26/02/2026: Discovering the aquarium and the restaurant. The pros: - The generous and separate side dishes - The menu items - The lounge areas at the entrance and behind the bar - The baby changing area, which isn't in the women's restroom, and whose changing mat is on a firm surface (a huge plus for a wriggling child!) - The high chair, as well as the offer to warm up food (even though I didn't need it) - The view The cons (which wasn't a surprise, since we mentioned it during our meal): Only soft drinks or cocktails are entitled to appetizers, but not a glass of wine or beer. The absurdity of this meant that, on that day (a Monday during school holidays, near La Rochelle), the appetizers were served to two children at the table next to us (the youngest of whom wouldn't have been entitled to them, according to any parent strictly following the recommendations for introducing solids...). I did not appreciate that the "fault" (of the lack of service, then of the lack of information) was placed on "the colleague who is starting today".

21/09/2025: A wonderful discovery at Le Barcarès. The venue is very pleasant, with a dining room and veranda. The prices are very affordable, with an all-inclusive menu, from aperitifs to coffee. The cuisine is carefully prepared and beautifully presented, with top-quality ingredients and generous portions. In short, everything was perfect. A special mention goes to the young student waitress we spoke to: she was efficient, professional, charming, and very friendly. This also contributed to the success of the meal.

This Clamato, which we used to love, lacks precision in the details: the whiting is too salty, the squash garnish overwhelms the delicate mayonnaise, the Vulcain pear cider is tired from the tap, and the service is mechanical… It remains a charming place that deserves a boost!

16/01/2026: The food was truly awful. The knives served were full of sand (so they hadn't been washed), basically garbage. The lobster was lukewarm, as was its side dish, and the wait was incredibly long even though the restaurant was only three-quarters empty.

Ideally located opposite the fishing port, this restaurant is a true treat for the taste buds. The ingredients are exceptionally fresh (you can taste the proximity to the fish market!) and the Camargue and Mediterranean specialties, such as their famous Rouille Graulenne or the catch of the day, are prepared with remarkable skill. Whether you opt for the generous seafood platter or a dish from the menu, everything is homemade and bursting with flavor. The service is warm and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for an authentic place with a friendly atmosphere and high-quality seafood, look no further! We highly recommend it! We'll be back with pleasure. ☀️
