02/08/2026: We've been coming to this restaurant from time to time for the past nine years, and we've never been disappointed. The quality is always excellent, both in terms of the food and the service. The terrace is lovely in the summer, while the dining room is a bit noisier in the winter. Be sure to make a reservation!

20/07/2026: Fantastic caterer for our wedding. We had planned a spit-roasted wild boar with a vegetable brazier, suggested by Jérôme. Due to the drought, we decided to change things up, and he immediately responded by offering a stuffed pig, which was excellent and a huge hit: it was all gone! You can tell Jérôme is passionate and dedicated to satisfying his clients. One small drawback: he was difficult to reach in the months leading up to the wedding, but the week before, there were no problems at all; he was very responsive. 07/07/2026: We hired Jérôme Catering for a birthday party for about thirty people. The menu was created perfectly to meet our requests and requirements. The guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and everyone had a wonderful time at the meal. I highly recommend them!

26/06/2026: We ordered a chocolate muffin for dessert, which turned out to be dry and hard: I couldn't even finish it because it was definitely not fresh (more than two days old...). The service was a bit slow for the salad/open-faced sandwich and the filled croissant. The filled croissant was very good. But I was left with a bad impression because of this dessert, which spoiled my overall experience.

The welcome is warm, the service attentive, and the dishes are as delicious as ever. You can feel their expertise and their desire to please their customers. The atmosphere is friendly, and you're guaranteed a wonderful time every time you visit. I highly recommend it!

11/07/2026: Since the restaurant was taken over by the right owners, it's simply perfect! If you haven't been back since the change of ownership, you absolutely must. The welcome is warm, the owners are incredibly kind, and you immediately feel at home. We were served very quickly; we ordered meat dishes, which were generous and delicious. And what can I say about the dessert… The French toast is simply the best I've ever eaten! A true delight. We had a wonderful evening from beginning to end and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend everyone come (or come back) to discover this restaurant; you won't be disappointed!

01/08/2026: Just perfect! Really great french cuisine and just really great dishes! Even fresh peas and beans. Great service in a mix of german/english and french. But just perfect in any way! One Star less on the food because the fish was very overdone, the margret de canasrd etc. was really perfect. Its just the fish that was too dry. But we will come again.

26/05/2026: We have been traveling Europe for eight days. This is by far the best meal we have had. Lots of food, well prepared and beautiful presentation. The price was excellent and the service first rate. Highly recommend. Absolutely delicious

26/05/2026: Stopped at Black Horse during a motorcycle trip through France — six of us, hungry and looking for a proper lunch. We were not disappointed. We all went for the aubergine with rice and minced meat, and it was a genuinely surprising dish: deep, layered flavours, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. Not the kind of thing you expect to stumble upon mid-ride, which made it all the better. The terrace in the shade was the perfect spot to cool down, take off the gear, and enjoy a relaxed meal together. Friendly atmosphere, no fuss, just good food and a nice setting. Highly recommended if you’re passing through. We’ll be back.

Passing through, I followed the reviews, and it's true that the carpaccio is excellent; judging by the other diners, the pizzas were too. Corsican beer, Pietra and Colomba Blanche, excellent! A very good pear for a digestif. So, in conclusion, I highly recommend this friendly restaurant.
