27/11/2025: A wonderful discovery! 😍 Full meal for €17.50 Aperitif, starter, main course, dessert, coffee The daily special was very good. Only downside: A bit noisy during peak hours.

08/11/2025: Unbeatable value for money! For two people, we had a starter, main course, dessert, and drink for €35 in total, and the welcome was incredibly warm. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by; it's truly excellent value for money.

29/01/2026: We had a table reserved in advance, but upon arrival, we were told that not everything was available and that only a very limited list of ingredients was available, due to upcoming renovations (why be open then?). The service was mediocre; we had to ask for bread and water, and despite the carafe being empty, it was never replenished. The food selection was very limited; aside from burgers and a salad, that was it. The same went for drinks and desserts. In short, we weren't convinced by Buffalo Grill to begin with, and this experience completely sealed the deal for us not to return.

27/01/2026: My partner and I come here often. We're happy to hear that it's getting a makeover! The service is good. It's a shame they sometimes run out of certain dishes.

08/03/2026: A fantastic restaurant!! Definitely make a reservation!! Even for two!! A real treat, amazing flavors...we tried everything on the menu and it was delicious. The kids want to have their birthday party there...We'll see...it's still an hour and 45 minutes from home 🤣

08/03/2026: We hadn't booked, yet we were warmly welcomed on a Sunday at lunchtime. We were told there would be a wait, but the courses kept coming. Good, traditional cooking, just like Grandma used to make. We thoroughly enjoyed this generous meal.

20/03/2026: Excellent place! Warm welcome, fast and impeccable service, fresh and homemade products. We came as a group of eight, including four children, who received little treats (candy skewers, spinning tops, etc.) and the food was excellent! I highly recommend this place; our only regret is living 200km away, otherwise we'd be coming back regularly! Thank you to the staff and the manager for this wonderful discovery.

20/03/2026: While on holiday in Villeneuve-Loubet, we had lunch on the terrace twice in one week. The food was excellent (flank steak, calf's liver, andouillette sausage, Niçoise ravioli, panisses, and homemade fries) – a real treat! And the staff were fantastic: smiling, friendly, and efficient.

18/03/2026: Did not disappoint!! When Googling gluten free in Alpe d'Huez Smithy's Tavern is always at the top, and there is a reason for that. There were plenty of options for veggies, gluten free diets, and those with coeliac, the staff are knowledgeable to cater for all; options include burgers and fajitas. I had the Macho Nacho burger with salt n vinegar fries! The burger was so meaty and tasty, the bun was so good and soft! The fries -insanely good. Staff were really lovely, friendly and attentive. I would recommend booking, luckily we were able to get a table as a walk in when they first opened but it got busy quickly.

10/03/2026: Great restaurant and a lovely atmosphere. My family and I had roasted Camembert and Morteau sausages, and it was excellent. The servers had a great atmosphere. We left with smiles on our faces. It was really wonderful!

21/02/2026: Excellent restaurant, great value for money, all dishes are homemade with a lot of variety in both the menu and the service. I highly recommend it. The waiter was super welcoming and smiling.

08/02/2026: The owner turns away customers, both families and bikers, even though there's plenty of room in the bar, saying they're full. Clearly, they're overwhelmed with very little business. More than 45 minutes wait to be served. They should perhaps consider hiring more staff. The owner, in my opinion, doesn't want to work on a Sunday, even though it's a beautiful 14°C. The staff isn't very friendly. Our table wasn't cleared or cleaned when we arrived, and we had to wait 20 minutes for it to be cleared. If they're overwhelmed with a ray of sunshine, what will it be like during the summer season? I strongly advise against this place. On our departure, knowing that many tables outside were empty, there was supposedly more than a 45-minute wait to be served, even though all the other customers present were served.
