26/04/2026: Excellent place. Everything is delicious, the atmosphere is very pleasant.

16/04/2026: Friendly service but rather disappointing food, at least the vegan options. The portions were generous but bland: I felt like I was eating supermarket spring rolls, and the vegetable and tofu stir-fry had very little flavor. Expensive for the quality offered.

08/03/2026: Reservation for 15 people. The first course was served in a typical Portuguese dish, but the cod was completely cold. We waited an hour. The rest of the meal arrived almost cold as well. (The rice was cold.) The first person served had almost finished eating before the last person was served. The fruit juice was 8 months past its expiration date. As a replacement, we were given juice that had expired a month prior. We hadn't even finished eating when they came to ask us how we were going to pay. They didn't know if we wanted dessert or coffee. The waitress was clearly a beginner. She didn't even know what syrup they had. And don't even get me started on the wine. There was no snack to tide us over during the aperitif. We had to ask for it (they also didn't think to ask if we wanted a starter). I could have understood if they had been overwhelmed with customers, but there were only two other people in the restaurant. So don't go there... For the price, I think you can find better.

13/02/2026: The cod was of poor quality; I only got the carcass. The fries were far too salty. Furthermore, the prices are much too high. The woman was completely lost, both with the service and when it came time to pay. We will not be returning.

27/04/2026: I was quite surprised by the prices at this establishment. Offering a €25 plate of average-quality meat with frozen fries is unacceptable. At that price, you'd expect a full meal (starter, main course, cheese, dessert), or at the very least, better quality, homemade ingredients. Here, the quality is more like a worker's lunch menu, but without the price tag. A price of around €17 or €18 for a full meal would be much more reasonable. At €25 a plate, you clearly expect better meat and fresher sides, which isn't the case. On the plus side, the atmosphere is pleasant, there's a terrace for outdoor dining, dogs are welcome, and the service is good. Be prepared to pay cash, though; they don't accept credit cards.

06/03/2026: Visited today. The owner has a great sense of humor, and the young woman serving was very kind and attentive. The menu was much appreciated (special mention for the homemade red wine sauce), and we also wanted to acknowledge the chef. A very pleasant experience; we'll be back! (Price shown below includes aperitif, meal, wine, and coffee.)

11/12/2025: Avoid this place if you're having a package delivered. I didn't receive mine because they claimed it was buried under a pile of packages. Clearly, they're just too lazy.

10/12/2025: I came to pick up a package, and since they don't know how to organize themselves, I left without it, even though it was an urgent package.

22/02/2026: What a surprise to find ourselves back in the 1990s! Nothing has changed. Same decor, same bathroom. It's high time they brought it up to date. As for the food, it was bland. The buildings are in a deplorable state. It's a shame, but we won't be returning to the Campanile.

18/02/2026: A stay at the Campanile in Thiers followed a certain internal logic. The bathroom was marred by visible mold on the walls, grout, and behind the towels, creating a constantly damp atmosphere. While the bathroom did have heating, its switch moved freely and wasn't connected to anything, rendering any attempt to turn it on futile, even in cold weather. Overall, this demonstrates a particularly questionable level of maintenance and consideration for guest comfort. Not recommended.

28/04/2026: Reasonable prices and good quality, smiling and friendly staff

18/04/2026: I ordered a mint chocolate milkshake, and it turned out to be a scoop of ice cream with stale milk added on top. I call that a "mint milk" (a play on words, as "L'OL" is a French expression meaning "the Lyon bar"). Really disappointed.

04/05/2026: I'm rarely so disappointed. Not all prices were displayed, the selection was very limited, the cookies were overcooked and sold at the regular price. I wanted to eat in: no napkins, no cutlery, cardboard "tableware," construction work was being done in the shop in broad daylight while customers were eating there, and the tray was carelessly thrown about. The saleswoman was barely friendly and not very welcoming, and she wasn't very customer-oriented (no menu or special offers were presented). My dessert was tasteless and dry. My sandwich was small for the price. The dining area, however, was pleasant and enjoyable. The storefront is a sorry sight. I was served quickly.

27/04/2026: Great bakery, the saleswoman is very pleasant and the cookies are excellent.

19/02/2026: Very disappointed. You call at 11:30 am, opening hours, to place an order, and the guy tells you he can only make pizzas at noon because he can't. It's really not very customer-friendly. Then they tell you you're not supporting small businesses.

29/11/2025: We just stopped by the bar for a coffee and a crepe, the interior is nice and cozy, the gentleman who served us was kind and polite, that's all we asked for so thank you.

22/11/2025: At the beginning of September, we stopped for a drink... a glass of wine and a rosé for 7.5 euros! Luckily, it wasn't August anymore 😄

25/04/2026: I only gave one star because I can't give less... We came as a group and received a rather frosty welcome... If large tables aren't suitable, they shouldn't accept reservations at all. Then the person who took charge of our table had to recount the number of people five times, as if we had lied about the number of guests. The children were then interrogated about their ages. There were problems with the drink order (a Fanta was brought instead of a cocktail), and we felt like we were being scolded again. My mother (who has reduced mobility) wanted to pay for my drinks and had to stand at the bar for a while because preparing drinks for all the customers (even a small number) was more important than attending to a woman for whom standing is difficult. Up to this point, if it had just been a human error, it would have been fine, but let's talk about the food... First of all, there are very few options for vegetarians, and the few that are available are... The vegetables were cooked, and the meat lids were moved on top (to refill the dishes or for customers to serve themselves), so it was impossible for me to eat without risking getting meat juice or even a piece of meat mixed in with my vegetables. One of my friends wanted to order a beef and cheese skewer, but the skewers were frozen. I didn't dare try the grill since my friends told me the woks were barely rinsed between uses (I'm still vegetarian...). I wanted to try the sushi, but there were no more fish-free options. When I asked if it was possible to order more, we were politely told "No." And I'll finish with the cream puff, which wasn't fresh and was far too expensive for what it was... 14/04/2026: Since the change of management, there's been a serious decline, especially regarding hygiene! Yesterday, many dishes were empty, almost all of them barely lukewarm. You could clearly see the leftovers from the weekend: sushi piled up, squashed, and dried out! Many dishes looked like they'd been reheated multiple times. The plates were almost all dirty! You can't even wash your hands in the restrooms; one has more handwashing products than the other! Disappointed! And the hygiene of the dining area... I won't even mention it, with food on the walls and cobwebs everywhere. Cleaning must be an option!
