27/08/2026: We went to Bistrot des Vigiers after a morning at the spa. It was our first romantic meal together in a long time, without the children. We were celebrating our wedding in an intimate setting. Everything started very well. The aperitif and starter were excellent. For our main courses, we ordered the beef and the duck breast. After 45 minutes without being served, and seeing that everyone else was being served, and no longer having time to stay for another course (which would arrive who knows when, and we don't have unlimited childcare), we decided to leave and pay. The head waiter gave us an extremely poor reception, a hint of ego, and no apology whatsoever. He blamed us entirely for the significant delay: apparently, ordering medium-rare meat takes MUCH longer. This haughty gentleman didn't understand what we had to do other than wait to eat in his restaurant. What a disappointment for a restaurant located in such a 4-star hotel. We paid what we owed, he left with the bill, didn't say goodbye, offered no gesture of goodwill, and still no apology. We didn't expect to be treated like this. Our experience was ruined. We unfortunately won't be returning if we're ever in the area. It's a shame, the food looked very good.

26/04/2026: I was only at the restaurant. The setting was magnificent, with a breathtaking view of the lovely priory bay and decor that perfectly complemented the natural surroundings. Such a setting invites tranquility, which the somewhat rushed and, for some, insensitive service prevented from being fully appreciated. I should clarify, however, that this observation doesn't apply to all the staff. But indeed, no one needs to empty the bottle of champagne before the starter, and it's a shame to have to repeat this without noticing a certain irritation with the service. The simplest solution would be to let customers serve themselves, if they request it or demonstrate it. The cheese service was also a bit rushed. This is somewhat of a shame considering the quality of the dishes, which seemed to be a tribute to the beauty of the landscape, with a special mention for the leek, in my opinion. I would also suggest a menu more suited to the developing palates of our children. In any case, despite some early-season adjustments, the evening was good.

30/08/2026: This was our second visit (our first was 8 years ago). It's still just as enjoyable. We went on a 2-hour horseback ride through the entire estate, while the others rode ponies and took a ride on the little train around the grounds. It's an authentic place steeped in family history. The welcome is warm. I highly recommend a visit, and especially the horseback ride, which is nothing like the ones offered by roadside rental companies.

Not being a fan of bullfighting, your explanations and the remarkable natural setting helped me understand the difference between France and Spain regarding your art. Your respect for the animal and its protection opened my eyes to your own respect for animals. I invite those skeptical of your games to come and see the well-being of your animals. Your estate allows us to travel and experience nature in its purest form. Thank you for these excursions (train, horse-drawn carriage, and horseback) that reveal a lush natural environment. 02/09/2026: Disgusting sharing platter... the galette was like shoe leather (defrosted), the salmon was awful, borderline awful, with avocado, red onion, and radish... all without any seasoning, €14.90 😱 and the two non-alcoholic cocktails were €8.90, not €6.90 (5:27 pm as the waiter said). €32.90 for a little afternoon treat on an empty stomach... and then they'll complain that people aren't buying anything 🤣
