16/08/2026: I'd been a customer of this bakery for a few years. Since the renovations and presumably the change of ownership, prices have gone up and the quality isn't the same for many products. The bread isn't as good as it used to be, and neither are the cakes.

16/08/2026: 🕊️ UPDATE 08/14/2026 — The Turtledove has returned to one of its favorite nests… but this time, a few feathers were ruffled! 🪶😅 After being closed for about a month for renovations, naturally, curiosity got the better of it: the Turtledove simply had to come and discover this brand-new, beautiful, and spotless bakery. ✨ And indeed, the decor has definitely been revamped. But upon arriving in front of the pastry display… 🤦‍♀️ The Turtledove had a serious sense of déjà vu! Because let's be clear: for me, this remains one of the best bakeries and pastry shops in Antibes. The quality and expertise are there, and it's precisely because I appreciate this establishment so much that I'd like to see it push its boundaries even further. It had been a while since I'd been back, and I was hoping to take advantage of this reopening to discover some new creations. Unfortunately, I found a selection of pastries very similar to what I already knew. And after a while, even when the products are excellent, seeing the same items over and over again gets tiresome. 🕊️ So, La Tourterelle is issuing a little challenge: now that you've refreshed the shop... why not breathe new life into the display case? 🪺✨ New creations, some seasonal pastries, limited editions, bolder combinations... surprise us! You have the skill to do it. Especially since, without naming names 😉, some of our colleagues nearby aren't afraid to take risks, refresh their offerings, and regularly pique our curiosity. 🪶 The Turtledove's verdict: the talent is still there, the quality too… but now she'd like some new treats to nibble on! The Turtledove will therefore continue to settle in this nest she loves so much… but now she's waiting for someone to surprise her. 🕊️🥐🪺

05/10/2026: I had already tried this establishment shortly after the change of ownership at the beginning of the year, and I was very disappointed. Whether it was the food or the service, I unfortunately didn't find what had previously made this place so charming and reputable. I deliberately waited until the end of the season before forming a final opinion, thinking that a change of ownership takes time and that they deserved a second chance. So I tried again on Saturday, for their Spanish night. Unfortunately, second attempt and the same result. The paella served that evening was, for us, simply inedible: far too overcooked, with the impression that it had simmered and waited for hours. The service was completely disorganized, unprofessional, and, even more disturbingly, particularly haughty when we expressed our dissatisfaction. Rather than trying to understand or find a solution, some of the responses were frankly unpleasant. A bad experience can happen at any restaurant, and that's precisely why I wanted to return several months later. But after two such disappointing experiences at different times, I won't be going back a third time. They say "third time's the charm"... this time, I'll stop at two. It's especially a shame to see a place that was once a true institution lose so much of what made it unique and reputable.

17/09/2026: Although it is kosher... the food is mediocre, salty, and delicious. The level has dropped prices sky-high. There is Japanese food but they don't serve it because they ordered it by phone and there is no time for people there. Don't go near it... the food is processed and expensive. Stay away Israelis because you will regret it. It's a shame. Avoid...

04/09/2026: The products are good. The staff are always friendly. I always come back satisfied. Even their "Too Good Go" baskets are well-stocked.

07/09/2026: The customer service is deplorable, there is a lack of organization with orders, I waited 15 minutes for two banquettes and croissants (I suspect the croissants were baked the day before…) I miss the days of the previous managers, it is unfortunate we are located outside the city centre and are victims of this situation.

04/09/2026: I just bought a pan bagnat, and it's missing radishes, spring onions, celery, anchovies, and peppers—that's a lot... :-) It does have tuna, tomatoes, two slices of egg, lettuce, and three olives. There's been a decline in both quality and quantity at this bakery, which I've been going to for several years. A burger for €6.50 with poor-quality meat that was only 3 cm thick. The last one I had was a good, lean butcher's steak—what a shame!

29/08/2026: We found this pizzeria online, near our campsite. The prices seemed attractive, so we ordered by phone. When we went to pick up our order, the prices were a third higher (€15 instead of €10). And when I presented my credit card, the man became less friendly and told us he only accepted cash. I expressed my surprise at the prices listed on the website. He replied that it was the old pizzeria. Yet the pizzas on the menu were presumably the same. The late hour forced us to order them; otherwise, we would have gone somewhere else. So, not very friendly and false advertising.

19/06/2026: Small place to buy sweet or savory bread 🥖🥐🍞, I loved the fresh and crusty baguette, also some mini pastries (I don't remember the French name) but I liked everything I tried, good prices, I recommend it

05/07/2026: It's 6:50 PM, the desserts are still on display and the coffee machines are still running. The woman, who seems busy with her phone, tells me that it's been closed since 6:30 PM, despite the sign saying it closes at 8:00 PM. I'm a regular customer, but I won't be back.

11/09/2026: We had a reserved table inside on a Saturday night. Upon arrival, we noticed that the round table was moving a lot. After pointing it out, we were simply told that "that's just how it is" and that nothing could be done about it. A waiter eventually explained that management was aware of the problem but didn't want to change the table. Looking at the reviews, we also saw that we weren't the first customers to report it. For a bill of €520, it's quite frustrating to have to eat in these conditions. In short, a disappointing experience.

04/09/2026: I went on holiday to Antibes and my friend and I ate the best Lebanese food. Francisco, aka Franky, treated us like royalty; the service was top-notch! I highly recommend it!

21/08/2026: Absolutely avoid! I first went to La Régence in La Turbie about a year ago, on an invitation. Unfortunately, I went back this week, only because a friend wanted to chat quietly in a quiet place. And we certainly got what we asked for: there was practically no one there, apart from a few regulars who were mainly there to drink. Let me be perfectly clear: in my opinion, this establishment absolutely does not deserve to be called a restaurant. The place gave me an impression of being outdated, poorly maintained, and having an unhealthy atmosphere. Even the desire to go in is dilapidated. On the semi-enclosed terrace, between the regulars, dogs, and even a stroller, it was frankly chaotic and unpleasant. As for the food, it's simply unbelievable: only two dishes on the menu: wood-fired pizza or grilled chicken. No appetizers, no desserts. I very clearly asked the waiter if the pizza was actually homemade, especially the dough. He confirmed that yes, it was homemade dough and cooked in a wood-fired oven. The result after about a 20-minute wait: a huge disappointment. The dough was, in my opinion, clearly undercooked, with an unpleasant texture and so thin that the slice was practically indestructible. The attached photos speak for themselves. My friend ordered a chicken leg, served with just a few salad leaves, without any real side dish or sauce. A plate of disconcerting simplicity and meagerness. The service and the staff's demeanor did little to reassure me about the establishment's professionalism. The overall impression was one of carelessness and a lack of professionalism. In short: a disastrous experience from beginning to end. Atmosphere, condition of the premises, service, and food: nothing made me want to return. Personally, I will never set foot in that place again, and I strongly advise against it for anyone seeking even a modicum of quality, choice, and professionalism. Avoid it at all costs.
