27/05/2026: My favorite restaurant in Chartres. The best Caesar salad in the region and a perfectly executed spritz. The food is high quality at reasonable prices. The staff is very professional and friendly. Impeccable service.

25/05/2026: Had a great lunch here. Excellent service and we ordered off the menu du jour. We both had the grilled sea bream which was recommended and perfect for lunch. We shared a bottle of Sancerre rosé which was again recommended and delicious. Desserts also top notch. No hesitation to recommend

06/04/2026: A magnificent paella, I highly recommend Julien. An excellent caterer. Thank you to him for the delicious dishes and his kindness.

04/06/2026: We had a reservation for Mother's Day at 1 p.m. After several requests, the aperitif was finally served at 1:50 p.m. The champagne wasn't chilled! The reason given for the delay was a computer problem. The rest of the meal was just as difficult. The starters: a tiny slice of foie gras (€29), six barely warm stuffed meadows (€14). The main courses (Crying Tiger) were acceptable. During this meal, we were disappointed by the lack of communication from management, who were, of course, present when it came time to pay! In addition, there was an error in the menu prices, an extra €15! The staff did their best, but they weren't responsible for the situation. In short, a celebratory meal turned into a nightmare, with very poor value for money. A shame, a regular customer, very disappointed!

03/06/2026: Beautiful setting and nice food. It's a shame to hear the waiters' personal conversations, which don't really fit the style of this restaurant.

24/04/2026: A very beautiful and charming hotel. It's a real treat to be able to work remotely from their garden overlooking the lake. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The only improvement worth noting is that they don't have a dinner menu; they might suggest what they have available at the time.

17/04/2026: An exceptional experience at this venue. We had the opportunity to DJ at a wedding there, and everything came together perfectly to create a truly memorable moment: an elegant setting, seamless organization, and a professional and attentive team. The venue lends itself ideally to musical direction, with a real sense of cohesion between the spaces and the key moments of the event, from the cocktail hour to the evening reception. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue to both couples getting married and vendors.

12/06/2026: A very beautiful estate, worth discovering.

08/06/2026: Individual bungalow in a wooded park, one of ten bungalows, next to the star-rated hotel. Poorly signposted, railway line nearby (thankfully, few trains). Weared bedding (mattress...). Breakfast, eaten once at the hotel, buffet style, plentiful and varied. Welcoming staff.

17/05/2026: We came for dinner as a party of eight and were very disappointed. The children were served last. The waitress forgot our second bottle of wine and only brought it at the very end of the meal. The portions were a huge surprise: we ordered frogs' legs for four, but the portions were tiny. The table next to us, also for four people, had at least twice the amount on their plates for the same dish. Despite ordering one bottle of champagne and two bottles of wine, there was no table service: we had to serve ourselves. Given the price and the lack of professionalism, we do not recommend this restaurant.

06/04/2026: This was our second time eating at the restaurant, and we were disappointed. First, the children were supposed to participate in an Easter egg hunt (Easter Sunday), but after being seated, we asked how it was going and were told it was over. When it came time to order drinks, the children were forgotten; we had to place their order directly at the bar, even though the order had already been given to another waitress and never received. Then, out of 14 people, only 3 had ordered frog legs, and we only received a small plate, which I think was meant for two, despite the €7 supplement per person. The portions weren't enough... it's a real shame because the food is good. The service is too rushed and sloppy; the waitresses don't take their time, it's like a factory. They didn't even come around to refill the water or bread. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad if the restaurant turned down some reservations and took more time. It would certainly be quieter too. It's a shame because in a restaurant, it's not just the food that's important; everything else is essential for a good reputation. The value for money isn't there.

02/06/2026: Even though the place could use a little updating, this aparthotel is ideally located, with a lovely view of the lake. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and very quiet. We would have preferred a shower instead of a bathtub. The breakfast delivered to the room was a great touch; it was perfect.

29/05/2026: First stay at the Lido, just one night with my dog, and it was very pleasant! Very clean, nice decor, and very comfortable bedding. 👌 The staff were also very friendly and accommodating because I made a mistake with my reservation. The restaurant was closed, so we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the beach in the evening and again in the morning when we woke up – pure bliss! Breakfast was fantastic! Having your carefully prepared little box delivered was a lovely touch; I appreciated being able to eat with that view (the oranges were delicious). The setting is really nice, and you also have access to the path around the lake. Thank you, and I look forward to coming back.

15/05/2026: I really like this place, but I was disappointed. The service is too fast, and the quality of the food isn't as good as it used to be, especially the gourmet coffee. It's not good value for money. It's a shame because the place itself is very nice.

01/06/2026: A somewhat disappointing evening in terms of taste. The waitress didn't know the dishes, forgot to bring us the carafe of water and coffee at the end of the meal, but didn't forget to charge us for it. We pointed this out when paying, but the waitress, who was standing next to the waiter handling the payment (who did offer us coffee at the counter and apologize for our dissatisfaction), offered no apology. Similarly, when we brought our plates back, the same waitress, to whom we spoke about our dissatisfaction with one dish (the scallops were overcooked, bland, and only two out of three were returned), said she would pass on the information. We never heard back, hence the complaint, which we felt was important to report. On the other hand, we were pleasantly surprised by the desserts, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We always enjoyed good food and excellent service under the previous owners, but now with the new owners, we won't be returning anytime soon. Too disappointing for just one evening. We do not recommend this establishment.

30/05/2026: Some rooms are outdated, and the value for money is disappointing. Upon arrival, the air conditioning was broken, even though it was 30°C outside. As a result, we were in unbearably hot conditions all night, and the staff offered no alternative solution at the time. The services are not really commensurate with the price charged!

20/05/2026: A great place for coffee, sweets, and brunch. The steak is a blessing from God, a must-try! The mashed potatoes are delicious, and the salmon is tasty but easy to prepare. The review is based solely on the ambiance and the mash.
