03/03/2026: Nice, but could be better. I'm taking the time to write a long review because this restaurant has real potential! The Caesar salad, for example, isn't complicated: you need good ingredients. Here, the tomatoes (in winter!!) aren't ripe and are certainly full of pesticides. The salad isn't very flavorful... I know, we'll say that's typical, but it's the main ingredient. The chicken nuggets are well-prepared but there's too much of them, and they don't taste like real chicken (you can tell it's factory-farmed). A good free-range chicken is good, though, and it's better when you know the animal had a decent life. In 2026, we won't care anymore. The Parmesan is the cheapest kind... but good Parmesan is good. That's also what you expect from a Caesar salad. The sauce is okay but lacks anchovies (traditional in this recipe). The croutons taste of nothing but the frying oil they've soaked through. It's a shame because it's immediately obvious that you've chosen to reduce the quality of the ingredients to increase your profit margins, and we don't want to experience that when we go to a restaurant. Yet, the cooking itself is excellent. You should reduce the amount of chicken and Parmesan, remove the fresh tomatoes (perhaps replace them with homemade sun-dried tomatoes when they're out of season), spice up the sauce a bit, and highlight the quality of the ingredients. When we go to a restaurant, even at this price, we want to eat artisanal, handmade food, local and organic products that respect the customer, the kitchen, and the entire production chain. Otherwise, I'll just buy the same salad at Monoprix in a pre-packaged container and serve it on a plate to make it look like I'm at home. ON THE POSITIVE: The wine by the glass was good, the roasted Camembert was good (the bread was a bit too toasty), and the gourmet coffee was good. The service was impeccable and the setting very pleasant (I appreciated the few comic books available). Everything was clean and nicely decorated.

03/10/2025: Ma Yucca offers authentic Japanese food while remaining true to where it is based in Nice. There is a lunch menu available even on Saturdays that is an excellent value - miso soup, starter, main and dessert for €28. I had the mini dumplings to start followed by a nicely sized piece of salmon followed by a pear tart on a ground nut base. My guest started with the salad, had salmon chirashi next and the rice pudding for dessert. Two thumbs up for each of his dishes. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were just right. Reservations are recommended. Highly recommend this Japanese restaurant for its fish, for its starters and desserts.

22/02/2026: Last night was a disappointment. From the moment we arrived, the waiter was in a rush to answer the phone to fill his evening instead of taking the time to seat us properly. We were expecting an explosion of flavors, which we didn't really get. Furthermore, the stifling heat in the adjoining room, which had the sole advantage of being tastefully decorated, spoiled the experience. The only positive point was the young waitress, who was very friendly and professional. What a shame.
