07/12/2025: We had lunch here with my husband and two children during a visit to Metz. We received a very warm welcome and the waiters were friendly. The menu was varied, and all the products were sourced from local producers. The ribeye steak was the best I've had in a long time in a restaurant—perfectly cooked. The revisited steak tartare was delicious, and the burgers were generous. The desserts are a real highlight, with many homemade options! The tarte Tatin was delicious, and the little pistachio and raspberry financiers were equally delightful. We highly recommend it!

14/02/2026: We booked online. And upon arrival, they refused entry because we had a Pomeranian weighing 2 kg. They claimed that dogs weren't allowed, despite our online prepayment, and that their room was too small. Appalling. The service was appalling. You all know. Forget it if you love animals.

15/02/2026: Unbelievable! Arriving with friends who had booked 21 days in advance, we were shocked to be refused service at this establishment because they claimed we didn't have a reservation. So we left. To err is human, but a smile, an apology, and a promise of a discount on a future visit would have been enough to ease our disappointment. Therefore, we will never set foot in this establishment again.

The meal was excellent; we were pleasantly surprised by the food, everything was delicious. I chose a glass of white wine from the Charentes region, which was excellent—a little dry yet also slightly fruity. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Rochefort.
