16/09/2025: Tourist trap! We ordered a 'charcuterie board' for €24. The waitress asked us if we wanted it as a starter or a main course. We chose it as a main course, thinking we'd get a more generous portion... The result: a simple plate with barely eight small pieces of charcuterie, nothing like a real board. It's a good thing we added a bowl of fries (€4 extra). What a disappointment, especially after reading all the rave reviews of this restaurant...

30/12/2025: We had a wonderful lunch here. Service was excellent and attentive, the food was delicious, well cooked and well presented. We both choose from the set menu at €20.90 for 2 courses or 3 courses for €24.90 which was excellent value. The fish of the day in saffron sauce was cooked beautifully and the toasted cheese with honey and almond was great. Oysters were succulent as were the mussels. We shared the Ile Flottante with is light and fluffy meringue. We did not book, and were lucky to get a table, would strongly recommend you book in advance.

29/05/2026: A centrally located hotel, overall not bad. The rooms we booked were really small, and for two, it felt cramped. The lobby was also very narrow and unwelcoming. The restaurant where we dined every evening was good, but the menu was a bit monotonous. The staff, what can I say? Friendly, but not very efficient. Overall, not bad, but I've stayed better in other hotels here in Menton.

11/04/2026: It was a fantastic experience to have dinner here! Perhaps the best dinner we had during our stay in Paris! We encountered truly exotic flavors, and the view is not to be missed if you order a tagine! The canard tagine is fantastic with dates and peaches, and the kefta tagine is delicious with beautifully seasoned beef balls. The staff is nice, although a bit boho, but that also adds to the atmosphere! Thank you for the experience!

19/05/2026: A very good restaurant on the Old Port. We ordered two fish and chips and they were both excellent. The service was very quick and quite pleasant. I recommend it if you're in the area.

17/04/2026: The place is very cute and the concept is interesting, which makes the experience promising at first glance. However, the welcome was very disappointing. We were greeted by the owner, who barely said hello and had a rather unfriendly attitude. When I asked about a bottle, I clearly felt like I was bothering him. Furthermore, there's a €15 surcharge per bottle for service, but it's practically nonexistent: I had to refill my own glass throughout the tasting. The overall impression is cold and unwelcoming. It's a shame, because it discouraged us from staying for the charcuterie boards, and we opted instead to go to a warmer establishment in Mougins.

05/05/2026: I had a very good experience at Le Pirate restaurant where I had lunch, opting for the set menu (main course + dessert). The terrace overlooking the port is very pleasant, with comfortable armchairs. The welcome and service were very friendly, though a little slow if you're in a hurry, but that wasn't the case for me! The cheeseburger I chose was very good, served with fries and salad, making it a very satisfying meal. For dessert, I had the profiterole, which was generously sized and which I also enjoyed.

13/05/2026: Honestly, the food is good, but I get the impression that it's fully booked every day, as if we were in Monaco. Empty tables and a little man at the entrance who looks you up and down and tells you it's full! I didn't know they could treat customers so condescendingly, so I won't be coming back.

15/04/2026: Always a very warm welcome, and have been for decades; for me, it's the best couscous in the entire Metz region, and the staff are fantastic, going out of their way for their customers! 💖🫶

07/06/2026: A very, very bad experience at this restaurant. The pizzas tasted like frozen pizzas. We ordered a beer, and it arrived with dessert. I absolutely do not recommend it. Completely inedible and very expensive. Flunch is better.
