16/12/2024: “An unforgettable feast at L’Escale Gourmande in Trappes” Last Thursday, we celebrated our company Christmas meal at L’Escale Gourmande in Trappes, and I must say that this evening exceeded all our expectations. Despite the 50 guests, the organization was perfect and the atmosphere warm. From the aperitif, the evening began with elegance: a glass of Champagne or Kir accompanied by carefully prepared cocktail pieces. Then came the starter, where we had the choice between a delicious butternut, carrot and chestnut tatin or a crispy prawn chaplain, both beautifully presented and rich in flavor. As a main course, the duck breast topped with foie gras sauce and accompanied by a tender potato gratin and a pan of mushrooms was simply divine. For fish lovers, the sea bass fillet with its pepper coulis and creamy polenta offered a perfect combination of finesse and deliciousness. Finally, dessert was the final touch to an already memorable evening: between the chocolate pod with a caramel and hazelnut center and the Bourbon crème brûlée tartlet, the choice was difficult as both options were irresistible. Beyond the exceptional quality of the dishes, it is above all the warm welcome and the impeccable service that left their mark. 20/08/2024: We simply wanted to have a drink on the terrace at the end of the afternoon but this is not accessible without going through the entrance to the casino which is prohibited for minors. Here we are all turned away before we even finish going through the main door. The person in charge of the entrance did not take the time to say anything other than "entry is prohibited for minors" the sight of our stroller even when we expressed our wish to enjoy the catering and the outdoor bars without going through the slot machines…

Soft and very long service, cold burger, water cassoulet (in a can), fries soaked in oil. Despite the remarks made to the manager, he did not listen and remained in his positions. 30/01/2025: The old Lille institution pubstore is a real journey through time, as much for its decor as for the music or the play on words that name the dishes (I love it)!!! The cuisine is tasty, based on fresh, quality products, we had a great time 😋. The only downside was that the waitress was particularly unpleasant and apparently annoyed at serving our group on this weekday evening when the restaurant was almost empty… She gets the bill wrong and angrily asks us: we're going to have to pay the difference!! It’s completely normal, but there are ways to say it, especially when the mistake is on your part… I still recommend the establishment, but the service is part of the service, pay attention 😉

17/06/2025: Here, all the products are fresh! Their tiramisu is one of the best I've ever eaten. Even in Italy, they rarely do better than that.

15/06/2025: We were treated like royalty! 😎 9 adults and 5 young children, all in great shape: the staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially with the little ones! The meals were also excellent, and homemade, nothing frozen! We highly recommend and highly recommend!!! 😃

28/08/2024: Nice decor and good atmosphere in a country spirit. Welcome and friendly staff, fast service. I enjoyed the Mexican octopus, the salmon was also excellent. On the other hand, the low rib was not good (nervous meat), the fries were not cooked and the duck breast fillet was just in quantity. We had a good evening nonetheless.
