17/10/2026: It's Saturday, October 17th, and we're no longer in the heatwave. And yet, the air conditioning was working, but it was freezing cold, like a duck's back, not very pleasant. Think of the elderly and those who are sensitive to the cold. Nevertheless, the welcome was very warm, the staff excellent, nothing to complain about there.

16/08/2026: Passing through on August 14th, we ate at your inn. The service was very good and the staff friendly. We ordered the escargots as a starter (we were very disappointed by this one; the snails were tiny and there was practically no escargot butter). The beef was decent, and so was my wife's burger. We were a little surprised when the bill arrived: the dessert, which should have been included in our set menu, was charged separately. It's a shame because the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming.

14/09/2026: We had a good time, but be aware the dining room is noisy. The meal was good. One small complaint about the dish we ordered (Welche au Saint-Nectaire): it was described as having an old-fashioned mustard sauce, which is true, but it was far too overpowering. It completely masked the flavor of the rest of the dish, and it was supposed to have a slice of artisanal country bread at the bottom, which it wasn't; it was a slice of white bread. The desserts, chocolate fondant and French toast, were very good, and the appetizer, a small charcuterie board to share (which wasn't actually that small), was perfect. Sincerely,

12/09/2026: We came last year at the very beginning of July, as we were staying in a nearby hotel. The food was really very good, the terrace was nice... But... Of course, there's a big but! The manager was incredibly unpleasant! The young woman who came to help was lovely, no complaints there! But then there was the tall, thin woman (who I assume is the manager, given the disdainful tone she uses with the waiters) – a disaster! We gritted our teeth so she wouldn't ruin our vacation, since we were all just passing through town... Our vacation had only just begun for us. We came back this year... Same place, same hotel, same town! Since we had eaten well, and not holding a grudge, we decided to give it another chance.... Madam, change jobs if you're not happy. You clearly ruined our experience. I'm giving it 2 stars (and even then, I'm forcing myself, but I'm raising the bar thanks to the young woman who served us and the food!). But madam, you deserve a -10.... The only smile we received was when we took the bill... In any case, twice... But we won't be giving it a third chance. What a shame... There's potential there. In short, if you want to have a good time, go somewhere else....

11/10/2026: A very good place to enjoy a fondue. The only slight drawback, completely unrelated to the food, was the state of the restrooms when the restaurant opened...

12/09/2026: I bought two croque monsieur sandwiches, but the chicken was spoiled. I told the person who worked there, but they didn't know what to tell me. What a shame.

22/10/2026: Yesterday we had a group meal with our senior citizens' club at this establishment, which we already know from previous meals. We had chosen our menu in advance. We were truly spoiled with generous portions and excellent quality. We were served by wonderful young people who were attentive, insightful, kind, and gracious—words fail me to describe how well we were received. You can count on us to come back again and again. 16/09/2026: I had lunch at this restaurant on the recommendation of friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The daily special was delicious, the portions were generous, and the dining room was spacious. I highly recommend going there.

18/10/2026: I'm blown away by the selection! It ranges from cooked to raw, from wok to griddle, with an abundance of desserts and main courses (including frog legs, snails, and scallops). How do they manage to maintain such freshness and variety for €23? We saw some young people who probably came to eat a steak they cooked themselves, something they clearly couldn't afford at Carrefour. Incredible. Thank you.

10/10/2026: A very bad experience. We arrived as a group of three without a reservation, and when we got there they told us it was full, even though there were plenty of empty tables.

22/10/2026: The service was good and the setting was both comfortable and quiet. The food was satisfactory, although not my favorite compared to other establishments I've visited.

20/09/2026: The food is still tasty, especially the spring rolls and soups; however, the atmosphere has been quite neutral since the previous owner left, and there's also a very long wait for service – definitely something that needs to be addressed!

23/08/2026: We loved it, very warm welcome. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is old and full of charm.

03/06/2026: A comfortable, simply furnished hotel, perfect for a stopover from May 28th to 29th for two couples. We enjoyed a good evening meal featuring melted cheese and a good breakfast with local products. There's a private, gated parking lot opposite the hotel, and we were very pleased with the advice we received about visiting the menhir in the park via the path behind the hotel, and about finding the farms in Beau-le-Froid that sell delicious farm-made Saint-Nectaire cheese. Thank you for your hospitality.

21/10/2026: We came with the children as a family and had a very good experience. A good place to eat with the family. Very good beer, quick service. A good brewery.

20/10/2026: The security guard wasn't very nice. Plus, those knuckle-duster gloves really scare me. I'll go to the competition, Hypopotamus, next time because I can play cards there.

23/09/2026: A lovely place where I had lunch with my colleagues. The service was efficient, with little to no wait, which made dining out more enjoyable. The interior is pleasant, and we appreciated the covered terrace during this month of September. We appreciated having several menu options and a reasonable price for the set menu, which motivates us to return and confirm our positive impression.

31/07/2026: A restaurant tucked away from the street, not on the main road. Friendly welcome. The menu is limited, there aren't 50 choices, but it features fresh, seasonal produce and is full of flavor. Allergy information is excellent. Nice decor. I recommend it.
