu for us) was served in a beautiful, contemporary dining room with a view of the surrounding nature. It was flawless, both in terms of the cuisine (refined and inventive) and the service. The only slight criticism was that the portions were a little too generous to truly appreciate the end of the meal and the petit fours offered with coffee. We opted to stay in the cabin-style rooms: an excellent choice! They are very spacious, beautifully decorated, and one of the two had a view of the surrounding nature (unfortunately, the other overlooked the back of the neighbors' house at the end of the garden). The bathroom has a freestanding bathtub and a walk-in shower. Absolutely fantastic!

Don't be put off by the construction work, which might be off-putting at first, but you forget all about it once you're inside. The staff are very friendly, and the dishes are generous and high quality. In short, this restaurant is worth the detour!

11/09/2026: A very wide selection of dishes. The Nordic tartiflette is very original and delicious. A slight drawback is the passersby who can sometimes be a bit noisy, and homeless people sitting right next to the terrace tables…

10/09/2026: The setting is sublime; you can dine in a cave restaurant. The food is very good, cooked over a wood fire right before your eyes. The service is excellent, with helpful advice and a pleasant waitress. If anything, perhaps some background music would be appreciated to make you feel less "alone," because when no one is talking, it's really too quiet.
