19/01/2026: Love there pizza, have been ordering with them almost every week from last 5 years now!!!

12/12/2025: We ordered pizzas before a show next door for the end of the performance. When we arrived, the pizzas had just been made, so we were all set! And as a bonus, a focaccia as a gift. A huge thank you again, we thoroughly enjoyed them!

01/03/2026: We returned a second time, thinking that our first experience might have been a fluke, especially since the meat is truly excellent and the value for money remains outstanding. However, the reception was rather off-putting, with a manager who was somewhat curt in her interactions. The service also left much to be desired, probably because there clearly aren't enough waitresses to properly staff the dining room. Unfortunately, our interaction with the manager once again put us off. It's a shame, because the quality of the food deserves a welcome and service to match.

27/02/2026: We've been regulars at La Courte Paille for years. We recently had lunch there, and the meat was still good, even better than before, despite a limited menu. However, the service really leaves much to be desired. The staff aren't attentive to the customer; their attire and shoes are mediocre at best and poorly maintained. What's more, the staff constantly talk amongst themselves in the dining room in front of customers waiting to order. They're imprecise and inattentive when serving the food. What a difference from what we experienced before Covid, when the staff were top-notch, efficient, welcoming, and quick.

06/02/2026: This was definitely the best meal we ate during our stay in Nice. The fish was very fresh and perfectly prepared. Our fritto misto was very lightly battered and fried. The atmosphere , right on the port, is really charming. It’s a little out if the way but well worth a detour.

15/12/2025: ❌❌I will never eat at this restaurant! I have no idea about the quality of the food, but the waiters are aggressive (a small blonde woman and a dark-haired man in their forties). My mother and I were verbally attacked by their friend, the owner of the restaurant “Le Serre,” and without even trying to understand the situation, they came and yelled at us to defend her, even though she was, of course, indefensible. Therefore, it's best to avoid this establishment to punish their indefensible behavior towards customers.

12/10/2025: Great place and service 🧡 The food was also really delicious, however the profiterole was a bit dry so that takes the stars down. BUT we will come again and would definitely recommend the place.

29/11/2025: Two passionate food and service enthusiasts are here solely to delight the palates of customers who know how to wait patiently for their turn. And with good reason! The aromas wafting from the ovens are an experience in themselves! The chef works in the dim light, armed with his long peel, which he uses to load the large trays of socca into the oven. He prepares his dough fresh daily, and it's easy to see why. It's simply perfect. The toppings are equally exquisite. And if the pizza you want isn't available, order another. You'll then experience the joy of discovery. In short, grumpy locals and complaining tourists, keep walking! Let honest customers enjoy the journey these artists have to make.

05/03/2026: I have mixed feelings; I was disappointed because the portions were really small! The starter was supposedly a plate of smoked salmon, but it was just about ten small squares of raw salmon swimming in dill, and not even a small salad to go with it! The smoked trout was very good, but for eight people, just a small plate of roasted potatoes was very meager. I went home hungry! The set menus are very expensive for what you actually get on your plate. The service was too slow, even though the manager was friendly: Hire a waiter!! The atmosphere was pleasant, although despite the heater near the table, I was very cold!

09/02/2026: A place I adore and have been coming to for almost 20 years. Because the smoked trout cooked in the fireplace right in front of you is absolutely divine, because the cozy dining room is dimly lit and steeped in history, because the terrace in summer offers a view you won't find anywhere else in Saint Paul. And because the owner, a tall Dane with long blond hair (just as you imagine them!), is the keeper of the many memories of this place, which has a long history. And where I hope to return for many years to come.

28/02/2026: If you dream of castle romance, you'll find it here! Views stretching to the sea, lovingly furnished rooms, and friendly hoteliers. Parking in the large (free) car park is highly recommended.

Every visit is an exceptional experience: refined, perfectly executed dishes that showcase high-quality local produce and artisans, all with perfectly balanced flavors. The staff is incredibly warm, always attentive, and genuinely concerned about the well-being of their guests. As for Cyril, he is passionate, kind, and deeply committed to the establishment. His presence and professionalism greatly contribute to making each meal a memorable experience. All this with exceptional quality for a gourmet restaurant of this caliber. A must-visit that I wholeheartedly recommend. For many years, this restaurant has been a welcome respite for me.
