26/03/2026: Two years later, I'm still thinking about that plate… and not in a good way.
€20 for this? What kind of restaurant is this, or some kind of culinary illusion?
Half the plate is hummus spread out like plaster to give the illusion of volume (special mention for the hole in the middle that reveals the plate… not even enough to be convincing).
Next to it, a mountain of salad clearly there to fill the space, to mask the emptiness of the rest.
And the “main course”?
Half a dry merguez sausage, a few stray pieces of meat, two spoonfuls of bulgur, and five cubes of potato fighting for space.
So, to sum up:
* 75% cheap filler
* 25% actual food (and even that's debatable…) At that price, it's not a plate, it's a strategy.
The worst part isn't even the quantity. It feels like they're clearly trying to take you for a fool.
Two years later, I've never gone back. And given the effort they put into padding the plate rather than feeding the customer, that's not likely to change anytime soon.

11/02/2026: So I had a ribeye steak with new potatoes and roasted garlic, it was excellent, honestly, nothing to complain about. Go there, you won't be disappointed! The two waitresses, Emma and Nada, were exceptional and gave me a very warm welcome and excellent service.
I've never been disappointed by this restaurant!

09/12/2025: The waitress was perfect.
As for the food, the lamb mechoui was very good; however, the kebab had too much fat and too many spices. Even though it was labeled harissa, it would have been better to add the spice icon next to the dish.
However, after a brief complaint, we were served a new meat dish without spices or fat, free of charge. So it was great, thank you very much.

17/01/2026: Nice restaurant, with a friendly welcome. I didn't give it 5 stars because I thought there was a bit of a lack of vegetables, but that won't stop me from going back.
12/01/2026: I had dinner at this restaurant a few days ago. The food was good, however, the service leaves much to be desired. The waiter wasn't very friendly or smiling, which somewhat marred the experience. It's a shame, because the quality of the food deserves a warmer welcome. With more attentive and pleasant service, the experience would be much better.

25/02/2026: We arrived on February 25th at 7 PM.
An unfriendly man greeted us.
I politely asked if we could change tables because it was cold and there were NO other tables available. This rude man sighed before replying, "If I have to turn on the heat, I have to turn it on everywhere," adding that all the other tables were taken.
I noticed that this person didn't want to serve us, so we left the restaurant, which was already empty when we arrived, and went to the halal sushi place across the street, where the staff were much more friendly and helpful.
08/02/2026: Very disappointed. The service was extremely unpleasant and the food very mediocre. As for the atmosphere, it's anything but Moroccan. Avoid at all costs.

Family atmosphere, professional service and friendly welcome, excellent value for money.
Excellent cuisine with delicious meals and their lamb méchoui is delicious.

The couscous was good, but I was surprised by all the vegetables in the tagine, which was a bit of a disappointment.
The restaurant is clean, the decor is simple, and the service is friendly.

From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like royalty, and the ocean-view suites offered breathtaking sunset panoramas. The Michelin-starred restaurant served some of the most refined Provençal cuisine I’ve ever tasted, with ingredients that clearly celebrated the region’s terroir. Even in late December, the heated outdoor pool and serene spa made for a perfect winter escape. Truly a five-star sanctuary where discretion and beauty go hand in hand.
18/12/2025: A remarkable dinner at La Voile. Attentive service and impeccable attention to detail. The cuisine is refined, creative, and perfectly executed. A top-tier gastronomic experience, worthy of the setting.

11/02/2026: When you feel like you haven’t been out for a month due to the rain and cold, and you finally get a decent dog walk in, and you walk back towards home via the Polygone Shopping Centre and decide to stop and people-watch in one of the upstairs bars. A happy hour board catches your eye. Okay, here! That’s innovative! You stop with your pooch and ask for a glass of Sauvignon.
A paucity of other people both within the establishment and outside leads to not much people-watching, so the bill is requested. Unfortunately, it seems it’s the customers role to get up and go inside and find the till to pay the bill. One glass of Sauvignon, €6! No Happy Hour price there! And more than the average town centre price too! And here is where this whole sorry story could have been saved, but arrogantly wasn’t.
To be admonishingly informed that the Sauvignon wasn’t in the Happy Hour wine, but the Chardonnay was, and that this was clearly written on the board outside. Yet to not be informed of that upon ordering… not cool. Not cool at all.
To then be patronised for my incredulity at the price, to the point of being told to look at my receipt where “Madame, it clearly says €6”!
Tired of this attitude towards customers in the hospitality industry, one’s brain immediately turns to Google reviews… taking a photo of the happy hour board, I notice that actually the happy hour wine is a Viognier and not a Chardonnay. So even the ‘patron’ising chap inside was wrong!
Is it any wonder that so many of the restaurants are boarded up along that upper Polygone promenade, with this seemingly homogeneously haughty attitude to clients? Is this rooted in lazy, unrecognised zenophobia? Or touristophobia? An assumption that my business doesn’t matter because I am but a fleeting Euro in their dwindling coffers? Well, that’s rather disingenuous of them. I’ve probably lived here longer than that ‘patron’. Although I have to say, unless the hospitality attitudes pick up, I won’t both staying for another quarter century, that’s for sure..

20/03/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant! 💛 I went with my sweetheart and we had an amazing time. The couscous was simply divine: generous, fragrant, and perfectly cooked 😋. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere very welcoming; we felt right at home. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes! 👌✨
14/03/2026: Despite a very warm welcome, the takeaway couscous (€21) was not good. The lamb chops were overcooked, the sauce was very greasy, and the merguez sausage was low quality. A shame.

30/12/2025: Passing through Barcarès, we had lunch at La Cuisine des Filles; a wonderful experience. The welcome was incredibly warm and the food was excellent.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the dessert ☺️
