16/11/2025: Warmth, authenticity, and true local cuisine A superb discovery! The setting is warm and welcoming, with a convivial atmosphere that immediately makes you want to settle in. The cuisine blends local traditions and modern touches with great skill: flavorful, generous dishes made with excellent ingredients. The presentation of the plates is sophisticated and beautiful. The prices are reasonable for the quality offered, making the experience even more enjoyable. Special mention goes to the smiling and attentive staff, and to the owners, Stéphane and Maryline, who are remarkably kind. You can tell they love what they do, and it shines through in every part of the restaurant. A place you'll definitely want to return to!

21/04/2026: The terrace is sunny, right by the road, but that's not a big deal because the view is lovely. The coffee is very good and the welcome is friendly. Right next door there's a small secondhand shop whose profits go to animal welfare organizations.

07/03/2026: The fish is of superior quality, totally different from what you buy in cheap sushi shops. They served the food fast, were nice to us and gave us a little extra entree for free. Plus, the chef is working right in front of you if you sit at the counter.

18/04/2026: Completely pointless, fries cost an extra €3.50 which entitles you to a free sauce (otherwise it's extra). When you get there, they give you a tiny bit of sauce for two, telling you it's a small sauce to share 🤪 Happy hour? Well, in the end, no, you pay full price... We tried it, but we won't be back because we were still hungry when we left...

17/04/2026: Excellent! First time at this restaurant, it was a delight. The veggie Jack burger was exquisite, and the fries were too. The only downside was the music was a bit too loud. Otherwise, everything else was 10/10.

29/03/2026: This card system is appalling. My money is stuck on the card, and I've renewed it three times already to avoid losing everything after six months. They categorically refuse to reimburse me, claiming it's impossible. Please do something about this or I will file a dispute. Following your response, I already filed a complaint directly with your institution, which categorically refused to reimburse me. This forced me to renew the card, and since I don't want to lose my money, I keep renewing it (as many times as necessary until I get a refund). You say there are no complaints, but I found reviews addressing the same issue, for example this one: "Very disappointed with this bar. The concept is nice, however, you load money onto a card that's only valid for 6 months. After that period, the money on it disappears and you have nothing left in your account. Very annoying when you've put €50 on it." I find this practice "disgusting" simply because of your categorical refusal. You shouldn't be blocking a customer's money on a card; a refund option should be available if the customer wants it. Article L221-5 of the French Consumer Code stipulates that the professional must provide the consumer, before the conclusion of the contract, with all essential information about the goods or services, including the terms of supply, the validity period, and the refund procedures. Article L212-1 of the French Consumer Code stipulates that clauses creating a significant imbalance between the rights and obligations of the parties to a contract, to the detriment of the consumer, are considered unfair. This includes clauses allowing the professional to retain sums paid without actual consideration or equivalent service. A report has been filed on SignalConso, and a dispute resolution request has been sent to you.

11/04/2026: The main courses and appetizers were good, but the quality of the desserts has declined, including a sundae with two scoops of ice cream that were already half melted. The service was very slow, about two hours, even though there were only three of us and it wasn't busy. A smile from one of the waitresses seemed to be optional. Overall, disappointed, especially considering the high prices.

30/03/2026: Excellent food. Everything is homemade. Kudos to the chef and thank you to the team; their kindness and professionalism were undeniable. The restaurant's dining room is pleasant. We will definitely be back.

18/03/2026: A bistronomic cuisine, very well served, very good food, I highly recommend it. No other restaurant near Château Lavallière is worth it. All the best.

05/04/2026: Lunch with a set menu (main course + dessert) is available. The dishes are tastefully presented on beautiful plates, and the floral touch adds a lovely touch. The service is pleasant, with an all-female kitchen team. The restaurant also offers beers, wines, and spirits.

31/03/2026: I highly recommend the hand-cut steak tartare; it's absolutely divine! I didn't have a beer as an aperitif (it was a business lunch), even though the selection and quality of beers are incredible. I asked for water and got my own carafe of water all to myself 😉 The service was impeccable, with a touch of humor that made for a wonderful experience. I'll be back in September, as I won't be in the area at the moment.

15/04/2026: Excellent value for money. The products are high quality and very tasty. We were just passing through and stopped there by chance. We weren't disappointed. The beef was excellent and perfectly cooked. The mayonnaise was homemade; I was blown away. The starter (pictured), a fish terrine, was excellent and very fresh. All this for a very reasonable price.

The shrimp rillettes with mango: sauce and small pieces of mango We thoroughly enjoyed them. Good, cold local beer 👍 I highly recommend this restaurant. It's just a shame the name is "Café Chaud" (Hot Coffee). The name doesn't reflect the quality of the food. Thank you to the two chefs. Well done!
