17/03/2026: A very pleasant place run by very friendly people. I'm gluten and lactose intolerant, and I was meeting up with friends. From the moment I called, I received a very warm welcome from people who know their cuisine and the regulations concerning allergens. I was able to eat my first razor clams, as they're cooked in oil. Everything was delicious and very enjoyable.

17/03/2026: Lovely staff and excellent food. The dishes are homemade with fresh ingredients. You won't find them on every menu in the area. A nice bonus is the beautiful dining room with its vaulted ceiling. We were there with our one-month-old baby, and they took that into account to ensure our comfort. We highly recommend it.

23/03/2026: The seafood is certainly excellent, but the cooked dishes are disappointing. The salt cod and sun-dried tomato Tatin is like a reheated shepherd's pie, and Provençal tomatoes as a side dish in February?!

22/03/2026: Ah, Tonton Louis! A magical place for both the taste buds and the atmosphere! Located right on the edge of the fishing port of La Rochelle Chef de Baie, the food couldn't be fresher and the staff incredibly welcoming. Whatever the season, it's always a special occasion to spend an evening in this extraordinary restaurant!

25/02/2026: We were craving some spanish food and went here. It was a rustic vibe restaurant. Run by mum and pop, fresh food, good quality & quantity. Highly recommend.

20/09/2025: We ate at La Gabare last night with my partner and her mother. It's always so good and plentiful. The restaurant is for sale, I hope it's just a passing idea because we would miss the kindness, the atmosphere, the quality of the dishes and their great generosity. It's the second time I've had the mountain burger and I'm enjoying it so much that I hope to be able to eat more next year. And if the restaurant sells anyway, we'll follow Cathy, the owner, in her projects which we hope won't be too far off.

15/09/2025: A very warm welcome, restaurant with a view of the Dordogne. I ordered the vegan platter ☺️ it was amazing with the mint sauce, I loved it. A very generous and delicious portion. Highly recommended!

25/01/2026: I had lunch at this establishment today and was once again genuinely impressed by the excellence of the cuisine: exceptional dishes, refined presentation, and expertly crafted flavor combinations. The welcome was extraordinary, the service impeccable and attentive, and what can I say about the setting of this magnificent Lucéen residence? Don't hesitate, this restaurant never disappoints. Thank you to the owners for this wonderful experience.

05/03/2026: A warm welcome, a lovely view, and a very, very good meal at a reasonable price. We also appreciated the table layout (we weren't crammed in with other people... important to us 😉). We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!

02/01/2026: 10 minutes to be served when the terrace was practically empty 2 cold coffees We're still waiting for the glass of water because the waiter kept saying, "Oh yes, darn, I forgot!" It's too hard to remember three things to serve! Anyway...!!! Waiting is a profession

12/03/2026: The staff has changed; we were regulars before, and the waitress' friendliness is limited. We miss the atmosphere that used to exist, and despite our loyalty since the restaurant opened, we're thinking of going elsewhere.

11/03/2026: Where to begin… So disastrous… They try to make you believe in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, but they don't hesitate to screw you over whenever they can. I had to pay €25 more on my order at the whim of the head waitress, complain, and get a refund, only to have the till closed, all while being told it wasn't her fault and that I should complain to management if I disagree. That's where we are. It's clearly a chain restaurant, without any scruples or integrity, and then they wonder why there aren't many customers. I hope your so-called restaurant disappears from our sight. I'll just say these two words: Good riddance!

13/11/2025: Don't bother going unless you're buying watches; most of the stock has been taken by the sales staff for their own purchases. I don't blame them, as they're all losing their jobs with this closure, but it's still frustrating.

04/11/2025: Hello, I went to the store to scout out items for the big clearance sale scheduled for October 15, 2025, to buy from all the sales counters and all the major brands. To my great surprise, I caught saleswomen setting items aside for their friends. According to commercial law, it is strictly forbidden to disadvantage or show favoritism towards loyal customers who have remained so throughout the year, not just for Wednesday the 15th. Thanks to those who make things happen at the Centre Bourse; this never happens at "PRADO." And what about the expected crowds on Wednesday, October 15th? Being visually impaired, I won't be able to come unless a saleswoman can guide me with my purchases. It's a shame that this store is closing permanently; we'll go to Terrasses du Port for our shopping.

28/02/2026: Restaurant with a beautiful view of the Loire. The dishes were excellent, and thank you for the vegetarian option! The red wine, however, was a little chilled.

21/02/2026: A very pleasant experience, the staff were incredibly friendly, the food was excellent, and the portions were generous. A major plus was the French toast for dessert, which was delicious!! (Finally, real French toast and not just brioche!)
