05/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! We had dinner at this restaurant last night. The Cantal cheese tart was so exquisite that we ordered another one for dessert 😅. The owner is passionate and lovingly shares the story behind each bottle. We hung on his every word and gladly sampled the wines he recommended. The waiter was very professional, and the service flowed smoothly from aperitif to digestif! In short, an excellent first visit, and certainly not the last.

07/06/2026: Quite frankly, A fantastic experience. A superb meal, fragrant, fresh, delicious, and generous. The rosé wine is divine; give it a try. We were a party of 10 people of different ages, and everyone enjoyed the meal. The owner is incredibly friendly and creates a great atmosphere. The quality and quantity of the food were excellent. The price was very reasonable. They also accept holiday vouchers. The restaurant is clean, the table is beautifully set, and the restrooms are clean. The service was prompt and efficient. We highly recommend it. The mint tea was a delight. Thank you so much, and see you very soon! P.S.: Don't tell everyone... Otherwise, there won't be any more room...😁

29/05/2026: Restaurant L’Opéra will transport you to Italy, a culinary delight whether you choose the different types of pizzas or other dishes. A must-try! The attentive team will welcome you with kindness and a smile. I highly recommend this establishment, which will tantalize your taste buds.

29/05/2026: Enjoyable evening meal on the terrace. We were served quickly and the waitress was pleasant. We stayed for quite a while and weren't pressured to order more (we each had a cocktail, a pizza, a dessert, and a coffee). Very good pizza!

18/07/2026: I can recommend this leaf-wrapped döner kebab to everyone; it's the most delicious you can eat in and around the Strasbourg area (note: leaf-wrapped döner kebab is special on Saturdays).

22/07/2026: Discovered during a visit to the area. The daily special is excellent. The food is high quality and reasonably priced at €10.50. The staff is friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the shaded terrace.

29/07/2026: The pizzas are excellent, made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, and the service is impeccable. It's always a pleasure to eat in or take away. In my opinion, they're the best pizzas; I highly recommend them!

07/08/2026: Very rude manager… went there and asked for the toilet before ordering the food and got this rude manager on my face who didn’t allow a small child to go to the toilet before ordering food… come on guys…

03/05/2026: Very good food, ever my my mother in law, who is difficult to please food wise enjoyed her dish(12€ dish of the day) The server was supper nice and welcoming. The decorations are really nice, lots of plants everywhere. The dishes descriptions could be a little more precise. Ill come back to try other things :)

17/02/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance after visiting a trade fair. From the outside, it looks like a typical French bistro. We received a very warm welcome from the owner. The Cambodian food was truly excellent and fairly priced. It's a family business: the mother cooks, and the owner manages the bar and service – simply top-notch! Everything is freshly prepared and delicious. It's nothing like the usual Asian restaurants! We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back!

13/07/2026: This is a must-try if you're looking for traditional Alsacian food at a traditional Strasbourg restaurant. Don't waste your time with tourist traps near the cathedral; go here instead! The food is absolutely amazing, the wait staff are helpful, and we were able to sit outside to enjoy the evening air. There's even two macaron shops right across the street!

04/08/2026: Absolutely delicious! Very friendly service and perfect for allergy sufferers. You can usually still find a nice table here during the week – the interior is air-conditioned. 🤗 Excellent matcha and delicious plant-based milk.

04/08/2026: This meal was my first time discovering this lovely restaurant. The welcome was impeccable; the waitress was smiling and energetic. The clean and well-lit space also showcased the beautiful presentation of the dishes (all delicious, needless to say). I will return as often as possible and I highly recommend you check it out. 😊

12/06/2026: We spent a weekend there as a couple. What a shame! There was no kettle or coffee maker in the room... No slippers for the spa or tea corner. We didn't like being seated next to other people in the restaurant, even though there are several dining rooms... it lacked a cozy atmosphere. The meal wasn't exceptional, even though there were four courses for the price we paid. Outside, there was no space by the pool; all the lounge chairs were occupied by towels, but no one was sitting there! To top it all off, we were charged for drinks we didn't order... What a shame for such a beautiful establishment! We don't recommend this hotel...

10/06/2026: What a place to turn 40. 🎂 We spent three nights at Hostellerie des Châteaux on half-board for my birthday and left genuinely happy. The location on the Alsace Wine Route, at the foot of the Vosges, is beautiful, and the property's 2,500m² spa with its pools and saunas gives you plenty of reasons not to leave. The restaurant is the star. ⭐ Each dinner opened with an amuse-bouche, the courses built with real intention, and on our final evening the kitchen surprised us with an unprompted foie gras pâté and a full cheese course. The sommelier deserves his own mention: deep knowledge of Alsace wines, recommendations tailored to our table across all three evenings, and the single biggest reason the dinners will stay with us. 🍷 Breakfast matched the standard: a fresh juicing station, egg station, proper pastries and well-chosen local cheeses. The half-board is worth it. We also slept very well. Some honest improvement notes for this lovely family-run property to take it to 5 stars: - the rooms haven't kept pace with the public areas and the website imagery (and the artificial grass roof, not really nice to look at from the window.. why? 😄) - the pool was way too crowded and the website image shows much less recliner seats when the area was rather cramped at times especially on the weekend. - tea/coffee facilities and individual toiletries in the rooms would lift the experience (they only have a body wash in the shower - an opportunity to improve) - menus in English/German and dietary alternatives (vegetarians etc) would serve the international guests better - the pool bar closing at 18:00 on a warm summer evening, feels way too early but I saw the staff had to rush to the lobby bar (perhaps hire more?) - strength training options would complete the gym which currently has cardio only. - tvs didn’t have any working English channels and the ability to cast to the TV wasn’t properly advertised, perhaps add a proper TV smart guide? None of this took away from a wonderful stay and a birthday to remember. Thank you to the whole team, and especially the restaurant and bar team. 06/08/2026: Restaurant in Eschau. Large parking lot in front of the restaurant. Spacious indoor dining room and also a large outdoor terrace. Very busy, with many regulars. The waitresses are smiling and friendly. Plenty of choices, including the daily special and set menus. I opted for an Alsatian salad which was excellent, although there were a lot of raw vegetables and not much Gruyère cheese. It wasn't the Alsatian salad I was used to. A minor complaint about the beer (€11.60 for 50cl!!!!!) and the cappuccino (lots of whipped cream and not much coffee). Good place to eat in Eschau

09/07/2026: The food is excellent, and the service, both in the dining room and the dishwashing, is impeccable. Unfortunately, the experience is spoiled by the behavior of Jacques, the bartender. He is particularly unpleasant, and his attitude ruins the restaurant's atmosphere. When working in customer service, a minimum of professionalism, respect, and courtesy is expected. A more pleasant way of speaking to customers would make a real difference. Furthermore, he is rarely seen leaving his bar during the evening. On the other hand, he is easily overheard talking loudly with the brunette waitress about matters that have no place in front of the customers. This lack of discretion detracts from the restaurant's ambiance. It's a real shame, because the quality of the food, the service, and the dishwashing deserve to be highlighted.
