27/07/2026: A very warm welcome, despite our late arrival after 2 pm on this Sunday. The meal was hearty and delicious; we were delighted to have lunch here.

02/07/2026: I would recommend this place for a sweet treat with a view over the cathedral. The basque cheesecake was well done, less cheesy than some, more on the sweet side, but very pleasant! The cherry basque cake was very good. They also have a good variety of coffee, though I must say that the soy milk they used was not the best. The service was a bit slow, but not excessively so.

19/07/2026: We had a wonderful time. The meal was excellent; everything was delicious. The meat was incredibly tender and melted in your mouth. The pig's trotters were a real treat. The melon was perfectly sweet and had a succulent flavor. The tripe was exquisite, with no acidity. The chocolate mousse was smooth and thick—truly fantastic. The staff is dynamic and incredibly friendly. The chef is attentive to the well-being and satisfaction of his customers. This is an excellent restaurant.

05/07/2026: We had lunch as a family; we had made a reservation, but it wasn't recorded. The food was excellent: delicious, fresh, and plentiful. However, the service was a disaster: the waiter was unfriendly and even made comments about our choices. It was as if not ordering dessert was a crime! We used to come here regularly, but this meal will be our last! The service is an integral part of the price, and this lack of courtesy left us with a very poor impression of this establishment.

18/06/2026: Fantastic meal. I rediscovered the taste of my grandfather Henri's garbure, who passed away 20 years ago. The same taste, what a joy! It was also wonderful to still find, in 2026, a daily special for €16.50 including: Garbure Charcuterie Dish of the day (it was fish with sauce and eggplant gratin) Homemade dessert: a fabulous homemade Basque cake with cream The owners were incredibly welcoming, and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. I loved it! I'll be back, thank you!

15/08/2026: We arrived last night after booking by phone. We hadn't realized the restaurant was completely non-smoking, including the outdoor terrace... It was only when we asked for an ashtray that we were informed, with the suggestion that we smoke practically in the parking lot. This isn't why we're giving this bad review, but because of the furious look the waitress gave us when we told her we wouldn't be staying. There were barely three tables occupied, and we weren't even offered a separate table. We were shocked by this knee-jerk reaction, which we didn't deserve! If this had been explained to us beforehand on the phone, we wouldn't have booked. It's a shame because the terrace is truly beautiful, with plants and plenty of shade. Too bad we missed our appointment 🤷🏼

06/06/2026: Following a group training course nearby, we had lunch here on June 4th and 5th. The welcome was very friendly, the service incredibly fast and attentive, and the food excellent. It was two truly enjoyable moments. Thank you to the management. It's a wonderful discovery (especially for someone like me who rarely returns to Pau...).
