22/11/2025: We had a wonderful time at Japanhao restaurant in Mulhouse. The welcome was very professional and warm, and the establishment was impeccably clean. Located a little outside the city center, it has a calm and pleasant atmosphere. It's a beautiful place, and everything is designed to make the customer, welcomed like a guest, feel perfectly at ease.
The menu is very well designed. In addition to written descriptions, there are photos, which is really helpful for those unfamiliar with sushi or Asian cuisine. We mainly ate sushi 🍣🥢 and it was absolutely delicious, truly nothing to complain about. A delight from beginning to end. The prices are reasonable and consistent with the quality offered.
It's almost perfect. Perhaps the only small thing we missed was the opportunity to watch the sushi being prepared, to have that direct interaction with the sushi chef, as in some other establishments. But that's really a minor detail.
In short: we loved it, and we'll definitely be back. A superb discovery.

Frankly, the experience was very bad, and we won't be going back.

12/06/2025: A mountain inn with a special warmth, excellent food made from many home-grown ingredients, and simple yet cozy rooms. In summer, we were awakened by the morning sun on our pillows and the sound of swallows. Later, we had breakfast on the large sun terrace in front of the house, with a sweeping view of the countryside and the upcoming hike. The perfect day!

Friendly welcome.
Alsatian atmosphere as soon as you walk in.
The restaurant offers tarte flambée and other regional products. Perfect, we came to eat local food.
Not too many local desserts.
Tarte flambée with Munster cheese was a generous portion! The flavor was a bit bland.
We wanted to order two portions of fries, but the waiter advised us to order only one—a thoughtful gesture, as we didn't even finish the first one! Thank you.
For dessert, we had apple cinnamon tart flambéed with Calvados, again very generous! It was hard to finish it all.
In conclusion: it's definitely an Alsatian restaurant; it's good, nothing more, but the portions are very generous and the staff is friendly.
We had a good time.

09/11/2025: There were six of us. Naturally, everyone ordered something different, but that wasn't a problem at all. We received excellent and extremely friendly service from the owner himself; all our requests were promptly fulfilled, and we felt truly welcome. Regarding the food, it should be noted that the appetizers were a bit poor value for money. We're not big eaters, but the appetizers were very small. The main courses were of good quality, but again, they lacked that final touch. Dessert was standard, so it was fine. Drinks were reasonably priced, with a slight Swiss influence. The interior has been completely renovated, but it lacks a bit of atmosphere. The overall impression was that we could have received a bit more for the prices charged. Nevertheless, it's worth a visit, as we're really nitpicking.

It's hard to make the waitress smile. The Alsatian reception was not very positive among my friends from the interior, except for the Parisians who are used to a lack of friendliness.
