18/07/2026: Staying in Saint-Palais, I was looking for a restaurant offering good food with a nice view (something you don't find in the seaside resort). The staff gave us a very warm welcome. We were seated on the terrace, and the view from the restaurant is breathtaking. It was a bit windy that evening. The very kind staff offered us a table inside by the window to preserve the view, as my partner was feeling a bit chilly. The recommendations from the head waiter were excellent, both in terms of food and wine. The service and the quality of the dishes were both top-notch. The Irish coffee to finish the meal was exceptionally well-prepared by the head waiter. My experience at this establishment is a 10/10. Thank you to the team who were fantastic throughout the entire meal! Special mention goes to our favorite waiter, who is a genuine person; you can clearly see that this gentleman loves his job! And also to his style of dress (purple trousers and Nike sneakers – he might recognize us!), which I personally adore!!

27/05/2026: On the port of La Flotte en Ré, a warm welcome and friendly service await you. The scallop menu was delicious (the scallops were cooked to perfection) and the dessert was superb! A must-visit on the island!

27/05/2026: Good meal. Friendly and good service. Just one small disappointment... the fries... fresh ones would have been nice. Don't hesitate if you're in the area.

10/07/2026: A perfect place for a culinary journey, and much more... Under a shaded terrace, we enjoyed a (very) generous brunch made with high-quality ingredients. We almost forgot we were in the heart of La Rochelle. We'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

12/06/2026: A truly wonderful spot right in the heart of the city, on Place Verdun. The welcome is incredibly friendly and warm, and the menu offers a great selection of original dishes, including five very well-thought-out breakfast options. The first option features a delicious French toast croissant. The lunch menu is also very original, offering salads and dishes that, as the menu itself describes, "take you on a journey." I highly recommend it!

02/07/2026: At the TGV, Marie always welcomes us cordially; it's not a gourmet restaurant at all, but you can eat very well for prices that today defy all competition.

30/06/2026: A surprisingly delicious and huge ham and goat cheese sandwich (really a large baguette) at this little café/ bar on a whistle stop today. In and out in 5 minutes tops.

10/06/2026: I knew about it, because I'd heard a lot about it. Last week, on Friday, February 5th, I took my 208 in for its MOT, right next door. I quickly went to the Leclerc supermarket in the rain to get some cash, then I came back for a couple of coffees while watching a match. I received a very warm welcome from a friendly person. 16/07/2026: Stop searching for a restaurant on the quayside and do as we did and discover Les Embruns, slightly tucked away. I admit that chance played a large part in this discovery. So what can I say except that there's nothing to complain about? Everything is perfect: the welcome, the food. The little accompaniments with the aperitifs, the "trou rétois" as digestifs, were all very nice touches. Bravo!
