24/06/2024: Très belle découverte de l'accueil jusqu'au dessert. restaurant recommandé par l'hôtel IBIS situé a quelques mètres. Personnel agréable, souriant et sympa. Belle carte à prix raisonnables. Repas excellent.
19/06/2024: Endroit typiquement alsacien, décor oblige. Une carte bien fournie, avec un menu du jour qui varie régulièrement. A la carte je me suis fait plaisir avec une salade vigneronne en entrée (prévoir pour 2, très copieux), un jambonneau braisé ensuite.
Un pur régal, à refaire...Une équipe de serveurs très efficaces et sympas.
Bravo, très bon restaurant, pardon Winstub...

29/07/2024: Zeer goed traditioneel restaurant met lokale en seizoensgebonden gerechten. Vriendelijke ontvangst! Gezellig en traditioneel lokaal. Heel eerlijke en lekkere keuken. Wijnkaart met lokale wijnen en wijnen van eigen wijnhuis. Zeer correcte prijzen! Heel goed adres!

It’s the best tarte flambée I’ve eaten in Alsace!👍🏽
With little care for us and the children, the service was impeccable and the dishes delicious.

30/06/2024: After going to a restaurant with a storefront around the Place de Neuf-brisach where they didn't even take the time after 5 minutes to welcome us, or even to say hello, we went at the ramparts restaurant:
•Warm and smiling welcome
•unpretentious but good dishes, cooked precisely and well served
•good value for money
What more?
(For constructive criticism, but in no way detracts from my satisfaction, a little renewal of paint and decor would be a real plus)

06/04/2024: I went for lunch at this bakery and asked for a coffee when ordering. The waitress never brought it to me despite my complaints. She served coffee to customers who had arrived after me and when it came time to pay, she pretended I had drunk it! This left a terrible bad impression on me.....!!!!!
02/04/2024: The saleswomen are very friendly, always a warm welcome.
I was always happy with their baguettes, but 15 days ago, they decided to no longer make white flour baguettes.
The chef said that they will make more than traditional baguettes with the crumb being too firm, not aerated, does not freeze well because it becomes rubbery and does not stay crispy!
Really a shame, that they don't listen to the needs of customers, I wouldn't go to them anymore, I can travel more miles by car and so, I found my happiness elsewhere!

08/09/2024: What a fabulous meal! We loved every course. Came for a relaxing Sunday lunch and had high hopes for the food but it far exceeded our expectations. Each course was full of favor (including umami), texture and visual appeal. Remarkable food. Clear from the components and flavor how talented the chef is. The chef was very kind, approachable and accommodating. He explained each dish in some detail.
The chef’s wife recommended the perfect bottle to accompany the meal. The wine list is carefully curated and we had a wine from the town; perfect with the food.
The restaurant is very interesting in terms of decor. Fits the cuisine- very artistic, novel, fascinating.
Thrilled to have had the opportunity to dine here.

I strongly advise you not to ask for a carafe of water in this restaurant. The manager, visibly disrespectful, will yell at you, saying that a waffle accompanied by tomato juice is not enough to hope to get free water.
It is also blatant that this manager gives no importance to the laws. Even when you show him in black and white the regulations stipulating the obligation to provide free water, he will react with shouts, abrupt gestures and insults.
After 19 years of career, one could hope for a minimum of professionalism and respect towards customers. It may be time to consider a career change.

De plus, la personne qui nous a servi était tout à fait aimable, donnant des renseignements et des conseils de dégustation ( accord mets / vins).
Les patisseries de la vitrine, bien achalandée, faisait très envie.

Of course, this family restaurant is a must-see place and I highly recommend it, especially if you are very hungry. The presentation of the dishes is magnificent and many “homemade” desserts will satisfy your taste buds 🤗
I will not hesitate for a single second to go back (which is already the case)
Go there with your eyes closed and you will not be disappointed.

15/10/2024: bien accueillis comme toujours, nous avons apprécié ce déjeuner alsacien tant attendu ! tarte à l'oignon que nous avons partagé, suivi d'une choucroute et d'un jarret sur choucroute et pour terminé une tarte aux quetsches délicieuse.
C'était très copieux et très bon.
Merci à toute l'équipe de la part des "bretons"! il nous tarde de revenir en mai 2025 !
